所谓风狂的症状，刚开始发作时，患者睡眠少且不觉得饥饿，自视甚高，自认为贤能，自我辩解，自认尊贵。这是因为人的营气（营养之气）和卫气（防御之气），在周身循环，昼夜不停。
一、风邪趁虚而入，与阳相并则称为“重阳”。因此病症表现为无故发笑、喜好娱乐、行为妄动不止。严重时甚至脱衣奔跑，登上高处歌唱，或者几天不进食，所以称之为“狂”。风邪侵入血分，导致人体阴阳二气虚实不调。如果一实一虚，就会使血气相互搏结。气偏并于阳分则发为狂证。另外，肝藏魂。悲哀触动内心则损伤魂，魂受损则狂妄而不精明，不敢正视他人，且出现筋脉拘挛、两胁骨骼不能抬举。毛发憔悴、面色枯槁，死于秋季。又说：三阳经与三阴经相并，若阳虚则阴实，故发为癫证；三阴经与三阳经相并，若阴虚则阳实，故发为狂证。论述说：阳气入于阴分，病势安静；阴气入于阳分，病势愤怒则发狂。这多是由于阴阳之气突然受挫，郁怒无法发泄所致。所以医经说：阳明经常跳动，太阳经、少阳经通常不跳动。不跳动的经脉反而跳动，是大病的征兆。这是其征候。治疗的关键方法是什么？回答说：剥夺其饮食即可痊愈。因为食物进入阴分，会助长阳气的亢盛。所以剥夺其饮食即可痊愈。让患者服用生铁落作为饭后药。生铁落具有下气疾速的作用。

Regarding the symptoms of Wind Madness (Feng Kuang), initially, the patient sleeps little and feels no hunger, considers themselves superior, believes themselves to be virtuous, argues for themselves, and claims high status. This is because the Ying Qi (Nutritive Qi) and Wei Qi (Defensive Qi) circulate throughout the body without ceasing, day and night.
I. When Wind Evil (Feng Xie) enters due to deficiency and combines with Yang, it is called "Double Yang" (Chong Yang). Therefore, the disease manifests as delirious laughter, excessive joy, and ceaseless erratic behavior. In severe cases, the patient may strip naked and run, climb to heights and sing, or go without food for several days; thus, it is called "Kuang" (Mania). When Wind Evil enters the blood level, it causes an imbalance of deficiency and excess in the Yin and Yang Qi. If one is excess and the other deficiency, Blood and Qi will contend with each other. When Qi aggregates in the Yang aspect, Mania ensues. Furthermore, the Liver stores the Hun (Ethereal Soul). Sorrow moving within damages the Hun; when the Hun is damaged, madness and lack of clarity occur, the patient dares not look directly at others, experiences tendon spasms, and cannot raise the bones of the two hypochondria. Withered hair and sallow complexion indicate death in Autumn. It is also said: When the Three Yang meridians combine with the Three Yin meridians, if Yang is deficient and Yin is excess, Dian (Depression/Melancholia) occurs. When the Three Yin meridians combine with the Three Yang meridians, if Yin is deficient and Yang is excess, Kuang (Mania) occurs. The treatise states: When Yang enters Yin, the disease is quiet; when Yin enters Yang, the disease involves anger and leads to Mania. This is often caused by a sudden fracture of Yin and Yang Qi and unresolved suppressed anger. Thus, the Classics state: The Yangming channel is always pulsating, while the Taiyang and Shaoyang channels usually do not pulse. If a non-pulsating channel begins to pulse, it indicates a major illness. This is its sign. What is the key method of treatment? The answer is: Depriving them of food will cure it. Because food enters the Yin and generates Qi in the Yang, depriving them of food cures it. Let the patient take Sheng Tie Luo (Fallen Iron) as a post-meal remedy. Sheng Tie Luo has the effect of rapidly descending Qi.
