Use "Liu Yi Ni" (Six-One Mud), which is earthworm excrement from under leeks. Another formula also treats lower-extremity ulcers (from *Rui Zhu Tang Fang*)
Mix good powder with oil in a bowl. Burn mugwort (Ai Ye) to produce smoke,熏 (fumigate) until yellow, then apply to the sore. Effective.

Take the mud from the bottom of wine jars; black mud from fields is best, mountain mud should not be used. Heat until red-hot in fire, cool down, remove fire toxicity, and grind extremely fine. Hemp [text missing] ...place another piece over it, with the smooth side of [leaf missing] facing the sore. Secure tightly with cloth. Do not let the medicine touch healthy skin to avoid damage. After application, pain stops immediately, and foul discharge exits. Change every two to three days. One or two applications will promote granulation tissue growth ("pomegranate meat"). If diet is restricted and care is taken, the root cause is eliminated. Some say burning the soil is unnecessary; grinding raw powder is also good. Feng Anshi said Chen Zhongshan praised this method as excellent, having cured several people with it.
