风气致病，其表现有寒证与热证之分。寒邪致风气则出现四肢厥冷、逆乱；热邪致风气则导致心中烦闷郁结。肺为生气之源，是五脏的华盖（覆盖于五脏之上的脏器），主管通行阳气。
枇杷饮（又名枇杷煮散，出自《广南四时摄生论》）
治疗三焦风热壅滞，五脏虚弱，周身因风气劳损而感闷乱，手脚受风毒之气侵袭，伴有寒热交替、烦躁不安。此方能通利心肺，健脾和胃，益肾固本，补正元气，止呕逆并增进食欲。
药材：枇杷叶（炙烤去毛）、木香、木通（锉碎）、大腹皮（锉碎）、诃黎勒皮（以上各二两）、桔梗（锉碎炒制）、五味子、陈皮、当归（锉碎）。
用法：将上述药材粗捣筛过，每次取五钱匕，食前煎服。
乌蛇散（出自《圣济总录》）
治疗各种风气病症。
药材：乌梢蛇（酒浸，去皮骨，炙干三两）、肉豆蔻（五枚，去皮）、白茯苓（去黑皮）、槟榔、人参、当归（切后焙干）、川芎（去根节）、全蝎（去土）、朱砂（研细一分）、麝香。
用法：研为细末，用酒调服。主治重症风气。
八宝回春汤（出自《危氏方》）
治疗各种虚损不足，风疾与血气相互攻冲阻滞，导致脉络不通，肢体拘急痉挛，气息不顺，痰涎壅盛，脾胃不和，饮食不进。此药能祛风和血通脉，疗效显著。凡治风病，不可一味猛攻，否则病情会加重。服用此药，轻者一月，重者两三个月，自然痊愈，且不再复发。只要血气和顺，卫气调和，风证不攻自退。
药材：附子（炮制）、人参、麻黄（去节）、黄芩、防己、香附子（去毛）、杏仁（去皮）、川芎、当归、陈皮、香薷、川乌（炮制，各半两）、半夏（一两半）、白术（一两）、天台乌药（半两）、黄芪（三两）、甘草（一两）。
用法：水煎服。此方由王翰林进献，奉旨颁行。谢子充年轻时患风疾，服此方痊愈。
大通散（出自《圣济总录》）
治疗风气冷热不调，四肢厥冷，心神烦闷。
药材：白花蛇（酒浸，去皮骨，炙干）、天麻、赤箭（即独活）、防风（去叉）、藁本（去苗土）、厚朴（去粗皮，生姜汁炙干）、当归（切后焙干）、李仁。
用法：研为细末，分三次服用。
加味顺气散
治疗风气。
药材：天南星、枳壳、防风、川芎、僵蚕、全蝎、木香（少许）、白术、白茯苓（去皮）、当归、青皮。
用法：等分，研为细末，姜汤调服。
香枳丸（出自《圣济总录》）
治疗风气，疏通胸膈，以及心腹部各种疾病。
药材：木香、枳壳（去瓤麸炒）、羌活（去芦头）、干姜（炮制）、桂枝（去粗皮）、人参、陈皮（汤浸去白）。
用法：切碎焙干，各半两，加入粉半斤，另入粉半两，混合研匀，炼蜜为丸。可用酒送服，也可根据虚实情况临时调整。
灵宝丸（出自《王氏博济方》）
治疗风气发作。阴盛则四肢厥冷，阳盛则心中烦闷。
药材：天麻、乌梢蛇（酒浸，去皮骨，炙干）、天南星（各二两）、附子（炮裂，去皮脐）、白附子、川芎、白僵蚕、防风（去叉，一两）。
用法：以朱砂末为衣，制成丸剂。
防风丸（出自《圣济总录》）
治疗风气引起的肢节疼痛，四肢无力，头痛烦闷。
药材：防风（去叉）、桔梗（锉碎炒制）、朱砂（研细，各二两）、天麻、细辛（去苗叶）、独活（去芦头）、秦艽（炙碎）、茯苓。
用法：煎汤嚼服或吞服。
羌活散（又名羌活丸，出自《御药院方》）
治疗风气不调，头目昏眩，痰涎壅滞，周身拘急，以及风邪寒湿壅盛，头痛项强，鼻塞声重，肢节烦痛，阴雨风雨天前自觉不适。
药材：前胡（去芦）、羌活（去芦）、麻黄（去根节）、白茯苓（去皮）、川芎、黄芩、甘草、蔓荆子（去芦，各一两）。
用法：粗捣筛过，煎服。
槟榔丸（又名木香丸，出自《圣济总录》）
治疗风气，调和营卫，疏通胸膈，清利头目，化痰涎，明目聪耳，消除积滞。
药材：槟榔（锉碎）、大黄（锉碎炙干，各三两）、陈皮（汤浸去白焙干）、木香、附子（炮裂去皮脐）、人参、川芎、羌活（去芦头）、独活（去芦头）、桂枝（去粗皮，各半两）、京三棱（煨，半两）、肉豆蔻、梧桐子大。
用法：每服适量，温酒送下。
木香丸（出自《圣济总录》）
治疗风气。
药材：木香、枳壳（去瓤麸炒）、槟榔（锉碎，各一两半）、芍药、防风（去叉）、黄芪（锉碎）、牛膝（酒浸切）、川乌（炮裂去皮脐）。
用法：每日两次服用。
槐胶丸（出自《圣济总录》）
治疗风气引起的肢节疼痛，周身瘙痒麻木，头目昏痛，咽喉胸膈烦满。
药材：槐胶（二两）、天麻、牛膝（酒浸切焙，各一两）、蔓荆实（半两）、何首乌（去黑皮，一两）、甘草、菊花（各三分）。
用法：研为细末，炼蜜为丸。
紫苏木通汤（出自《圣济总录》）
治疗体质虚弱感受风邪，因气机鼓动而发病，名为风气。寒则四肢厥冷，热则心中烦闷。
药材：紫苏茎（锉碎焙干）、木通（锉碎焙干）、桑根白皮（锉碎焙干）、青橘皮（汤去白焙干，各一两）、荆芥穗（焙干）、独活、枳壳（去瓤麸炒，二两）。
用法：同煎至熟，去滓温服。
黄耆丸（出自《圣济总录》）
治疗风气伴有热象，心中烦闷，头面生疮。
药材：黄耆（锉碎）、防风（去叉）、地骨皮、枳实（去瓤麸炒，各一两）、羌活（去芦头）、苦参、当归（切焙）。
用法：每服适量，温水送下。

治疗风气凝滞，身体疼痛拘急，腰脚沉重。
药材：仙茅（米泔水浸去赤汁焙干）、威灵仙（去土）、羌活（去芦头）、青橘皮（汤浸皮白焙干）、白牵牛（炒）。
用法：研为细末，炼蜜为丸。
八风散（出自《医方大成》）
治疗风气上攻，头目昏眩，肢体拘急烦痛，或皮肤风疮痒痛，以及治疗寒湿壅盛重症。
药材：藿香（去土，半斤）、白芷、前胡（去芦，各一斤）、黄耆（去芦）、甘草、人参（去芦，各二斤）、羌活。
用法：研为细末，每次服用七分，逐渐减量。
防风半夏丸（出自《圣济总录》）
治疗风气引起的身体疼痛，胸膈烦满，化痰涎，利头目。
药材：防风（去叉，三两）、半夏（汤洗七次切焙，一两半）、天麻（二两）、川芎（半两）、白芷（一两）、独活。
用法：研为细末，炼蜜为丸，如梧桐子大。
槐实丸（出自《圣济总录》）
治疗风气引起的头目昏眩，化痰涎，利胸膈。
药材：槐实（四两，选肥干者拣净，走水洗过晾干，慢火麸炒至微焦似黑色）、川芎（一两）、皂荚（六两，黑皮涂酥微焦黑，别捣碎）。
用法：研为细末，炼蜜为丸。
小乳香丸（出自《圣济总录》）
治疗风气凝滞，胸膈不快，身体刺痛。
药材：乳香（研细）、没药（研细，各五钱）、五灵脂（二两半）、槟榔（煨锉，半两）、肉豆蔻（三枚，去皮）、半夏。
用法：研为细末，和匀，天麻煎汤送服。
天麻煎（又名沉香天麻煎丸）
治疗风气不顺，骨痛，或生瘾疹，不治则寒气伤脾，导致筋骨缓弱。
药材：天麻、干蝎（炒）、羌活（去芦头）、防风（去叉，各二分）、五灵脂、附子（炮制）、白术、赤小豆。
用法：研为细末，炼蜜为丸，如梧桐子大。每服二十丸，空腹，用荆芥汤或荆芥茶酒送下。五日后可加至三十丸。秋夏宜用荆芥汤，春冬宜用荆芥酒。春末夏初，喜生红根白头疮，服此药效果极佳。忌食一切毒物。
搜风大元宝饮（出自《澹寮方》）
治疗挟气中风，痰虽已去，当先服此药顺气，并开通关窍，防止枯废。若非重热气实者，亦可服用。
药材：天雄（气弱者以代附子）、沉香、防风（去芦）、南星（炮制）、薄荷叶、地龙（去土）、木香。
用法：研为细末，姜汤调服。若昏厥不能言语，体复旧状，可谓真神效也。又壬戌年间，曾在连州，遇蹇新恩季沉患伤寒病，医者过用竹叶石膏汤，遂致邪气伏留，且……汤。熟粒，自……军士，鼻，遂……诸证复……才越……凡……因……皆似……或炮……以权便。

用法：大。每于食前，以温酒下三十丸。欲得快利，加至四十丸。此药稍温必不虚。入夜临卧时服亦得。
顺气丸（出自《保生方》）
治疗风湿毒瓦斯攻疰腿膝，或肿或疼，降风消食。
药材：木香、青皮（去白）、槟榔（各一两）、郁李仁（汤浸去皮研，半两）、黑牵牛（炒取头末，三两半）。
用法：仁末同研匀得。
杜翰林枳实丸（出自《御药院方》）
疏导老人及虚家风气痰实，腹肋有防，诸饮癖积。
药材：枳实（麸炒）、人参、赤茯苓、槟榔（各一两）、白术（半两）、黑牵牛（八两，别一方加木香半两）。
用法：至二十。

The manifestations of wind pathogen vary between cold and heat patterns. Cold wind leads to cold limbs and reversal (Jue Ni), while hot wind causes mental restlessness and depression (Fan Wen). The Lung is the source of vital Qi and serves as the canopy (Hua Gai) covering the five Zang organs, governing the circulation of Yang Qi.
Pipa Yin (Loquat Decoction, also known as Pipa Zhusan from *Guangnan Sishi Shengsheng Lun*)
Treats San Jiao (Triple Burner) wind-heat congestion, deficiency of the five Zang organs, general body fatigue and oppression due to wind pathogen, wind-toxic qi in the hands and feet, alternating chills and fever, and irritability. This formula unblocks the Heart and Lungs, strengthens the Spleen and Stomach, benefits the Kidneys, corrects Yuan Qi (Original Qi), stops nausea, and promotes appetite.
Ingredients: Loquat Leaf (Zhi, de-haired), Costus Root (Muxiang), Akebia Caulis (Mutong, crushed), Areca Peel (Dafupi, crushed), Chebula Fruit Peel (Helile Pi, each 2 liang), Platycodon Root (Jiegeng, crushed and stir-fried), Schisandra Berry (Wuweizi), Tangerine Peel (Chenpi), Angelica Sinensis (Danggui, crushed).

Ingredients: Black Snake (Wushe, soaked in wine, skin and bones removed, roasted, 3 liang), Nutmeg (Roudoukou, 5 pieces, peeled), Poria (Baifuling, black skin removed), Areca Nut (Binglang), Ginseng (Renshen), Angelica Sinensis (Danggui, sliced and dried), Ligusticum Chuanxiong (Xiongqu, roots and nodes removed), Full-body Scorpion (Quanxie, soil removed), Cinnabar (Zhusha, ground, 1 fen), Musk (Shexiang).
Usage: Grind into fine powder, mix with wine for administration. Treats severe wind conditions.
Babao Huichun Tang (Eight-Treasure Revitalizing Decoction, from *Wei Shi Fang*)
Treats various deficiencies and insufficiencies, wind diseases where wind and blood/qi attack and stagnate each other, causing meridian obstruction, limb spasms and convulsions, irregular breathing, excessive phlegm-saliva, Spleen-Stomach disharmony, and loss of appetite. This medicine dispels wind, harmonizes blood and meridians, and has miraculous effects. In treating wind diseases, one must not use aggressive attacking methods exclusively, as this exacerbates the condition. Taking this medicine, mild cases resolve in one month, severe cases in two to three months, naturally healing without recurrence. When blood and qi are harmonious and Wei Qi (Defensive Qi) is smooth, wind syndromes disappear spontaneously without direct attack.
Ingredients: Prepared Aconite Root (Fuzi, processed), Ginseng (Renshen), Ephedra Herb (Mahuang, nodes removed), Scutellaria Root (Huangqin), Stephania Root (Fangji), Cyperus Rhizome (Xiangfu, hairs removed), Apricot Seed (Xingren, skin removed), Ligusticum Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong), Angelica Sinensis (Danggui), Dried Tangerine Peel (Chenpi), Elsholtzia Herb (Xiangru), Prepared Sichuan Aconite Root (Chuanwu, processed, each half liang), Pinellia Tuber (Banxia, 1.5 liang), Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Baizhu, 1 liang), Tiantai Aristolochia Root (Tiantai Wuyao, half liang), Astragalus Root (Huangqi, 3 liang), Licorice Root (Gancao, 1 liang).
Usage: Decoct and take. This formula was presented by Imperial Physician Wang Hanlin and promulgated by imperial decree. Xie Zichong cured his wind disease with this formula when he was young.
Datong San (Great Unblocking Powder, from *Shengji Zonglu*)
Treats wind pathogen with mixed cold and heat, cold limbs, and mental restlessness.
Ingredients: White Flower Snake (Baihuashe, soaked in wine, skin and bones removed, roasted), Gastrodia Rhizome (Tianma), Red Arrow (Chijian, i.e., Du Huo), Saposhnikovia Root (Fangfeng, pruned), Ligusticum Wallichii Rhizome (Gaoben, seedlings and soil removed), Magnolia Bark (Houpo, coarse bark removed, roasted with ginger juice), Angelica Sinensis (Danggui, sliced and dried), Plum Kernel (Liren).
Usage: Grind into powder, take in three doses daily.
Jiawei Shunqi San (Modified Smooth-Qi Powder)
Treats wind pathogen.
Ingredients: Arisaema Rhizome (Nanxing), Aurantium Fructus (Zhike), Saposhnikovia Root (Fangfeng), Ligusticum Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong), Silkworm (Jiangcan), Full-body Scorpion (Quanxie), Costus Root (Muxiang, small amount), Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Baizhu), Poria (Baifuling, peeled), Angelica Sinensis (Danggui), Green Citrus Peel (Qingpi).
Usage: Equal parts, grind into powder, take with Ginger Decoction.
Xiangzhi Wan (Costus and Aurantium Pill, from *Shengji Zonglu*)
Treats wind pathogen, unblocks the chest and diaphragm, and treats various heart and abdominal diseases.
Ingredients: Costus Root (Muxiang), Aurantium Fructus (Zhike, pulp removed, stir-fried with bran), Notopterygium Rhizome (Qianghuo, rhizome removed), Dried Ginger (Ganjiang, processed), Cinnamon Twig (Guizhi, coarse bark removed), Ginseng (Renshen), Dried Tangerine Peel (Chenpi, soaked in water, white pith removed).
Usage: Cut, dry, and roast. Each ingredient half a liang, add half a jin of starch, separately add half a liang of starch, mix and grind evenly, form pills with refined honey. Can be taken with wine or adjusted according to deficiency/excess.
Lingbao Wan (Spirit Treasure Pill, from *Wang Shi Boji Fang*)
Treats wind pathogen attacks. Yin excess leads to cold limbs; Yang excess leads to mental restlessness.
Ingredients: Gastrodia Rhizome (Tianma), Black Snake (Wushe, soaked in wine, skin and bones removed, roasted), Arisaema Rhizome (Tian Nanxing, each 2 liang), Prepared Aconite Root (Fuzi, processed, cracked, skin and navel removed), White Arisaema (Baifuzi), Ligusticum Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong), White Silkworm (Bai Jiangcan), Saposhnikovia Root (Fangfeng, pruned, 1 liang).
Usage: Coat with Cinnabar powder to make pills.

Qianghuo San (Notopterygium Powder, also known as Qianghuo Wan, from *Yuyao Yuan Fang*)
Treats wind pathogen imbalance causing dizziness, excessive phlegm-saliva, general body stiffness, wind-cold congestion causing headache and stiff neck, nasal congestion, heavy voice, joint pain, and discomfort before rainy weather.
Ingredients: Peucedanum Root (Qianhu, rhizome removed), Notopterygium Rhizome (Qianghuo, rhizome removed), Ephedra Herb (Mahuang, roots and nodes removed), Poria (Baifuling, peeled), Ligusticum Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong), Scutellaria Root (Huangqin), Licorice Root (Gancao), Vitex Fruit (Manjingzi, rhizome removed, each 1 liang).

Treats wind pathogen, harmonizes Ying and Wei (Nutritive and Defensive) levels, unblocks the chest and diaphragm, clears the head and eyes, transforms phlegm-saliva, improves hearing and vision, and eliminates stagnation.
Ingredients: Areca Nut (Binglang, crushed), Rhubarb (Dahuang, crushed and roasted, each 3 liang), Dried Tangerine Peel (Chenpi, soaked in water, white pith removed, dried), Costus Root (Muxiang), Prepared Aconite Root (Fuzi, processed, cracked, skin and navel removed), Ginseng (Renshen), Ligusticum Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong), Notopterygium Rhizome (Qianghuo, rhizome removed), Achyranthes Bidentata Root (Duhuo, rhizome removed), Cinnamon Twig (Guizhi, coarse bark removed, each half liang), Curcuma Longa Rhizome (Jingsanleng, baked, half liang), Nutmeg (Roudoukou), Phoenix Tree Seed (Wutongzi).

Treats wind pathogen causing joint pain, general itching and numbness, head and eye pain, and throat/chest fullness.

Zisu Mutong Tang (Perilla and Akebia Decoction, from *Shengji Zonglu*)

Ingredients: Perilla Stem (Zisu Jing, crushed and dried), Akebia Caulis (Mutong, crushed and dried), Mulberry Root Bark (Sanggen Baipi, crushed and dried), Green Citrus Peel (Qingjupi, soaked in water, white pith removed, dried, each 1 liang), Schizonepeta Spike (Jingjie Sui, dried), Achyranthes Bidentata Root (Duhuo), Aurantium Fructus (Zhike, pulp removed, stir-fried with bran, 2 liang).
Usage: Decoct together until cooked, strain and take warm.
Huangqi Wan (Astragalus Pill, from *Shengji Zonglu*)
Treats wind pathogen with heat signs, mental restlessness, and sores on the head and face.
Ingredients: Astragalus Root (Huangqi, crushed), Saposhnikovia Root (Fangfeng, pruned), Cortex Lycii (Digupi), Aurantium Fructus (Zhishi, pulp removed, stir-fried with bran, each 1 liang), Notopterygium Rhizome (Qianghuo, rhizome removed), Sophora Root (Kushen), Angelica Sinensis (Danggui, sliced and dried).
Usage: Take appropriate amount, wash down with warm water.
Xianmao Wan (Curculigo Pill, from *Shengji Zonglu*)

Ingredients: Sophora Fruit (Huaisi, 4 liang, select plump and dry ones, clean, wash with running water, dry, slow-fire roast with bran until slightly black), Ligusticum Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong, 1 liang), Soap Pod (Zaojia, 6 liang, black skin coated with lard, slightly roasted black, separately pounded).

Xiao Ruxiang Wan (Minor Frankincense Pill, from *Shengji Zonglu*)
Treats wind pathogen stagnation causing chest discomfort and stabbing body pain.
Ingredients: Frankincense (Ruxiang, ground), Myrrh (Moyao, ground, each 5 qian), Trogopterus Dung (Wulingzhi, 2.5 liang), Areca Nut (Binglang, baked and crushed, half liang), Nutmeg (Roudoukou, 3 pieces, peeled), Pinellia Tuber (Banxia).
Usage: Grind into powder, mix evenly, take with Gastrodia decoction.
Tianma Jian (Gastrodia Decoction, also known as Chenxiang Tianma Jian Wan)
Treats irregular wind pathogen, bone pain, or urticaria. If untreated, it damages the spleen with cold, leading to weak sinews and bones.
Ingredients: Gastrodia Rhizome (Tianma), Dried Scorpion (Ganxie, fried), Notopterygium Rhizome (Qianghuo, rhizome removed), Saposhnikovia Root (Fangfeng, pruned, each 2 fen), Trogopterus Dung (Wulingzhi), Prepared Aconite Root (Fuzi, processed), Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Baizhu), Adzuki Bean (Chixiaodou).
Usage: Grind into powder, form pills with refined honey, size of Sophora seeds. Take 20 pills empty stomach, washed down with Schizonepeta Decoction or Schizonepeta Tea/Wine. After five days, increase to 30 pills. Autumn/Summer use Schizonepeta Decoction; Spring/Winter use Schizonepeta Wine. Late Spring/Early Summer, if prone to red-rooted white-headed sores, this medicine is excellent. Avoid all toxic foods.
Soufeng Dayuanbao Yin (Wind-Searching Great Treasure Drink, from *Danliao Fang*)
Treats stroke complicated by Qi stagnation. Even if phlegm is cleared, first take this to smooth Qi and open orifices to prevent atrophy. Suitable even for those without severe heat or excess.
