《百选》桃仁膏 治气血凝滞，疝气，膀胱小肠气，痛不可忍。
桃仁（炒，去皮尖） 大茴香（炒）
上等分为末。每服二钱，葱白二寸煨熟，蘸药细嚼，空心热酒下。
《局方》守效丸 治 疝不痛者之要药。
苍术 南星 白芷 川芎 山楂 半夏 枳实（一云橘核）
上等分为末，姜汁糊丸，桐子大。每服七、八十丸，盐汤下。有寒，加茱萸；有热，加
山栀子；又或加青皮、荔枝核。
来复丹 治伏暑泄泻，里寒外热，其效如神，及治诸腹痛疝气，小儿惊风。
硝石（一两，同硫黄为末，入瓷盘内，用微火炒，以柳枝搅结砂子，火不可大，恐伤药力
；再研极细，名二气末） 舶上硫黄（一两） 五灵脂（澄去砂） 橘红 青皮（各二两，一作各二钱）
太阴玄精石（一两）
上为末，醋糊丸，豌豆大。每服三十丸，空心米饮下。伏暑闷乱，紫苏汤下。大人疝气
诸痛，悉宜服之。小儿惊风欲绝，研碎，米汤下。
《卫生》润肠汤 治大便燥结不通。
生地黄 生甘草 熟地黄 当归尾 大黄（煨，各五钱） 桃仁 麻子仁（各一钱） 红花（五分）
上用水二盏，煎一盏，空心服。
通幽汤 治大便燥结坚黑，腹痛。
熟地 生地 归梢 红花 桃仁泥 大黄（各一钱） 升麻（二分）
水一钟半，煎服。古方加麻仁、甘草，即名润燥汤。
（东垣）导滞通幽汤 治幽门不通，气不升降，大便闭塞。凡脾胃初受热中，多有此证，
治在幽门，以辛润之。
升麻梢 桃仁泥 归身（各一钱） 炙甘草 红花（各三分） 熟地 生地（各五分）
水二钟，煎一钟，调槟榔末五分，稍热服。
（河间）浓朴汤 治大便气秘不通，不能饮食，小便清利者，谓之虚秘，此汤主之。盖实
秘者物也，虚秘者气也。
浓朴（一钱半） 白术（二钱） 半夏 枳壳 陈皮 甘草（各一钱）
水一钟半，姜三片，枣三枚，煎八分，食远服。如不通，加大黄一钱。
《会编》皂角散 治大小便关格不通，经三、五日者。
大皂角（烧存性）
上为末。米汤调下。又以猪脂一两煮熟，以汁及脂俱食之。又宜以八正散加槟榔、枳壳
、朴硝、桃仁、灯心、茶叶煎服。
《良方》三仁丸 治大肠有热，津液竭燥，大便涩。
柏子仁 松子仁 火麻仁（各一两）
上研匀，用黄蜡半两溶化和丸，桐子大。每服二十丸，食前米饮下；未快，加数服之。
脾约丸 方在攻阵。通大便秘结。
（东垣）润肠丸 治胃中伏火，大便秘涩不通，不思饮食，或风结血秘，皆须润燥和血疏
风，则自通矣。
归梢 大黄（煨） 羌活（各五钱） 麻仁 桃仁（去皮尖，各一两）
上以二仁另研为泥，外为细末，炼蜜为丸，桐子大。每服三、五十丸，空心白汤送下。
一方有皂角仁、秦艽各五钱。
《济生》苁蓉润肠丸 治发汗利小便，致亡津液，大腑秘结，老人虚人宜服。
肉苁蓉（酒浸，焙，二两） 沉香（一两，另研）
上为末，取麻子仁捣烂，和水取汁打糊丸，桐子大。每服七、八十丸，空心米饮或酒送下。
益血润肠丸 治老人大便燥结。
熟地黄（六两） 杏仁（炒，去皮尖） 麻仁（各三两，以上三味同杵膏） 枳壳（麸炒） 橘红（各
二两） 肉苁蓉（酒洗去甲） 阿胶（炒，各一两） 苏子 荆芥（各一两） 当归（三两）
上以后七味为末，同前三味膏和杵千余下，仍加炼蜜丸，桐子大。每服五、六十丸，空
心白汤或酒下。
搜风顺气丸 治痔漏风热闭结，老人燥秘等证。
车前子（两半） 大麻子（微炒，二钱） 大黄 （五钱，半生半熟） 牛膝（酒浸） 郁李仁 菟丝子
（酒浸） 枳壳 山药（各二钱）
上为末，炼蜜丸，桐子大。每服三十丸，温酒下。
《圣惠》搜风顺气丸 治风气香港脚，凡老人小儿血热风热而大便秘结者宜服。
车前子（两半） 大麻仁（微炒，去壳） 郁李仁（炮，去皮） 菟丝子（酒浸煮） 牛膝（酒浸
一宿） 干山药（各一两） 白槟榔（一两） 枳壳（麸炒） 防风 独活（各八钱） 大黄（五钱，半生半熟）
炼蜜丸，小豆大。茶酒汤任下，早晚各一服。
地髓汤 治死血作淋，痛不可忍，及五淋小便不通，茎中痛甚欲死。一名牛膝膏，又名苦杖散。
牛膝（不拘多少）
或用一两捶碎。以水二钟，煎浓汁一钟，去渣，日三服。又法入麝香少许，空心服。或
单以酒煎亦可。
牛膝膏 治死血作淋。

空心，以人参汤调服琥珀末一钱。
导赤散 方在寒阵。利小肠热涩。
万全木通汤 治小便难而黄。
木通 赤茯苓 车前叶 滑石（各二钱） 瞿麦（一钱）
水一钟半，煎七分，食前服。
葱白汤 治小便卒暴不通，小腹胀急，气上冲心，闷绝欲死。此由暴气乘膀胱，或因惊
忧气无所伸，冲逆胞系，郁闭不流。
陈皮（三两） 葵子（一两） 葱白（三茎）
上 咀。用水五升，煮取二升，分三服。一云每服五钱，葱白三茎，水煎服。
（东垣）清肺饮子 治渴而小便不利，邪热在上焦气分也。
茯苓 猪苓 泽泻（各一钱半） 车前子 琥珀 木通 瞿麦 蓄（各一钱） 通草

水二钟，煎一钟，食远服。
半夏丸 治湿痰流注、白浊，神效。
半夏（制） 猪苓（等分）
上为末，神曲糊丸服。按∶此方与《本事》猪苓丸同意，详固阵。
《良方》醍醐膏 治消渴。
白砂蜜（五斤） 砂仁（为末，半两） 乌梅（一斤，捶碎。用水四大碗，煎一碗，去渣）
上入砂锅，慢火熬赤色成膏，取下放冷，加白檀细末三钱，麝香一字，搅匀，以瓷器收
贮密封。冬月沸汤调服，夏月凉水亦可。
无择养荣汤 治五疸虚弱，脚软心悸，口淡耳鸣，微发寒热，气急，小便白浊，当作虚劳治之。
人参 黄 白术 当归 甘草（炙） 桂心 陈皮（各一两） 白芍药（三两） 生地黄 茯苓
（各五钱） 五味子 远志（各三钱）
上咀。每服一两，水一钟半，姜三片，枣三枚，煎七分，食前服。
《纲目》绿矾丸 治黄胖。
绿矾（六两，以米醋于铁杓内炒七次，干为度，放地上出火气） 南星（炒黄色） 神曲（一两，
炒黄色） 大皂角（一斤，铁锅水煮烂，揉出声，胶净汁入锅，入枣肉再熬成胶和药） 红枣
（六两，蒸，去皮核，入皂角汁纳熬胶）
上前三味为细末，以皂角枣胶捣丸，桐子大。每服五丸，清晨下床时用姜汤下，夜卧上
床时再服五丸。忌油腻煎炒。如身上发红斑，急煎枣汤解之自愈。
《简易》济众方 治心气不宁，怔忡惊悸，清上膈风热痰饮。
白石英 朱砂（等分）
上为细末。每服五分，金银汤调下。
抱胆丸 治男妇一切癫痫风狂，或因惊恐畏怖所致，及妇人产后惊气入心，并室女经脉
通时惊邪蕴结，气实上盛者，累效。
水银（二两） 黑铅（一两半） 朱砂（细研） 乳香（细研，各一两）
上将黑铅入铫子内溶化，下水银结成砂子，次下朱砂、乳香，乘热用柳木槌研匀，丸鸡
豆子大。每服一丸，空心井花水吞下。病者得睡，切莫惊动，觉来即安，再一丸可除根。
灵苑辰砂散 治风痰诸痫，狂言妄走，精神恍惚，思虑迷乱，乍歌乍哭，饮食失常
，疾发仆地，吐沫戴眼，魂魄不守。
辰砂（光明佳者，二两） 枣仁（微炒） 乳香（明者，各半两）
上为细末。先令病患随量恣饮沉醉，但勿令吐，居静室中，将前药都作一服，用温酒一
钟调匀，令顿饮之。如量浅者，但随量取醉。服药讫，便令安卧，病浅者半日至一日，病深
者卧三两日，只令家人潜伺之，察其鼻息匀调，切勿唤觉，亦不可惊触使觉，必待其自醒，
即神魂定矣。万一惊寤，则不可复治。吴正肃公少时心病，服此一剂，五日方寤，遂瘥。
归神丹 治五痫诸风，痰壅惊悸，神不守舍。
人参 当归 枣仁 白茯苓（各二两） 朱砂（大块者） 琥珀 远志（姜汤制） 龙齿（各一两）
金箔 银箔（各二十片）
上为末，酒糊丸，桐子大。每服三、五十丸，麦门冬汤下。
《得效》宁志丸 治心风癫痫，服此一料，其病顿减。
朱砂（佳者，一两） 人参 白茯苓 当归 石菖蒲 乳香（另研） 枣仁（浸去皮，取仁炒
香熟，各五钱）
上将朱砂用熟绢一小片包裹线扎，以 猪心一枚，竹刀切开，纸拭去血，入朱砂
包定，再用线缚外，以竹箬重裹，麻皮扎紧，用无灰酒二升同入砂罐煮，酒尽，取出朱砂另
研；将猪心用竹刀细切，砂盆内研烂，拌入药末，再加煮熟净枣肉四两捣，桐子大，留少朱
砂为衣。每服五、七十丸，人参汤下。
人参琥珀丸 治癫痫。
人参 琥珀（另研） 茯神 白茯苓 石菖蒲（小者） 远志（酒浸，各半两） 乳香（另研）
朱砂（水飞） 枣仁（温酒浸半日，去壳，纸上炒香，各二钱半）
上为末，炼蜜丸，桐子大。每服三、五十丸，食后温酒送下，日再服。如不能饮者，枣
汤下。此可常服。
《集验》秘方半夏丸 治心风癫狂。张德明传，其内人失心狂数年，服此药而愈，后再
作，服人参琥珀丸而安。
半夏（一两，用生姜汁煮三、五十沸，取出切作块，更煮令熟，焙干为末） 麝香（一钱，研）
水银（半两） 生薄荷（一大握，用水银研如泥）
上药同薄荷泥更研千百下，丸如芥子。每服十五丸，金银汤临卧服，三日再服。
神应丹 治诸痫。
辰砂（佳者，不拘多少）
上研细，猪心血和匀，以蒸饼裹剂蒸熟，就热取出，丸桐子大。每服一丸，人参汤下，
食后临卧服。
（杨氏）五痫神应丸 治癫痫潮发，不问新久。
白附子（炮，半两） 半夏（二两，汤洗） 南星（姜制） 乌蛇（酒浸） 白矾（生，各一两） 全蝎
（炒，二钱） 蜈蚣（半条） 白僵蚕（炒，一两半） 麝香（三字，研） 皂角（二两，捶碎，用水半升揉汁
去渣，同白矾一处熬干为度，研） 朱砂（飞，二钱半）
上为细末，生姜汁煮面糊为丸，桐子大。每服三十丸，生姜汤食后送下。
《局方》牛黄清心丸 治心志不定，神气不宁，惊恐癫狂，语言谵妄，虚烦少睡，甚至
弃衣登高，逾垣上屋，或小儿风痰上壅，抽搐发热，或急惊痰盛发搐，目反口噤，烦躁等证。
牛黄（一两，二钱） 白术 麦门冬 枯黄芩（各两半） 人参 神曲 蒲黄（炒，各二两半） 山药
（七两） 炙甘草（五两） 杏仁（去皮尖，炒黄色。另研） 桔梗（各二两二钱） 大豆黄卷（微炒） 当

五钱） 羚羊角（镑，一两） 犀角（镑，二两） 雄黄（八钱，飞） 干姜（炮，七钱） 大枣（百枚，蒸熟去
皮，研膏） 金箔（一千四百张，内四百为衣）
上另研为末，炼蜜与枣杵匀，每两作十丸，用金箔为衣。每服一丸，温水化下。
《医统》牛黄丸 治癫狂风痫心风，神不守舍，时发无常，仆地吐涎，不自知觉。
牛黄 珍珠 麝香（各五分） 朱砂 龙齿（各另研） 犀角 琥珀（各二钱） 天门冬（去心）
麦门冬（去心） 人参 茯苓（各四钱） 水银（五分） 防风 黄芩 知母 龙胆草 石菖蒲 白芍

上为末，共和匀，炼蜜和捣千杵，丸如梧桐子大。每服十五丸，食后临卧新竹叶汤下。
（万氏）牛黄清心丸 方在小儿。治心热神昏。
（钱氏）牛黄丸 方在小儿。治小儿痰涎风痫。
《杂着》牛黄丸 方在小儿。治小儿惊痫，痰涎壅盛。
三味牛黄丸 方在小儿。治小儿惊热疳积。
苏合香丸 治中气，或卒暴气逆心痛，鬼魅恶气等证。
麝香 沉香 丁香 白檀香 香附 荜拨 白术 诃子（煨去皮） 朱砂（水飞） 青木香

上为细末，用安息香膏并炼蜜，每两作十丸，熔黄蜡包裹为善。每用温水化服一丸。或
丸如桐子大，每服四、五丸。
龙脑鸡苏丸 治上焦之火，除烦解劳，安吐血衄血，清五脏虚烦，神志不定，上而酒毒
膈热消渴，下而血滞五淋血崩等疾。
麦冬（四两） 甘草（一两半） 龙脑薄荷叶（一斤） 阿胶（炒） 人参（各二两） 黄 （炙，一两） 生
《百选》桃仁膏：治疗气血凝滞、疝气（指少腹牵引睾丸坠胀疼痛的病证）、膀胱与小肠气机阻滞，疼痛难以忍受。
药材：桃仁（炒制，去皮和尖），大茴香（炒制）。
制法与用法：将上述药材等量研磨成细末。每次服用二钱，取葱白二寸煨熟，蘸取药粉细细咀嚼，空腹时用热酒送服。
《局方》守效丸：治疗不痛的疝气的关键药物。
药材：苍术，天南星，白芷，川芎，山楂，半夏，枳实（一说用橘核代替）。
制法与用法：将上述药材等量研磨成细末，用姜汁调糊制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用七、八十丸，用盐汤送服。若有寒象，加吴茱萸；若有热象，加山栀子；或者再加青皮、荔枝核。
来复丹：治疗伏暑引起的泄泻，症见内寒外热，疗效神奇；以及治疗各种腹痛、疝气、小儿惊风。
药材：硝石（一两，与硫黄一起研末，放入瓷盘中，用微火炒，用柳枝搅拌结成砂状，火不可太大，以免损伤药力；再研磨极细，称为“二气末”），舶上硫黄（一两），五灵脂（澄清去除沙土），橘红，青皮（各二两，一作各二钱），太阴玄精石（一两）。
制法与用法：将上述药材研磨成细末，用醋调糊制成丸剂，大小如豌豆。每次服用三十丸，空腹时用米饮送服。若是伏暑导致的心烦意乱，用紫苏汤送服。成人疝气及各种疼痛，都适宜服用。小儿惊风危重时，将药研碎，用米汤送服。
《卫生》润肠汤：治疗大便燥结不通。
药材：生地黄，生甘草，熟地黄，当归尾，大黄（煨制，各五钱），桃仁，麻子仁（各一钱），红花（五分）。
制法与用法：用水两盏，煎至一盏，空腹服用。
通幽汤：治疗大便燥结坚硬色黑，伴有腹痛。
药材：熟地黄，生地黄，归梢（当归尾部），红花，桃仁泥，大黄（各一钱），升麻（二分）。
制法与用法：用水一钟半，煎煮后服用。古方中加麻仁、甘草，即名为润燥汤。
（李东垣）导滞通幽汤：治疗幽门不通，气机升降失常，大便闭塞。凡是脾胃初受热邪困扰的，多有此证，治疗关键在于疏通幽门，采用辛味滋润的方法。
药材：升麻梢，桃仁泥，归身（各一钱），炙甘草，红花（各三分），熟地黄，生地黄（各五分）。
制法与用法：用水二钟，煎至一钟，调入槟榔末五分，稍热时服用。
（刘河间）浓朴汤：治疗因气机阻滞导致的大便不通，不能饮食，小便清利者，这称为虚秘，此汤主治。大概实秘是有形之邪阻滞，虚秘是无形之气滞。
药材：浓朴（一钱半），白术（二钱），半夏，枳壳，陈皮，甘草（各一钱）。
制法与用法：用水一钟半，生姜三片，大枣三枚，煎至八分，饭后远时服用。如果仍不通畅，加大黄一钱。
《会编》皂角散：治疗大小便关格不通，持续三、五天者。
药材：大皂角（烧存性，即烧至外部焦黑内部保留药性）。
制法与用法：将上述药材研磨成细末。用米汤调服。另外，取猪脂一两煮熟，将汤汁和油脂一同吃下。也适宜服用八正散加槟榔、枳壳、朴硝、桃仁、灯心草、茶叶煎服。
《良方》三仁丸：治疗大肠有热，津液枯竭干燥，大便涩滞。
药材：柏子仁，松子仁，火麻仁（各一两）。
制法与用法：将上述药材研磨均匀，用黄蜡半两熔化后混合制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用二十丸，饭前用米饮送服；若未通畅，增加几服服用。
（李东垣）润肠丸：治疗胃中潜伏的火邪，大便秘涩不通，不想饮食，或者是风结、血秘，都需要润燥、和血、疏风，大便自然通畅。
药材：归梢，大黄（煨制），羌活（各五钱），麻仁，桃仁（去皮尖，各一两）。
制法与用法：将桃仁、麻仁另外研磨成泥，其余药材研为细末，用炼蜜制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用三、五十丸，空腹用白开水送服。
一方中有皂角仁、秦艽各五钱。
《济生》苁蓉润肠丸：治疗因发汗、利小便导致津液亡失，大肠腑气秘结，老人及体虚之人适宜服用。
药材：肉苁蓉（酒浸，焙干，二两），沉香（一两，另研）。
制法与用法：将上述药材研磨成细末，取麻子仁捣烂，加水取汁打糊制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用七、八十丸，空腹用米饮或酒送服。
益血润肠丸：治疗老人大便燥结。
药材：熟地黄（六两），杏仁（炒，去皮尖），麻仁（各三两，以上三味同杵成膏），枳壳（麸炒），橘红（各二两），肉苁蓉（酒洗去甲），阿胶（炒，各一两），苏子，荆芥（各一两），当归（三两）。
制法与用法：将后七味药材研磨成细末，与前三种药材制成的膏混合，杵捣千余下，再加入炼蜜制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用五、六十丸，空腹用白开水或酒送服。
搜风顺气丸：治疗痔漏、风热闭结，老人燥秘等证。
药材：车前子（一两半），大麻子（微炒，二钱），大黄（五钱，半生半熟），牛膝（酒浸），郁李仁，菟丝子（酒浸），枳壳，山药（各二钱）。
制法与用法：将上述药材研磨成细末，用炼蜜制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用三十丸，温酒送服。
《圣惠》搜风顺气丸：治疗风气、香港脚（足部肿痛之病），凡是老人、小儿血热风热导致大便秘结者适宜服用。
药材：车前子（一两半），大麻仁（微炒，去壳），郁李仁（炮制，去皮），菟丝子（酒浸煮），牛膝（酒浸一夜），干山药（各一两），白槟榔（一两），枳壳（麸炒），防风，独活（各八钱），大黄（五钱，半生半熟）。
制法与用法：用炼蜜制成丸剂，大小如赤小豆。茶、酒、汤任其选择送服，早晚各服一次。
地髓汤：治疗死血（瘀血）作淋，疼痛难以忍受，以及五淋（五种淋证）小便不通，尿道中疼痛剧烈欲死。又名牛膝膏，又名苦杖散。
药材：牛膝（不拘多少）。
制法与用法：或用一两捶碎。用水二钟，煎取浓汁一钟，去渣，每日三次服用。又一种方法加入少许麝香，空腹服用。或者单用酒煎煮也可以。
牛膝膏：治疗死血作淋。
药材：桃仁（去皮尖），归尾（酒洗，各一两），生地黄（酒洗），赤芍药（各一两半），川芎（五钱），牛膝（去芦头，四两，酒浸一夜）。
制法与用法：将药材切碎。用好水十钟，炭火慢煎至二钟，加入少许麝香，分四次空腹服用。如果是夏季，必须用冷水更换浸泡，则不会变质。

药材：木通，赤茯苓，车前叶，滑石（各二钱），瞿麦（一钱）。
制法与用法：用水一钟半，煎至七分，饭前服用。
葱白汤：治疗小便突然完全不通，小腹胀急，气上冲心，胸闷窒息欲死。这是由于暴气侵袭膀胱，或因惊恐忧思导致气机无法舒展，冲逆胞系，郁闭不流所致。
药材：陈皮（三两），葵子（一两），葱白（三茎）。
制法与用法：将药材切碎。用水五升，煮取二升，分三次服用。另一种说法是每次服用五钱，葱白三茎，水煎服。

药材：茯苓，猪苓，泽泻（各一钱半），车前子，琥珀，木通，瞿麦，蓄（各一钱），通草，灯心草（各五分）。
制法与用法：用水二钟，煎至一钟，饭后远时服用。
半夏丸：治疗湿痰流注、白浊，神效。
药材：半夏（制），猪苓（等分）。
制法与用法：将上述药材研磨成细末，用神曲调糊服用。按语：此方与《本事方》猪苓丸意思相同，详见固阵章节。
《良方》醍醐膏：治疗消渴（糖尿病类病症）。
药材：白砂蜜（五斤），砂仁（研为细末，半两），乌梅（一斤，捶碎。用水四大碗，煎至一碗，去渣）。
制法与用法：放入砂锅中，用慢火熬至赤色成膏，取下放冷，加入白檀细末三钱，麝香一字，搅匀，用瓷器收贮并密封。冬季用沸水调服，夏季用凉水亦可。
无择养荣汤：治疗五疸虚弱，脚软心悸，口淡耳鸣，轻微寒热，气急，小便白浊，当作虚劳治疗。
药材：人参，黄芪，白术，当归，甘草（炙），桂心，陈皮（各一两），白芍药（三两），生地黄，茯苓（各五钱），五味子，远志（各三钱）。
制法与用法：将药材切碎。每次服用一两，用水一钟半，生姜三片，大枣三枚，煎至七分，饭前服用。
《纲目》绿矾丸：治疗黄胖病（缺铁性贫血类病症）。
药材：绿矾（六两，用米醋在铁勺内炒七次，炒干为止，放在地上退去火气），南星（炒至黄色），神曲（一两，炒至黄色），大皂角（一斤，铁锅水煮烂，揉出声音，胶净汁入锅，加入枣肉再熬成胶以调和药粉），红枣（六两，蒸熟，去皮核，加入皂角汁纳入熬胶中）。
制法与用法：将前三味药材研为细末，用皂角枣胶捣制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用五丸，清晨下床时用姜汤送服，夜卧上床时再服五丸。忌食油腻煎炒食物。如果身上出现红斑，急煎枣汤解之自愈。
《简易》济众方：治疗心气不宁，怔忡惊悸，清上膈风热痰饮。
药材：白石英，朱砂（等分）。
制法与用法：将上述药材研为细末。每次服用五分，用金银汤调服。
抱胆丸：治疗男女一切癫痫风狂，或因惊恐畏怖所致，以及妇人产后惊气入心，并室女月经通时惊邪蕴结，气实上盛者，屡试屡效。
药材：水银（二两），黑铅（一两半），朱砂（细研），乳香（细研，各一两）。
制法与用法：先将黑铅放入铫子内熔化，下水银结成砂状，其次下朱砂、乳香，趁热用柳木槌研磨均匀，制成鸡豆子大小的丸剂。每次服用一丸，空腹用井花水吞下。病人睡着后，切勿惊动，醒来即安，再服一丸可除根。
灵苑辰砂散：治疗风痰诸痫，狂言妄走，精神恍惚，思虑迷乱，忽歌忽哭，饮食失常，疾病发作仆倒在地，吐沫戴眼（眼睛上翻），魂魄不守。
药材：辰砂（光明佳者，二两），枣仁（微炒），乳香（明者，各半两）。
制法与用法：将上述药材研为细末。先让病人随量尽情饮酒沉醉，但不要让他呕吐，居住在安静房间中，将前面的药全部作为一服，用温酒一钟调匀，令其顿饮。如果酒量浅的人，只随量取醉。服药完毕后，立即令其安卧，病轻者半天到一天，病重者卧两三天，只让家人暗中观察，察其鼻息均匀调和，千万不要唤醒，也不可惊吓使其觉醒，必须等待其自行醒来，神魂就安定矣。万一惊醒，则不可再治。吴正肃公年轻时患心病，服用这一剂，五日才醒，于是痊愈。
归神丹：治疗五痫诸风，痰壅惊悸，神不守舍。
药材：人参，当归，枣仁，白茯苓（各二两），朱砂（大块者），琥珀，远志（姜汤制），龙齿（各一两），金箔，银箔（各二十片）。
制法与用法：将上述药材研磨成细末，用酒调糊制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用三、五十丸，用麦门冬汤送服。
《得效》宁志丸：治疗心风癫痫，服用这一料，病情顿时减轻。
药材：朱砂（佳者，一两），人参，白茯苓，当归，石菖蒲，乳香（另研），枣仁（浸去皮，取仁炒香熟，各五钱）。
制法与用法：先将朱砂用熟绢一小片包裹线扎，取猪心一枚，用竹刀切开，纸拭去血，包入朱砂，再用线缚紧外面，用竹箬重重包裹，麻皮扎紧，用无灰酒二升同入砂罐煮，酒尽，取出朱砂另研；将猪心用竹刀细切，在砂盆内研烂，拌入药末，再加煮熟净枣肉四两捣匀，制成梧桐子大小的丸剂，留少许朱砂为衣。每次服用五、七十丸，用人参汤送服。
人参琥珀丸：治疗癫痫。
药材：人参，琥珀（另研），茯神，白茯苓，石菖蒲（小者），远志（酒浸，各半两），乳香（另研），朱砂（水飞），枣仁（温酒浸半日，去壳，纸上炒香，各二钱半）。
制法与用法：将上述药材研磨成细末，用炼蜜制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用三、五十丸，食后温酒送服，每日两次。如果不能饮酒者，用枣汤送服。此方可常服。
《集验》秘方半夏丸：治疗心风癫狂。张德明传，其家奴失心狂数年，服用此药而愈，后来复发，服人参琥珀丸而安定。
药材：半夏（一两，用生姜汁煮三、五十沸，取出切作块，再煮令熟，焙干为末），麝香（一钱，研），水银（半两），生薄荷（一大握，用水银研如泥）。
制法与用法：将上述药与薄荷泥一起研磨千百下，制成芥子大小的丸剂。每次服用十五丸，临睡前用金银汤送服，三日后再服。
神应丹：治疗诸痫。
药材：辰砂（佳者，不拘多少）。
制法与用法：研细，用猪心血和匀，以蒸饼裹剂蒸熟，趁热取出，制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次服用一丸，用人参汤送服，食后临卧服。
（杨氏）五痫神应丸：治疗癫痫潮发，不问新久。
药材：白附子（炮制，半两），半夏（二两，汤洗），南星（姜制），乌蛇（酒浸），白矾（生，各一两），全蝎（炒，二钱），蜈蚣（半条），白僵蚕（炒，一两半），麝香（三字，研），皂角（二两，捶碎，用水半升揉汁去渣，同白矾一处熬干为度，研），朱砂（飞，二钱半）。
制法与用法：将上述药材研为细末，用生姜汁煮面糊制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用三十丸，生姜汤食后送服。
《局方》牛黄清心丸：治疗心志不定，神气不宁，惊恐癫狂，语言谵妄，虚烦少睡，甚至弃衣登高，逾垣上屋，或小儿风痰上壅，抽搐发热，或急惊痰盛发搐，目反口噤，烦躁等证。
药材：牛黄（一两二钱），白术，麦门冬，枯黄芩（各一两半），人参，神曲，蒲黄（炒，各二两半），山药（七两），炙甘草（五两），杏仁（去皮尖，炒黄色。另研），桔梗（各二两二钱），大豆黄卷（微炒），当归，肉桂（各一两七钱），阿胶，白蔹（各七钱半），白茯苓（一两二钱），川芎，防风，麝香，冰片（各五钱），羚羊角（镑，一两），犀角（镑，二两），雄黄（八钱，飞），干姜（炮，七钱），大枣（百枚，蒸熟去皮，研膏），金箔（一千四百张，内四百张为衣）。
制法与用法：将药材另外研磨成细末，用炼蜜与大枣膏杵匀，每两药粉作十丸，用金箔为衣。每次服用一丸，温水化下。
《医统》牛黄丸：治疗癫狂风痫心风，神不守舍，时发无常，仆地吐涎，不自知觉。
药材：牛黄，珍珠，麝香（各五分），朱砂，龙齿（各另研），犀角，琥珀（各二钱），天门冬（去心），麦门冬（去心），人参，茯苓（各四钱），水银（五分），防风，黄芩，知母，龙胆草，石菖蒲，白芍药，全蝎，甘草（各五钱），蜂房（三钱），金箔，银箔（各七十片）。
制法与用法：将上述药材研磨成细末，混合均匀，用炼蜜和捣千杵，制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次服用十五丸，食后临卧用新竹叶汤送服。
苏合香丸：治疗中气，或卒暴气逆心痛，鬼魅恶气等证。
药材：麝香，沉香，丁香，白檀香，香附，荜拨，白术，诃子（煨去皮），朱砂（水飞），青木香，乌犀角（各二两），熏陆香，龙脑（各一两），安息香（二两，另为末，用无灰酒一升熬膏），苏合油（二两，入安息香膏内）。
制法与用法：将上述药材研为细末，用安息香膏并炼蜜，每两药粉作十丸，熔黄蜡包裹为好。每次用温水化服一丸。或者制成梧桐子大小的丸剂，每次服用四、五丸。
龙脑鸡苏丸：治疗上焦之火，除烦解劳，安吐血衄血，清五脏虚烦，神志不定，上而酒毒膈热消渴，下而血滞五淋血崩等疾。
药材：麦冬（四两），甘草（一两半），龙脑薄荷叶（一斤），阿胶（炒），人参（各二两），黄芪（炙，一两），生...
**Taoren Gao (Peach Kernel Ointment) from *Baixuan***: Treats Qi and Blood stagnation, hernia, and Qi pain in the bladder and small intestine with unbearable pain.
Ingredients: Taoren (Peach Seed, fried, skin and tip removed), Dahuixiang (Star Anise, fried).
Grind the above ingredients into powder in equal proportions. Take 2 qian per dose. Roast two cun of scallion white until cooked, dip in the medicine, chew thoroughly, and swallow with hot wine on an empty stomach.
**Shouxiao Wan (Guarding Efficacy Pill) from *Ju Fang***: A key medicine for treating hernias without pain.
Ingredients: Cangzhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma), Nanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Shanzha (Crataegi Fructus), Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma), Zhishi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus; alternatively, Juhé (Citri Reticulatae Semen)).
Grind the above ingredients into powder in equal proportions. Use ginger juice to make a paste for pills, sized like paulownia seeds. Take 70-80 pills per dose, swallowed with salt water. If there is cold, add Zhuyu (Evodiae Fructus); if there is heat, add Shanzhizi (Gardeniae Fructus); or additionally add Qingpi (Tangerine Green Peel) and Lizhihe (Litchi Seed).
**Laifu Dan (Returning Harmony Cinnabar)**: Treats diarrhea caused by latent summerheat, internal cold with external heat, with miraculous efficacy. Also treats various abdominal pains, hernias, and infantile convulsions.
Ingredients: Xiaoshi (Niter, 1 liang, mixed with Liuhuang (Sulfur) into powder, placed in a porcelain dish, fried over low fire, stirred with willow branch until granules form; fire must not be too strong to avoid damaging medicinal power; then ground extremely fine, named "Erqi Mo" (Two Qi Powder)), Boshang Liuhuang (Imported Sulfur, 1 liang), Wulingzhi (Trogopteri Dung, clarified to remove sand), Juhong (Tangerine Red Peel), Qingpi (Green Tangerine Peel) (each 2 liang, or each 2 qian), Taiyin Xuanjingshi (Taiyin Black Crystal, 1 liang).
Grind all ingredients into powder. Use vinegar paste to make pills, sized like pea seeds. Take 30 pills per dose, swallowed with rice drink on an empty stomach. For latent summerheat causing mental confusion, swallow with Perilla Decoction. Adults with hernia and various pains should take it. For infantile convulsions nearing death, crush the pill and swallow with rice soup.
**Runchang Tang (Moistening Intestines Decoction) from *Weisheng***: Treats dry, hard stool obstruction.
Ingredients: Shengdihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Recens), Sheng Gancao (Raw Licorice Root), Shudihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata), Dangguiwei (Tail of Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Dahuang (Rhubarb Radix, baked, each 5 qian), Taoren (Peach Seed), Maziren (Hemp Seed) (each 1 qian), Honghua (Carthami Flos, 0.5 qian).
Use 2 cups of water, decoct to 1 cup. Take on an empty stomach.
**Tongyou Tang (Unblocking the Hidden Decoction)**: Treats dry, hard, dark stool accompanied by abdominal pain.
Ingredients: Shudi (Prepared Rehmannia Root), Shengdi (Fresh Rehmannia Root), Guishao (Tip of Angelica Root), Honghua (Carthami Flos), Taoren Ni (Peach Kernel Paste), Dahuang (Rhubarb Radix) (each 1 qian), Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma, 0.2 qian).
Use 1.5 cups of water, decoct and take. Ancient formulas add Mahren (Hemp Seed) and Gancao (Licorice Root), named Rundao Tang (Moistening Dryness Decoction).
**(Li Dongyuan) Daozhi Tongyou Tang (Guiding Stagnation Unblocking Hidden Decoction)**: Treats pyloric obstruction, failure of Qi ascending and descending, and fecal impaction. This syndrome often occurs when the Spleen and Stomach are initially affected by Heat. Treatment focuses on the pylorus using acrid-moistening methods.
Ingredients: Shengma Shao (Tip of Cimicifuga Rhizome), Taoren Ni (Peach Kernel Paste), Guishen (Body of Angelica Root) (each 1 qian), Zhi Gancao (Honey-fried Licorice Root), Honghua (Carthami Flos) (each 0.3 qian), Shudi (Prepared Rehmannia Root), Shengdi (Fresh Rehmannia Root) (each 0.5 qian).
Use 2 cups of water, decoct to 1 cup. Mix with 0.5 qian of Areca Seed powder. Take slightly warm.
**(Liu Hejian) Houpo Tang (Magnolia Bark Decoction)**: Treats functional constipation (Qi constipation) where one cannot eat, but urination is clear and profuse, known as Deficiency Constipation. Real constipation is due to material accumulation; deficiency constipation is due to Qi stagnation.
Ingredients: Houpo (Magnolia Bark, 1.5 qian), Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome, 2 qian), Banxia (Pinellia Tuber), Zhike (Bitter Orange Fruit), Chenpi (Tangerine Peel), Gancao (Licorice Root) (each 1 qian).
Use 1.5 cups of water, 3 slices of ginger, 3 dates. Decoct to 0.8 cup. Take long after meals. If still obstructed, add Dahuang (Rhubarb Radix) 1 qian.
**Zaojiao San (Gleditsia Sinensis Powder) from *Huibian***: Treats complete obstruction of both large and small intestines persisting for 3-5 days.
Ingredients: Da Zaojiao (Large Gleditsia Sinensis Pod, charred to retain properties).
Grind into powder. Take with rice soup. Additionally, cook 1 liang of lard until soft, and consume both the broth and the fat. Alternatively, take Bazheng San (Eight-Herb Regulation Decoction) added with Binglang (Areca Seed), Zhike (Bitter Orange Fruit), Poxiao (Mirabilite), Taoren (Peach Seed), Dengxin (Juncus Medullary), and Cha Ye (Tea Leaf) decocted together.
**Sanren Wan (Three Seeds Pill) from *Liangfang***: Treats Heat in the Large Intestine, exhaustion of body fluids leading to dryness, and astringent difficulty in defecation.
Ingredients: Baiziren (Biota Seed), Songziren (Pine Seed), Huomaren (Hemp Seed) (each 1 liang).
Grind evenly. Melt 0.5 liang of yellow beeswax and mix to form pills, sized like paulownia seeds. Take 20 pills before meals with rice drink. If bowel movement is not smooth, increase the dosage.
**Pi Yue Wan (Spleen Restriction Pill)**: Formula found in the Attacking Section. Treats severe constipation.
**(Li Dongyuan) Runchang Wan (Moistening Intestines Pill)**: Treats latent Fire in the Stomach, dry and difficult defecation, loss of appetite, Wind Constipation, or Blood Constipation. One must moisten dryness, harmonize blood, and disperse wind for natural passage.
Ingredients: Guishao (Tip of Angelica Root), Dahuang (Rhubarb Radix, baked), Qianghuo (Notopterygium Rhizome) (each 5 qian), Mahren (Hemp Seed), Taoren (Peach Seed, skin and tip removed) (each 1 liang).
Grind the two seeds separately into paste. Grind other ingredients into fine powder. Mix with refined honey to make pills, sized like paulownia seeds. Take 30-50 pills on an empty stomach with plain boiled water.
Another prescription adds Zaorén (Soapberry Seed) and Qinjiao (Gentiana Macrophylla Root) each 5 qian.
**(Jisheng) Congrong Runchang Wan (Cistanche Moistening Intestines Pill)**: Treats constipation due to fluid depletion from sweating or diuresis. Suitable for the elderly and debilitated.
Ingredients: Rongcongrou (Cistanche Stem, wine-soaked, dried, 2 liang), Chenxiang (Agarwood, 1 liang, ground separately).
Grind into powder. Mash Hemp Seeds, extract juice, and use to make paste for pills, sized like paulownia seeds. Take 70-80 pills on an empty stomach with rice drink or wine.
**Yixue Runchang Wan (Blood-Nourishing Moistening Intestines Pill)**: Treats dry constipation in the elderly.
Ingredients: Shudihuang (Prepared Rehmannia Root, 6 liang), Xingren (Apricot Seed, fried, skin and tip removed), Mahren (Hemp Seed) (each 3 liang; these three are pounded into paste together), Zhike (Bitter Orange Fruit, bran-fried), Juhong (Tangerine Red Peel) (each 2 liang), Rongcongrou (Cistanche Stem, wine-washed), Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin, fried) (each 1 liang), Suzi (Perilla Seed), Jingjie (Schizonepeta Spike) (each 1 liang), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root, 3 liang).
Grind the latter seven ingredients into powder. Mix with the paste of the first three, pound over a thousand times. Add refined honey to make pills, sized like paulownia seeds. Take 50-60 pills on an empty stomach with plain boiled water or wine.
**Soushun Fengqi Wan (Searching Smoothness Directing Qi Pill)**: Treats hemorrhoids, fistulas, wind-heat obstruction, and dry constipation in the elderly.
Ingredients: Cheqianzi (Plantago Seed, 1.5 liang), Damazi (Hemp Seed, lightly fried, 2 qian), Dahuang (Rhubarb Radix, 5 qian, half raw half cooked), Niuxi (Achyranthes Root, wine-soaked), Yuliren (Prunus Seed), Tusizi (Cuscuta Seed, wine-soaked), Zhike (Bitter Orange Fruit), Shanyao (Dioscorea Rhizome) (each 2 qian).
Grind into powder. Make pills with refined honey, sized like paulownia seeds. Take 30 pills with warm wine.
**Soushun Fengqi Wan (Searching Smoothness Directing Qi Pill) from *Shenghui***: Treats Wind-Dampness (Hongxiangjiao), suitable for elderly and children with Blood-Wind-Heat causing constipation.
Ingredients: Cheqianzi (Plantago Seed, 1.5 liang), Damaren (Hemp Seed, lightly fried, shelled), Yuliren (Prunus Seed, processed, skinned), Tusizi (Cuscuta Seed, wine-soaked and boiled), Niuxi (Achyranthes Root, wine-soaked overnight), Ganshanyao (Dried Dioscorea Rhizome) (each 1 liang), Bai Binglang (White Areca Seed, 1 liang), Zhike (Bitter Orange Fruit, bran-fried), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root), Duohuo (Angelica Pubescens Root) (each 0.8 liang), Dahuang (Rhubarb Radix, 5 qian, half raw half cooked).
Make pills with refined honey, sized like red bean seeds. Take with tea, wine, or soup, morning and evening.
**Disui Tang (Earth Marrow Decoction)**: Treats painful strangury due to fixed blood (blood stasis), unbearable pain, and five types of strangury with urinary obstruction and severe urethral pain. Also known as Niuxi Gao (Achyranthes Ointment) or Kuzhang San (Bitter Staff Powder).
Ingredients: Niuxi (Achyranthes Root, any amount).
Crush 1 liang. Use 2 cups of water, decoct to 1 cup of thick liquid. Strain. Take three times daily. Another method: add a little Moshe (Musk) and take on an empty stomach. Or decoct alone with wine.
**Niuxi Gao (Achyranthes Ointment)**: Treats painful strangury due to fixed blood.
Ingredients: Taoren (Peach Seed, skin and tip removed), Guiwei (Tail of Angelica Root, wine-washed) (each 1 liang), Shengdihuang (Fresh Rehmannia Root, wine-washed), Chi Shaoyao (Red Peony Root) (each 1.5 liang), Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Root, 0.5 liang), Niuxi (Achyranthes Root, rhizome removed, 4 liang, wine-soaked overnight).
Cut into pieces. Use 10 cups of good water, slow-decoct over charcoal fire to 2 cups. Add a little Musk. Divide into four doses, take on an empty stomach. In summer, change the soaking water with cold water to prevent spoilage.
**Hupo San (Amber Powder) from *Jingyan***: Treats urinary obstruction and astringent strangury in the elderly and debilitated.
Ingredients: Hupo (Amber, ground to powder), Renshen (Ginseng Root, decocted into soup).
On an empty stomach, take 1 qian of Amber powder mixed with Ginseng soup.
**Daochi San (Directing Outward the Urine Powder)**: Formula found in the Cold Section. Clears Heat and astringency in the Small Intestine.
**Wanquan Mutong Tang (Mutong Decoction by Wan Quan)**: Treats difficult and yellow urination.
Ingredients: Mutong (Akebia Stem), Chi Fuling (Red Poria), Cheqian Ye (Plantago Leaf), Huashi (Talcum), Qumai (Dianthus Herb) (each 2 qian), Qumai (Dianthus Herb, 1 qian).
Use 1.5 cups of water, decoct to 0.7 cup. Take before meals.
**Congbai Tang (Scallion White Decoction)**: Treats sudden complete urinary obstruction, lower abdominal distension and urgency, Qi rushing to the heart, suffocation and near-death sensation. Caused by violent Qi invading the Bladder, or Qi unable to extend due to fright/worry, reversing into the bladder system, causing stagnation and flow obstruction.
Ingredients: Chenpi (Tangerine Peel, 3 liang), Kuizi (Abelmoschus Seed, 1 liang), Congbai (Scallion White, 3 stalks).
Cut into pieces. Use 5 sheng of water, boil to 2 sheng. Divide into three doses. Another version: take 5 qian per dose, 3 stalks of scallion white, decoct in water.
**(Li Dongyuan) Qingfei Yinzi (Lung-Clearing Infusion)**: Treats thirst with difficult urination, caused by pathogenic Heat in the Upper Jiao Qi level.
Ingredients: Fuling (Poria), Zhuling (Polyporus), Zexie (Alisma Rhizome) (each 1.5 qian), Cheqianzi (Plantago Seed), Hupo (Amber), Mutong (Akebia Stem), Qumai (Dianthus Herb), Lugu (Herba Siegesbeckiae) (each 1 qian), Tongcao (Tetrapanaxis Medulla), Dengxin (Juncus Medullary) (each 0.5 qian).
Use 2 cups of water, decoct to 1 cup. Take long after meals.
**Banxia Wan (Pinellia Pill)**: Treats flowing damp-phlegm and white turbidity, with miraculous effect.
Ingredients: Banxia (Pinellia Tuber, prepared), Zhuling (Polyporus) (equal parts).
Grind into powder. Take with Shenqu (Medicated Leaven) paste. Note: This formula shares the same principle as Zhuling Wan in *Ben Shi*, see the Solid Section.
**Tihu Gao (Clarified Butter Ointment) from *Liangfang***: Treats Xiao Ke (Wasting-Thirst/Diabetes).
Ingredients: Baisha Mi (White Sand Honey, 5 jin), Sharen (Amomum Fruit, ground, 0.5 liang), Wumei (Black Plum, 1 jin, crushed. Decoct in 4 bowls of water to 1 bowl, strain).
Place in a clay pot. Slowly boil until red and thickened into ointment. Remove and cool. Add 3 qian of Baitan (Sandalwood) fine powder and 1 zi (measure) of Moshe (Musk). Mix well. Store sealed in porcelain. In winter, take with boiling water; in summer, cold water is also acceptable.
**Wuze Yangrong Tang (Wuze Nourishing Prosperity Decoction)**: Treats weakness from five types of jaundice, weak legs, palpitations, bland taste, tinnitus, slight chills/fever, shortness of breath, white turbid urine. Treat as Xu Lao (Deficiency Consumption).
Ingredients: Renshen (Ginseng Root), Huangqi (Astragalus Root), Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root), Zhi Gancao (Honey-fried Licorice Root), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig), Chenpi (Tangerine Peel) (each 1 liang), Baishao (White Peony Root, 3 liang), Shengdihuang (Fresh Rehmannia Root), Fuling (Poria) (each 0.5 liang), Wuweizi (Schisandra Berry), Yuanzhi (Polygala Root) (each 0.3 liang).
Cut into pieces. Take 1 liang per dose. Use 1.5 cups of water, 3 slices of ginger, 3 dates. Decoct to 0.7 cup. Take before meals.
**Lvfan Wan (Green Vitriol Pill) from *Gangmu***: Treats Huang Pang (Yellow Distension/Iron Deficiency Anemia).
Ingredients: Lvfan (Green Vitriol, 6 liang, stir-fried 7 times in iron spoon with rice vinegar until dry, place on ground to remove fire qi), Nanxing (Arisaema Rhizoma, fried yellow), Shenqu (Medicated Leaven, 1 liang, fried yellow), Da Zaojiao (Large Gleditsia Sinensis Pod, 1 jin, boiled in iron pot until soft, kneaded until sound comes out, filtered juice returned to pot, add jujube meat and boil into glue to mix medicine), Hongzao (Red Jujube, 6 liang, steamed, skin and pit removed, added to Gleditsia juice for boiling glue).
Grind the first three ingredients into fine powder. Mix with Gleditsia-Jujube glue and pound into pills, sized like paulownia seeds. Take 5 pills early morning after getting out of bed with ginger soup, and 5 pills at night before bed. Avoid greasy and fried foods. If red spots appear on the body, decoct jujube soup urgently to resolve it, and it will heal itself.
**Jizhong Fang (Benefiting the Masses Prescription) from *Jianyi***: Treats unsettled Heart Qi, palpitations, fright, clearing Wind-Heat and Phlegm-Fluid in the Upper Jiao.
Ingredients: Bai Shiying (White Quartz), Zhusha (Cinnabar) (equal parts).
Grind into fine powder. Take 0.5 fen per dose, mixed with Gold-Silver Soup.
**Baodan Wan (Gallbladder-Embracing Pill)**: Treats epilepsy and mania in men and women, caused by fright or terror, postpartum fright Qi entering the Heart, or virgins with fright evil accumulation during menstruation with excess Qi rising. Highly effective.
Ingredients: Shuiyin (Mercury, 2 liang), Heiqian (Black Lead, 1.5 liang), Zhusha (Cinnabar, finely ground), Ruxiang (Frankincense, finely ground) (each 1 liang).
Melt Black Lead in a crucible. Add Mercury to form granules. Then add Cinnabar and Frankincense. While hot, grind evenly with a willow wood pestle. Make pills sized like chicken beans. Take 1 pill on an empty stomach with well water. Let the patient sleep; do not disturb. Upon waking, they are safe. One more pill can cure the root.
**Lingyuan Chensha San (Lingyuan Cinnabar Powder)**: Treats Wind-Phlegm epilepsy, delirium, running about, mental trance, confused thoughts, singing/crying suddenly, abnormal diet, falling down during attacks, foaming at the mouth, rolling eyes, loss of soul.
Ingredients: Chensha (Vermilion/Cinnabar, bright quality, 2 liang), Zaoren (Semen Ziziphus Spinosae, lightly fried), Ruxiang (Frankincense, clear quality) (each 0.5 liang).
Grind into fine powder. First, let the patient drink enough alcohol to become drunk, but not vomit. Place in a quiet room. Mix all medicine into one dose. Blend with 1 cup of warm wine and drink immediately. If tolerance is low, just get them drunk according to capacity. After taking medicine, lie down. Mild cases recover in half a day to one day; severe cases in 2-3 days. Family should observe quietly. Check for even breathing. Do not wake them up or startle them. Wait for natural awakening to stabilize the spirit. If startled awake, treatment fails. Lord Wu Zhengsu suffered Heart disease in youth; took this dose, woke after 5 days, and recovered.
**Guishen Dan (Spirit-Restoring Cinnabar)**: Treats five types of epilepsy and wind, phlegm obstruction, palpitations, loss of spirit.
Ingredients: Renshen (Ginseng Root), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root), Zaoren (Semen Ziziphus Spinosae), Baifuling (White Poria) (each 2 liang), Zhusha (Cinnabar, large chunks), Hupo (Amber), Yuanzhi (Polygala Root, ginger-soup prepared), Longchi (Dragon Teeth) (each 1 liang), Jinbo (Gold Foil), Yinbo (Silver Foil) (each 20 sheets).
Grind into powder. Make pills with wine paste, sized like paulownia seeds. Take 30-50 pills with Ophiopogon Decoction.
**Ningzhi Wan (Peaceful Mind Pill) from *Dexiao***: Treats Heart Wind Epilepsy. One course significantly reduces symptoms.
Ingredients: Zhusha (Cinnabar, good quality, 1 liang), Renshen (Ginseng Root), Baifuling (White Poria), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root), Shichangpu (Acorus Rhizome), Ruxiang (Frankincense, ground separately), Zaoren (Semen Ziziphus Spinosae, soaked, skin removed, kernel fried fragrant) (each 0.5 liang).
Wrap Zhusha in a small piece of cooked silk and tie. Cut open one pig heart with a bamboo knife, wipe blood with paper. Insert wrapped Zhusha into heart, tie outside, wrap tightly in bamboo leaves and hemp rope. Boil in 2 sheng of pure wine in a clay pot until wine is gone. Remove Zhusha and grind separately. Finely chop pig heart with bamboo knife, grind in clay mortar, mix with medicine powder. Add 4 liang of cooked, peeled jujube meat and pound. Make pills sized like paulownia seeds. Leave some Zhusha for coating. Take 50-70 pills with Ginseng soup.
**Renshen Hupo Wan (Ginseng-Amber Pill)**: Treats epilepsy.
Ingredients: Renshen (Ginseng Root), Hupo (Amber, ground separately), Fushen (Poria with Hostwood), Baifuling (White Poria), Shichangpu (Acorus Rhizoma, small ones), Yuanzhi (Polygala Root, wine-soaked) (each 0.5 liang), Ruxiang (Frankincense, ground separately), Zhusha (Cinnabar, water-triturated), Zaoren (Semen Ziziphus Spinosae, soaked in warm wine for half a day, shell removed, fried fragrant on paper) (each 0.25 liang).
Grind into powder. Make pills with refined honey, sized like paulownia seeds. Take 30-50 pills after meals with warm wine, twice daily. If unable to drink wine, take with jujube soup. Can be taken regularly.
**Banxia Wan (Pinellia Pill) Secret Recipe from *Jiyan***: Treats Heart Wind Mania. Passed down by Zhang Deming. His concubine had lost mind mania for years, cured by this medicine. Relapsed later, calmed by Renshen Hupo Wan.
Ingredients: Banxia (Pinellia Tuber, 1 liang, boiled in ginger juice for 30-50 boils, removed, cut into blocks, boiled again until cooked, dried and ground), Moshe (Musk, 1 qian, ground), Shuiyin (Mercury, 0.5 liang), Sheng Bohe (Fresh Mint, large handful, ground with mercury into paste).

**Niuhuang Qingxin Wan (Calming Heart Cinnabar Pill) from *Ju Fang***: Treats unstable Heart will, restless spirit, fright, epilepsy, mania, delirious speech, deficiency irritability, insomnia, discarding clothes, climbing high, jumping walls, or pediatric wind-phlegm obstruction, convulsions, fever, acute infantile convulsions with excessive phlegm, eye rolling, jaw clenching, irritability.
