The *Neijing* (Inner Canon) states: When clear yang qi descends to the lower part, it generates Sundry Diarrhea (Sun Xie, diarrhea with undigested food). It also states: Long-standing wind pathogen leads to Sundry Diarrhea. The Spleen and Stomach belong to Earth; their qi is balanced and harmonious, functioning through transformation and transportation. Currently, due to the intermingling of clear and turbid qi, the Wind pathogen invades the Stomach, causing the harmonious qi to fail in transformation, resulting in food being excreted without digestion. "Sun" refers to the evening meal, as difficult-to-digest foods are often consumed at night; thus, when food is not digested and is discharged, it is called Sundry Diarrhea. This is what the common people call "Water-Grain Dysentery." The Spleen and Stomach coordinate with each other to distinguish between water and grain. Although the Spleen qi may be strong, if the Stomach qi is insufficient, after food is swallowed, Sundry Diarrhea occurs in the large intestine. The treatment method involves using Er Shen Wan (Two Spirit Pill), composed of Pogu Zhi (Buddha's Lotus Seed/Bonebreaker, *Psoraleae Fructus*) and Rou Dou Kou (Nutmeg, *Myristicae Semen*), prepared through processing and compounding; or alternatively, using Bu Huan Jin Zheng Qi San (Golden Exchange Qi-Regulating Powder) taken together with An Shen Wan (Peace the Kidney Pill). Generally, when the qi of the Spleen and Stomach communicates smoothly, water and grain are naturally transformed and digested. This is referred to as "subtle integration and condensation."
