薏苡仁不拘多少，为细末，以煮熟猪胰切作片，蘸药，食后微空时，取意食之。盖薏苡

盏，煮至一盏，去滓，分作二服便愈！

又方，好麻油纸捻 鼻中，顷之打嚏即愈。韬光云此方甚奇，其母邻人一夕常衄盈盆，
百药不效，用此遂愈。

取薏苡仁不限数量，研成细末，将煮熟的猪胰切成片，蘸取药粉，在饭后稍感饥饿时，随意吃下。因为薏苡仁能补肺，而猪胰可以引导药力进入经络。陈敏捷曾用单方治疗肺痈吐脓血，用薏苡仁三合，捣碎，用水两大盏，煮至一盏，去掉药渣，分两次服用，病即痊愈！

灸发际处一个穴位，五到七壮，如麦粒大小；烧头发为细末，或者龙骨煅烧后研为细末，分别用鼻子吸入；萝卜汁或藕汁，滴入鼻中；几盏灯盏，用滚开水煮，逐枚捞出，趁热放在头顶上，冷了即更换，谯知阁熙载在壬子年患病，用此法治愈；蒲黄二钱，先用新汲水调服，老年人不用此法，其次用米脑（米泔水沉淀物）细细研磨，用热的马粪汁调匀上述米脑，用鹅毛管扫入鼻中，立刻止血，马粪热时就有汁液，冷了就没有汁液；赤芍药末，用冷水调服；五倍子一两碾成细末，新棉烧成灰，两味药等分，用米汤调服；石榴花片塞入鼻中即可止血。
用旧的麻油灯盏扣在头顶心，用东西系紧固定，一会儿就止血了。
褚日新的方子。
取一块真透明阿胶，大小如小指，贴在眉心，立刻止血。

To treat hematemesis (vomiting blood), use the "Zhangzhong Jin" (Golden Palm) formula.
Take equal parts of Zhen Puhuang (Authentic *Polygoni Orientalis Pollen*) and Huangyaozi (*Dioscorea bulbifera*), mix them with Sheng Mayou (Raw Sesame Oil) in the palm of the hand, and lick it with the tongue.
Another formula, which also treats epistaxis (nosebleed).
Take equal parts of Gafen (Margarita Powder) and Baijiaoxiang (White Rosin), mix with Haosongyanmozhi (Good Pine Soot Ink Juice), and take orally.
The Formula of Physician Wang, transmitted by Cai Bangdu.
Remove the hairs from Xiangfuzi (*Cyperi Rhizoma*), grind into fine powder, and take with rice water (Mi Yin).
Zhao Junyou stated that this has been tried repeatedly with good results.
Take Yiyiren (*Coicis Semen*) in any quantity, grind into fine powder. Slice cooked Zhuyi (Pig Pancreas), dip into the medicine, and eat it at leisure when slightly hungry after meals. This is because Yiyiren can tonify the Lung, while Zhuyi guides the medicinal properties into the meridians. Chen Minjie used a single-herb prescription to treat Feiabss (Lung Abscess) with expectoration of pus and blood: three he of Yiyiren, crushed, boiled in two large bowls of water until reduced to one bowl, strain the dregs, and divide into two doses for cure!

Siwu Tang (Four Substances Decoction) added with Cebaiye (Biota Tops), decocted and taken orally.
Moxibustion on one acupoint at the hairline, five to seven moxa cones (Zhuang), sized like wheat grains; burn human hair into powder, or calcined Longgu (Fossilized Bones) into powder, insufflate each into the nose; Radish juice or Lotus root juice, drip into the nose; several lamp wicks, boil in rolling water, remove one by one, place hot on the vertex (Baihui area), replace when cold; Qiao Zhige Xizai suffered illness in the Renzi year, cured by this method; Er qian of Puhuang, first taken mixed with fresh drawn water (not for the elderly); next, grind Mi Nao (Rice Starch/Sediment) finely, mix with hot Mafenji (Horse Manure Juice) to create a paste, sweep into the nose using a goose feather tube to stop bleeding immediately (Horse manure yields juice when hot, none when cold); Chi Shaoyao (Red Peony Root) powder, mixed with cold water and taken orally; Liang liang of Wubeizi (Galla Chinensis) ground into fine powder, mixed with equal parts of Xinmian Hui (Ash of New Cotton), taken with rice water; pieces of Shiliuhua (Pomegranate Flower) stuffed into the nose to stop bleeding immediately.
Place an old sesame oil lamp saucer over the vertex (Baihui), secure it firmly, and bleeding stops shortly.
Formula of Chu Rixin.
A piece of authentic transparent Ejiao (Donkey-Hide Gelatin), size of a small finger, applied to the glabella (Yintang area) stops bleeding immediately.
Renzhongbai (Calculus Humanus), burned to remove foul odor, ground fine, add a little Shexiang (Musk), insufflate into the nose.
Another formula: insert a paper wick soaked in good sesame oil into the nose; sneezing after a short while brings cure. Taoguang said this formula is very strange; his mother's neighbor suffered from severe epistaxis filling a basin one night, all medicines failed, but she was cured using this method.
