If redness and swelling have already formed but pus has not yet developed, this method is miraculously effective!
Take a corner of the patient's clothing, tightly pinch it with your hand, and hold it fixed above the affected eye. Recite the incantation while twisting. With each sentence recited, twist tighter, saying: "Yi shen di yi jue yan" (Transferring the severe toxicity to a wooden peg). Continue reciting this seven times in one breath. After finishing the seven recitations, continue twisting along with the rhythm of the voice, tightening it until a knot is formed. Once the knot is secured, the ailment will naturally subside. Only untie it when the eye has fully recovered. Sincerity of mind is crucial; there is no need for the patient to know the incantation, or one may perform the self-incantation if desired.

Grind all ingredients except honey into an extremely fine powder. Mix thoroughly with honey. Place the mixture into a fresh bamboo tube. Wrap with multiple layers of oil paper and tie tightly with thread to prevent water ingress. Boil in a clean pot with water from morning until noon. Add water as needed when it dries up. Remove, pour out the liquid, filter through silk gauze to remove dregs, and store in a clean vessel. Bury underground overnight. The next day, remove and apply to the eyes. Wash with warm water after application. For thin opacities, applying three to five times will cause the opacity to fall off with the medicine. Using gold wire for the applicator stick is best. More frequent applications yield faster results. This prescription is also detailed in *Lu Shi Xu Fang*.
