【蟾酥】

先将蜗牛研烂，加入上述各药粉末，制成如绿豆大小的丸剂。每次服用三丸，用葱白嚼烂包裹药丸，以黄酒送服，服药后令其出汗。用于治疗各种疔疮。
【龙骨】
去掉头足，经炙烤后使用。赤色的龙骨品质较好。
味辛，性温，有毒。归足厥阴肝经。治疗脐风撮口（新生儿破伤风引起的牙关紧闭）、惊痫瘰疬；治疗蛇症甲肉（指甲周围红肿疼痛）、症癖毒蛊（腹内结块及中毒蛊惑之病）。最容易导致流产堕胎。
产于南方，如今西南地区到处都有。
【蛐蜒】
脚趾甲肉突起，焙干研末外敷，并用南星粉末加醋调和敷于四周。（验方第一。）
手上出现蛇头疔（手指末端红肿如蛇头），用烟熏之。或者研成粉末……
蛇症导致呕吐且常感饥饿，食物入口即吐，将药焙干研末，用酒送服一枚。（第三。）
【蜣螂】
味咸，性寒，有小毒。清除各种大热狂烦，去除各类风痫水肿。
赤游丹毒，用蜣螂粪水混合外敷。也可以加入皮硝。（验方第一。）

产于晋地山谷中，以及泰山岩石水岸的洞穴中。采集没有固定时间。

[Chan Su (Toad Venom)]
Pungent, warm, highly toxic. Treats all kinds of malignant swellings, back carbuncles and ding sores, as well as pediatric emaciation due to consumption, gan disease (malnutrition syndrome), and brain abscesses.
Chan Su Wan (Toad Venom Pill): Chan Su (3 qian), Qing Fen (Calomel), Tong Lv (Verdigris), Dan Fan (Alum), Ku Fan (Calcined Alum), Han Shui Shi (Aqua Stibitum), Ru Xiang (Olibanum), Mo Yao (Myrrha), Xiong Huang (Realgar) (each 1 qian), She Xiang (Musk) (7 fen), Zhu Sha (Cinnabar) (3 qian), Wo Niu (Snail) (21 pieces).
First, grind the snails into a paste, add the powders of all other medicines, and form pills the size of mung beans. Take three pills each time, chew green onion whites thoroughly to wrap the pill, and swallow with yellow wine to induce sweating. Treats all kinds of ding sores.
[Long Gu (Dragon Bone/Fossilized Bone)]
Remove the head and feet, use after calcining. Those that are red are superior.
Pungent, warm, toxic. Enters the Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian. Treats umbilical wind with mouth contraction (neonatal tetanus with trismus), fright epilepsy, and scrofula; treats snake-like swelling around nails and flesh, zheng pi masses (abdominal masses), and poison gu (parasitic poisoning). Most likely to cause abortion.
Originates from the South, now found everywhere in the Southwest.
[Zhu Yan (Silverfish/Thousand-legger)]
For protruding flesh around toenails, bake and powder, apply externally, and surround with a mixture of Nan Xing (Arisaema Rhizome) powder and vinegar. (Verified Formula No. 1.)

Salty, cold, slightly toxic. Resolves heat and detoxifies. Treats wind-epilepsy, umbilical wind with mouth contraction, reduces swelling and toxicity, treats hemorrhoids, fistulas, and throat obstruction.
[Hupo (Amber)]
Red ones are used for medicine. Works well when combined with Ren Shen (Ginseng) and Niu Huang (Calculus Bovis). Averse to Shi Gao (Gypsum Fibrosum). Those that are blue-white are superior.
Sweet, astringent, slightly cold, non-toxic. Enters the Hand Shaoyin Heart Meridian, Foot Shaoyin Kidney Meridian, Hand Yangming Large Intestine Meridian, and Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian. Consolidates the intestines and benefits the kidneys, calms the soul and settles fright, dispels evil and detoxifies.
Treats dysentery, stops hematemesis, epistaxis, metrorrhagia, and leukorrhea. Stops deficiency sweating and stabilizes asthma, generates muscle tissue and heals sores.
Found in the valleys of Jin region, and in caves along the rocky shores of Mount Tai. Harvested at any time.
[Usage Examples]
For mental exhaustion leading to nocturnal emission, combine with Yuan Zhi (Polygalae Radix), refine with honey to make pills, coat with Zhu Sha (Cinnabar), and ingest. (Verified Formula No. 1.)
For chronic dysentery leading to rectal prolapse, powder and apply externally. (No. 2.)
