The manifestations of Wind-Strike of the Heart include excessive sweating and aversion to wind, irritability, and a tendency toward anger. The complexion is red. In severe cases, speech is not fluent. Diagnosis is observed at the mouth; the color is red. This indicates that the Heart has been invaded by Wind.

If the lips appear cyan, white, yellow, or black, this indicates that the Heart function has deteriorated. First process the ten ingredients [text implies a list] into powder.
Take after meals. Wash down with Renshen Fuling Tang (Ginseng and Poria Decoction). Twice daily.
Xijiao Wan (Rhinoceros Horn Pill) (from *Shenghui Fang*): Treats Wind-Strike of the Heart. Disordered and erroneous speech. Heat and vexation in head, face, and chest. Occasional stiff tongue and slurred speech. Restlessness and palpitations.
Xijiao (Rhinoceros Horn, 3 fen) Tianma (Gastrodia Rhizome, 3 fen) Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root, 3 fen, radix tip removed) Yuanzhi (Polygala Root, 3 fen, heart removed) Qianghuo (Notopterygium Rhizome, 3 fen) Shashen (Glehnia Root, 3 fen, heart removed and baked) Weirui (Polygonatum Tuber, 3 fen) Xuanshen (Scrophularia Root, 3 fen) Niuhuang (Cow-bezoar, 1 fen, finely ground).
Mix with already ground medicines. Grind uniformly. Use refined honey to form pills. Pound 50,000 times.
Renshen Yin (Ginseng Drink) (from *Shengji Zonglu*): Treats Wind-Evil entering the Pericardium due to fright. Or accompanied by chest and back oppression/pain, fright, and terror. Mild lower abdominal pain. Alternating chills and fever, vexation, and oppression.
Renshen (Ginseng Root) Gancao (Licorice Root, roasted) Duhuo (Angelica Pubescens Root, radix tip removed) Mahuang (Ephedra Stem, boiled, scum removed, dried) Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root, sliced and baked) Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Rhizome) Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) Zhizi (Gardenia Fruit, roasted, umbilicus removed, 1 piece) Zhishi (Immature Bitter Orange, black heart removed, 1 liang) Xingren (Apricot Seed, soaked in water, peeled, twin kernels removed, bran-roasted until slightly yellow).
Boil until reduced to 7/10 volume. Strain and take warm. Three times daily.
Renshen Dansha Wan (Ginseng Cinnabar Pill) (from *Shengji Zonglu*): Treats Wind-Strike of the Heart. Trance and palpitations. Calms the spirit. Transforms phlegm-saliva.

Grind into powder.
Niu Xi Wan (Cow-bezoar and Rhinoceros Horn Pill) (from *Yuyao Yuan Fang*): Mainly treats Heart Deficiency with forgetfulness. Vexation and palpitations. Unfavorable Wind-phlegm. Enhances hearing and vision. Treats various Wind-induced tremors. And treats Thirty-Six Types of Wind.
Sheng Xi (Fresh Rhinoceros Horn, shaved, 1 liang) Tianma (Gastrodia Rhizome, roasted yellow, 0.5 liang) Niuhuang (Cow-bezoar, ground) Baigui (Old Tortoise Shell, roasted in butter, 0.5 liang) Fuling (Poria, peeled) Yuanzhi (Polygala Root, heart removed) Shexiang (Musk, separately ground, 0.5 liang). Grind extremely fine. Form pills with refined honey.
Zhusha Wan (Cinnabar Pill) (from *Shenghui Fang*): Treats Wind-Strike of the Heart. Convulsions of hands and feet. Wild and chaotic spirit. Trance, vexation, and oppression. Slurred speech.
Zhusha (Cinnabar, 1 liang, finely ground and washed with water) Longgu (Fossilized Bones, 1 liang) Xijiao (Rhinoceros Horn, 1 liang) Tianma (Gastrodia Rhizome, 3 fen) Renshen (Ginseng Root, 1 liang, radix tip removed) Qinjiao (Gentiana Macrophylla Root) Fushen (Poria with Hostwood, 1 liang) Huangqin (Scutellaria Root) Yuanzhi (Polygala Root, 0.5 liang, heart removed) Han Fangji (Stephania Tetrandra Root, 3 fen).
Mix with refined honey and pound 300-200 times. Form pills the size of paulownia seeds.
Jingli Tang (Ardisia Sap Decoction) (from *Qianjin Fang*): Treats Heart Deficiency-Cold. Yin-Evil attacking Cold damage. Damaging the Heart causing fright, convulsions, and palpitations. Irregular voice pitch. Turbid speech and dry mouth. Giddiness and tendency to laugh spontaneously.

Fushen San (Poria Powder) (from *Shenghui Fang*): Treats Wind-Strike of the Heart. Giddiness and unconsciousness. Tightness and stiffness in chest and back. Vexation, slurred speech. Low-grade fever. Spontaneous sweating.
Fushen (Poria with Hostwood, 3 fen) Duhuo (Angelica Pubescens Root, 3 fen) Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root, 3 fen, chopped and lightly stir-fried) Guixin (Cinnamon Twig, 3 fen) Huangqin (Scutellaria Root, 3 fen) Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root, 3 fen, radix tip removed) Shashen (Glehnia Root, 3 fen, heart removed and baked until slightly yellow) Tiannanxing (Arisaema Tuber, Bull Gall-bladder type, 0.5 liang).
Grind into powder. Add 0.5 he of Bamboo Sap. Boil for another one boil.
Jinpo Hupo Wan (Gold Leaf Amber Pill) (from *Shengji Zonglu*): Treats Wind-Strike of the Heart. Trance and palpitations. Abnormal speech.
Jinbo (Gold Leaf, 30 pieces, ground) Hupo (Amber, ground) Dansha (Cinnabar, ground) Baifuling (Poria, black skin removed) Zhenzhu (True Pearl, ground) Renshen (Ginseng Root) Xijiao (Rhinoceros Horn, shaved) Chenxiang (Aquilaria Wood, 2 liang, ground in wine, sand removed, boiled).
Mix evenly. Boil Anxi Xiang (Benzoin) paste in wine and mix with honey to form pills the size of paulownia seeds.
Niuhuang Dingzhi Wan (Cow-bezoar Spirit-Calming Pill) (from *Shengji Zonglu*): Treats Wind-Strike of the Heart. Restless spirit. Suppresses fright and calms the Heart. Transforms phlegm and calms the spirit.

Mix evenly. Place in silver or earthenware vessel. Double-boil.
Wuxi San (Black Rhinoceros Horn Powder) (from *Shengji Zonglu*): Treats Wind-Strike of the Heart. Mental oppression and muddiness. Erroneous speech. Trance and frequent fright.
