白芷、附子、防风、川芎、莽草、辛夷、细辛、黄芩、当归、蜀椒（各一两）、大黄（一两半）。用微火煎煮，等到白芷颜色变黄，膏成就成。先洗头，然后用膏敷涂，像平常使用润发油的方法一样。不要靠近面部，否则脸上会长毛。
蔓荆子膏（出自《圣惠方》）：治疗血虚引起的头风，胡须和头发脱落不再生长。

Nanzhu Cao Jian Wan (Southern Candlestick Herb Decoction Pills) (From *Shenghui Fang*): Treats exhaustion of qi and blood, leading to baldness and failure of beard and hair to regrow. Even if they grow, they are yellow and not black. Suitable for consumption.
