Produced in Yushan, Xinzhou. There are arsenic wells, strictly sealed by the government. The wells contain turbid green water. First, draw all the water out, then dig down to extract raw arsenic, which is yellow-red like beef. What is sold in the market today is only made from sandstone mixed with rocks found in mountains, processed by burning and refining. Or, *Arsenic Realgar* (Xinshi, 信石) is sublimated to obtain the frost. After further calcination, the toxicity becomes even more intense. Why would one endure hardship to use the raw form when it is superior?
