[Da Xiao Renshen San (Great Efficacy Ginseng Powder)]
The "Da Xiao Renshen San" (Great Efficacy Ginseng Powder), a miraculous prescription from the Huanyi Warehouse of the Guangdong Jingfu Si, is used to treat Shanlan Zhang Nue (malaria caused by mountainous miasma), regardless of whether the duration is long or short. It treats cases presenting with chills, fever, alternating chills and fever, continuous attacks, every-other-day attacks, or attacks occurring every three to four days.
Herbs: Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) [removed rhizome head], Changshan (Dichroae Radix) [chopped], Qinghao (Artemisiae Annuae Herba) [removed roots and stems], in equal parts.
Preparation and Administration: Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. Take 2.5 qian per dose. If an attack is predicted for the next day, mix one large cup of wine with the powder at noon on the current day, and divide it into three doses: take one dose at first watch (1-3 AM), one at third watch (3-5 AM), and one at fifth watch (5-7 AM).

Herbs: One strip of non-moth-eaten Zaojiao (Gleditsiae Fructus), baked in ash fire until the skin and seeds are removed, then ground into a fine powder. Add Ban Tie (half a portion) of Pingwei San, mix with Mi Cu (rice vinegar), and apply to the swollen and painful area for immediate effect.
If the condition is severe, first heat an iron steelyard weight until red-hot, quench it in rice vinegar, and use the rising steam to fumigate the painful area. After it settles slightly, grind several seeds of Bimaji (Ricini Semen) finely and apply them to the sole of the foot, then apply the medicated paste. The transmitter used this personally and shared it with others, all verifying its efficacy! It was obtained from a person named Yi Namiren at the Zhuangban Cang in Wuhu.

Add one Binglang (Arecae Semen), chopped, to each dose, and decoct according to the same method. After taking the medicine, cover oneself with a blanket; it is ideal if slight sweating occurs between the thighs and legs.
Indication: Severe weakness of the feet and knees. A monk at Jiezhu Temple in Shaoxing Prefecture suffered from illness for years and could not walk; he recovered after taking this medicine. Henglao also transmitted this prescription, naming it "Li Xiao Dan" (Immediate Efficacy Pill): Use Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata), wrap it in flour, bake until cooked, remove the skin and navel, and form pills using the natural juice of Congbai (Allii Fistulosi Bulbus) to the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 50-60 pills per dose, decocted with Congjiu (scallion wine) on an empty stomach, followed by eating a small amount of warm congee or steamed cake to settle the stomach.
Another Fuzi formula: Raw Fuzi (Aconiti Radix), remove skin and navel, grind into powder.
Preparation and Administration: Mix the powder with the slime/mucus from Congbai (scallion white) to form pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Sun-dry or bake until dry. Take 15-20 pills per dose, administered with warm wine or salt water.
