牙齿不生长的原因，是由于风疳、齿龋等各种疾病，导致牙齿脱落，久而久之便不再生长。肾主司骨骼，牙齿是骨骼的终末表现，也是骨髓的外露部分。
露蜂房散
治疗牙齿不生长，以及风邪引起的牙痛。
露蜂房、荆芥、川椒、地骨皮、松节、青盐、白矾灰（各一两）。将上述药材研成散剂。每次使用半钱，用绵布包裹药粉，含漱于口中。
细辛汤
治疗牙齿不生长，以及风邪引起的连及面部的疼痛。
细辛、白芷、芎藭、露蜂房（各一两）。将上述药材研成散剂，用水一碗，煎煮十余次沸腾后，滤去药渣。趁热含在口中，待冷却后吐出。
治疗牙齿不生长的方子。
雌乌鸡屎、雄乌鸡粪、旧鞋底（麻底尤其好），以上药材等分。烧成灰但保留药性，研成细末，加入麝香一同研匀。敷于患处。

Dosage: Each ingredient one liang. Preparation: Grind into a powder. Usage: Take half qian each time, wrap in cotton wool, and hold in the mouth for rinsing.
Xixin Tang (Asarum Decoction)
Indicated for teeth failing to grow, and pain extending to the face caused by wind affecting the teeth.
Ingredients: Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, 细辛), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, 白芷), Xiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 芎), Lufeng Fang (Coliae Nidus, 露蜂房). Dosage: Each ingredient one liang. Preparation: Grind into a powder. Usage: Add one bowl of water, boil more than ten times until boiling, remove dregs. Hold the hot liquid in the mouth, spit out when cool.

Take four jin (approx. 2.4 kg) of Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix, 地黄) harvested in the eighth month, wash away dirt, squeeze to obtain two sheng (approx. 0.8 L) of juice. Mix the powder into the juice.
