The disease known as "Ehe" (Malignant Nodule) refers to the sudden appearance of nodules within the muscle tissue, resembling plum or apricot pits in size, with smaller ones being like bean grains. The skin and flesh are painful, accompanied by high fever and severe aversion to cold.
This condition has no fixed location and is mostly characterized by a lingering pain, though sometimes it may be painless. If there is no pain, people will not worry; if they do not worry, treatment will be delayed; delayed treatment leads to death. Therefore, early prevention is essential. One should particularly avoid consuming meats such as fish, chicken, pig, cow, horse, and donkey. Initially, the disease appears like millet grains or like hemp seeds embedded firmly in the flesh, growing very rapidly. Early stages often involve aversion to cold, followed shortly by shortness of breath. Take 5 he of Evodiae Fructus (Wuzhuyu, 吴茱萸), grind it into powder, mix with 1 sheng of water, extract the juice, and take it all at once. Apply the dregs to the affected area. Taking this juice helps dissipate the toxicity and prevents it from spreading; thus, it does not enter the abdomen. If it enters the abdomen, disaster ensues. Be extremely cautious.
