十丸。
空腹沸汤临卧温酒送下。精不固者加五味子五钱。阳事不举者加山药山茱萸肉各一两。肉桂
五钱。自汗不时者倍枣仁加黄 一两。治神不守舍心肾不足梦遗精滑。
远志汤。远志（黑豆甘草同煮去骨）黄 当归（酒洗）麦冬（去心）酸枣仁（炒研）石
斛各一钱
五分。人参茯神各七分。甘草五分。水二钟。煎至八分。食远服。治心虚烦热。夜卧不宁。

热毒则痛。敷之即不痛。或热甚人手不可近。敷之即清凉。或气虚冷溃而不饮。敷之即敛。
主治。利小便。益气力。补腰膝。大兴阳。凡阴虚走精。阳强不痿者忌服。
仙灵脾酒。淫羊藿一斤。酒一斗浸服。暖腰膝。兴阳。
主治。降火。消一切肿毒。滋阴利咽喉。通小便。
玄参散。玄参升麻独活麦冬（去心）黄芩黄柏大黄（炒）栀子仁前胡犀角甘草（炙）各
等分。
研末。每服五钱。水一盏煎至五分。不拘时温服。治口舌生疮。速齿龈烂痛。
又方。玄参生草各五钱。石膏二两。麦冬（去心）七钱五分。前胡枳实（麸炒）人参赤
芍黄
赤茯苓川芎生干地黄黄芩各一两。为末。每服四钱。水一中盏。加竹叶廿七片。小麦一百
粒。煎至六分。去滓。不拘时温服。治痈疽发热毒盛寒热心烦。四肢疼痛。
玄参升麻汤。玄参升麻犀角赤芍桔梗贯众黄芩甘草各等分。研末。每服四钱。水一盏半。
煎至七分。去滓。不拘时服。治心脾壅热。舌疮。水舌。舌肿或连颊项肿痛。
玄参饮。玄参汉防己升麻羚羊角（锉末）沙参车前子栀子（炒）桑白皮大黄（微炒）火
麻仁杏
仁（去双仁皮尖麸炒微黄）各等分。水二碗。煎至八分。去滓热服。治眼肿如鱼胞。
玄参清肺饮。玄参柴胡桔梗陈皮地骨皮茯苓麦冬薏仁人参甘草槟榔研末。童便一小钟冲
服。治肺痿吐脓。
【远志】
主治：健忘，安神，通利九窍，治疗各种痈疽。
远志丸：取远志（用甘草汤浸泡后去除木质心）和石菖蒲各五钱；茯神（去皮木）、白茯苓（或用酸枣仁）、人参、龙齿（用醋处理后飞研）各一两；朱砂五钱（其中一半用水飞法处理作为药衣）。将上述药材研成细末，用蜂蜜制成梧桐子大小的蜜丸，外用朱砂粉包裹。每次服用五十至七十丸，空腹时或临睡前，用滚开水或温酒送服。精气不固者，加五味子五钱；阳痿不起者，加山药、山茱萸肉各一两，肉桂五钱；自汗且不时发作者，加倍使用酸枣仁，并加入黄芪一两。此方用于治疗心神不守、心肾不足导致的梦遗、滑精。
远志汤：取远志（与黑豆、甘草同煮后去除木质心）、黄芪、当归（用酒清洗）、麦冬（去除心）、酸枣仁（炒熟后捣碎）、石斛各一钱五分；人参、茯神各七分；甘草五分。加水两钟，煎煮至八分，饭后服用。用于治疗心虚引起的烦热，夜间睡眠不安，以及病后出现的虚烦症状。若烦躁严重，可加入竹叶和知母。
远志酒：远志用量不限，用米泔水浸泡清洗，捶打去除木质心，研成粉末。每次服用三钱，用一盏温酒调匀，稍待片刻，饮用上层清液，并将药渣敷于患处。用于治疗各种痈疽、发背、疖毒及恶喉等重症。若有瘀血阴毒积聚在体内，则表现为不痛，外敷药渣后即感到疼痛；若有热毒，则表现为疼痛，外敷药渣后疼痛即止。若热势极盛，手无法靠近患处，外敷药渣后即刻感到清凉；若因气虚寒冷导致溃烂且不收敛，外敷药渣后即可收敛愈合。
【淫羊藿】
主治：通利小便，益气力，补益腰膝，大补阳气。凡是阴虚导致遗精滑泄，或阳强不倒者，禁止服用。
仙灵脾酒：取淫羊藿一斤，用酒一斗浸泡后服用。用于温暖腰膝，振奋阳气。
【玄参】
主治：降火，消除各种肿毒，滋阴利咽喉，通利小便。
玄参散：玄参、升麻、独活、麦冬（去心）、黄芩、黄柏、大黄（炒制）、栀子仁、前胡、犀角、甘草（炙制）各等分。研成细末。每次服用五钱，加水一盏，煎煮至五分，不拘时间温服。用于治疗口舌生疮，牙齿牙龈腐烂疼痛。
又一方：玄参、生甘草各五钱，石膏二两，麦冬（去心）七钱五分，前胡、枳实（麸炒）、人参、赤芍、赤茯苓、川芎、生干地黄、黄芩各一两。研成细末。每次服用四钱，加水一中盏，加入竹叶二十七片，小麦一百粒，煎煮至六分，去渣。不拘时间温服。用于治疗痈疽发热，毒邪炽盛，寒热往来，心烦，四肢疼痛。
玄参升麻汤：玄参、升麻、犀角、赤芍、桔梗、贯众、黄芩、甘草各等分。研成细末。每次服用四钱，加水一盏半，煎煮至七分，去渣。不拘时间服用。用于治疗心脾壅滞之热，舌部生疮，水舌，舌体肿胀或连带脸颊、颈部肿痛。
玄参饮：玄参、汉防己、升麻、羚羊角（锉成粉末）、沙参、车前子、栀子（炒制）、桑白皮、大黄（微炒）、火麻仁、杏仁（去除双仁皮尖，麸炒至微黄）各等分。加水两碗，煎煮至八分，去渣，热服。用于治疗眼睛肿胀如鱼胞状。
玄参清肺饮：玄参、柴胡、桔梗、陈皮、地骨皮、茯苓、麦冬、薏苡仁、人参、甘草、槟榔研成细末。用童子尿一小钟冲服。用于治疗肺痿吐脓。
[Polygalae Radix (Yuanzhi)]
Indications: Amnesia, calming the spirit, unblocking the nine orifices, treating various carbuncles and sores.
Yuanzhi Wan (Polygalae Pill): Polygalae Radix (soaked in Licorice Decoction, woody core removed) and Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Shichangpu), each 5 qian; Poria Cocos with Pine Wood (Fushen, pith removed), Poria Cocos (Baifuling, or alternatively Ziziphi Spinosomi Semen/Zaoren), Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen), and Ossis Draconis (Longchi, processed with vinegar and levigated), each 1 liang; Cinnabaris (Zhusha) 5 qian (half processed by water levigation for coating). Grind into fine powder, mix with honey to form pills the size of wu-tzu seeds, coat with Zhusha powder. Take 50–70 pills per dose, administered on an empty stomach or before sleep, with boiling water or warm wine. For cases of insecure essence, add Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi) 5 qian; for impotence, add Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao) and Corni Fructus (Shanzhuyu Rou), each 1 liang, plus Cinnamomi Cortex (Rougui) 5 qian. For spontaneous sweating occurring at irregular intervals, double the dosage of Zaoren and add Astragali Radix (Huangqi) 1 liang. This formula treats loss of mental possession due to deficiency of Heart and Kidney, manifesting as nocturnal emission and spermatorrhea.
Yuanzhi Tang (Polygalae Decoction): Polygalae Radix (boiled together with Glycine Max seed/Heidou and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma/Gancao, woody core removed), Astragali Radix (Huangqi), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui, washed with wine), Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong, heart removed), Ziziphi Spinosomi Semen (Suanzaoren, stir-fried and crushed), and Dendrobii Caulis (Shihu), each 1 qian 5 fen; Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen) and Poria Cocos with Pine Wood (Fushen), each 7 fen; Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) 5 fen. Add 2 zhong of water, decoct until 8 fen remains. Take after meals. Treats irritability and heat due to Heart deficiency, restless sleep at night, and lingering vexation after illness. If vexation is severe, add Bambusae Folium (Zhuye) and Anemarrhenae Rhizoma (Zhimu).
Yuanzhi Jiu (Polygalae Wine): Polygalae Radix, quantity unrestricted. Soak and wash in rice-washing water, beat to remove the woody core, and grind into powder. Take 3 qian per dose, mix with one zhan of warm wine, let settle for a moment, drink the clear liquid, and apply the dregs to the affected area. Treats all types of carbuncles, back abscesses (fabei), boils, and malignant throat conditions. If blood stasis and yin toxin are trapped inside, there will be no pain; applying the dregs will induce pain. If there is heat toxin, there will be pain; applying the dregs will relieve pain. If heat is extreme such that the hand cannot approach the area, applying the dregs will bring immediate coolness. If qi deficiency and cold cause ulceration without healing, applying the dregs will promote contraction and healing.
[Epimedii Folium (Yinyanghuo)]
Indications: Promotes urination, boosts qi and strength, tonifies waist and knees, strongly augments yang. Contraindicated in cases of yin deficiency with seminal emission or excessive yang erection without flaccidity.
Xianlingpi Jiu (Epimedii Wine): Epimedii Folium 1 jin, soaked in 1 dou of wine, then taken. Warms the waist and knees, stimulates yang.
[Scrophulariae Radix (Xuanshen)]
Indications: Descends fire, resolves all types of swelling and toxicity, nourishes yin and benefits the throat, promotes urination.
Xuanshen San (Scrophulariae Powder): Scrophulariae Radix (Xuanshen), Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Shengma), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Duhuo), Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong, heart removed), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai), Rheii Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang, stir-fried), Gardeniae Fructus (Zhizi Ren), Peucedani Radix (Qianhu), Rhinocerotis Cornu (Xijiao), and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, honey-fried), equal parts. Grind into powder. Take 5 qian per dose, add one zhan of water, decoct until 5 fen remains. Take warm at any time. Treats mouth and tongue ulcers, and rotting/painful gums.
Another prescription: Xuanshen and raw Gancao, each 5 qian; Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao) 2 liang; Maidong (heart removed) 7 qian 5 fen; Qianhu, Zhi Shi (bran-fried), Renshen, Chi Shao, Chi Fuling, Chuanxiong, Sheng Gan Dihuang, Huangqin, each 1 liang. Grind into powder. Take 4 qian per dose, add one zhong of water, add 27 leaves of Zhuye and 100 grains of Xiaomai, decoct until 6 fen remains, strain. Take warm at any time. Treats fever from carbuncles and sores, intense toxicity, alternating chills and fever, vexation, and pain in the four limbs.
Xuanshen Shengma Tang (Scrophulariae and Cimicifuga Decoction): Xuanshen, Shengma, Xijiao, Chi Shao, Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng), Cyathulae Root? No, Consolidae Herba (Guanzhong), Huangqin, Gancao, equal parts. Grind into powder. Take 4 qian per dose, add 1.5 zhan of water, decoct until 7 fen remains, strain. Take at any time. Treats heat accumulation in Heart and Spleen, tongue ulcers, "water tongue" (swollen tongue resembling water-filled sac), swollen tongue, or swelling and pain extending to cheeks and neck.
Xuanshen Yin (Scrophulariae Drink): Xuanshen, Han Fangji, Shengma, Antelopis Cornu (Lingyangjiao, ground to powder), Adenophorae Radix (Shashen), Plantaginis Semen (Cheqianzi), Zhizi (stir-fried), Mori Cortex (Sangbaipi), Dahuang (lightly stir-fried), Cannabis Fructus (Huomaren), Apricot Seed (Xingren, remove double kernels, skins, tips, bran-fried until slightly yellow), equal parts. Add 2 bowls of water, decoct until 8 fen remains, strain, take hot. Treats eye swelling resembling a fish bladder.
Xuanshen Qingfei Yin (Scrophulariae Lung-Clearing Drink): Xuanshen, Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu), Jiegeng, Chenpi, Cortex Lycii (Digupi), Fuling, Maidong, Coicis Semen (Yiren), Renshen, Gancao, Arecae Semen (Binglang). Grind into powder. Mix with one small zhan of child's urine and take. Treats lung萎 (fever/atrophy) with expectoration of pus.
