The disease of "Pao Zhuan" (Bladder Displacement/Torsion) in women is caused by heat forcing within the bladder. Or, holding urine too long, both conditions cause water qi to press back upon the bladder, causing it to curl and close, unable to fill and expand. External urine should enter but is blocked.
Luan Fa San (Hair Ash Powder) (from *Sheng Hui Fang*), treats women who hold urine too long and cannot urinate when needed, leading to Pao Zhuan. After four or five days, the condition becomes critical and life-threatening; this formula is suitable for use.
Luan Fa (Human Hair, 1 jin, burnt to ash) Hua Shi (Talcum, 3 liang) Li Yu Chi (Carp Teeth, 1 liang). The above are ground into a fine powder. Take at any time, mixing with warm water and taking 2 qian.
