Zishen (Scutellaria Barbatae Herba or Lithospermi Radix - context dependent, here likely Scutellaria barbata based on formula name "Zishen" often referring to Scutellaria barbata in some contexts, but traditionally Zishen can be Lithospermum; given the pairing with Ren Shen and Ejiao, and historical usage, it is often Scutellaria barbata or similar. However, strictly following WHO terms, if ambiguous, we list the name. In Song dynasty texts, Zishen often refers to Scutellaria barbata (Herba Scutellariae Barbatae) or sometimes Lithospermi Radix. Given the hemostatic context, Scutellaria barbata is common. Let's stick to the Chinese name extraction primarily.) Grind the above three ingredients equally into a fine powder. Take mixed with Wumei Tang (Mume Fruit Decoction).
