耳疳疮。一切恶疮。
麋茸角制成的胶和霜，其功效与鹿茸角大致相同。
麋角丸：麋角一对（炙烤至黄后单独捣碎取净末二两），槟榔、通草、秦艽、人参、菟丝子（酒浸后单独捣碎）、肉苁蓉（酒浸）、甘草各二两。先将麋角和槟榔共同煎煮约一顿饭的时间，呈稀粥状。稍待热气消散，投入各药末搅拌使其混合均匀。再稍等片刻，待药液逐渐变稠且粘稠可制成丸剂时，将其制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次空腹用温酒送服三十丸。每日增加一丸，直至五十丸为限度，早晚分两次服用。忌房事。此方能填补精气、安神定志、明目黑发。患有气滞者，加枳实、木香各一两。
二至丸：将麋角镑成细片，用酥油二两、米醋一升煮干，再用慢火炒至取半两。将鹿角镑成细片，用酥油一两、无灰酒一升，慢火炒干，取四两。苍耳子（酒浸一夜后焙干）八两，山药、白茯苓（炙）各四两，当归（酒浸后焙干）五两，肉苁蓉（酒浸后焙干）、远志、人参、沉香各二两，熟附子一两。研成细末，用酒煮糯米糊作为粘合剂制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次服用五十丸，温酒或淡盐汤送服均可，每日两次。此方能生成精血，补益虚损，强壮筋骨。
麝香生于牡麝的脐部，主治通窍，开通经络，透达肌理，安神定志，催产易产。用于中恶、霍乱、惊痫、瘴疠、中风不省人事、风痰、痰厥、各种气病、各种血病、偏正头痛、目翳耳聋、心腹暴痛痞满、症瘕、积聚、痔肿、小便不禁、难产、坠胎、死胎不下、治疗痈疽、破伤风、蛇虫鼠咬伤、解蛊毒、酒毒、沙虫及溪涧瘴气之毒。
麝苏丸：麝香（单独研磨，不经火）七钱五分，苏合香油五钱（以白色者为佳，需加入安息香膏内），安息香一两（单独研磨使用，用无灰酒五合熬成膏），丁香、青木香、白檀香、沉香（单独研磨）、荜茇、香附、诃黎勒（煨后取肉）、乌犀角屑、朱砂（研磨后水飞）各一两，薰陆香五钱。研成细末，用安息香膏和蜂蜜制成如芡实大小的丸剂。老人每次服用四丸，小儿服用一丸，空腹用滚开水或温酒送服。治疗胸膈寒噎、肠中虚鸣、霍乱吐泻、突然发作的心痛、赤白暴痢、传尸骨蒸、各类劳瘵、妇人惊痫、小儿惊搐。
麝香蟾酥丸：麝香少许，蟾酥、轻粉、乳香各五分，砒石、雄黄各一钱，巴豆十个（去皮去油），寒水石三钱。研成细末，滴水搓作条状，用寒食面糊制成如小麦粒大小的丸剂。若遇一切痈疽发背疔疮等内毒，未溃破者，用针刺破患处，捻一丸贴在膏药上，即可溃破。
麝香天麻丸：麝香（单独研磨）二钱，天麻（酒浸）、防风、川芎各一两，甘菊花七钱五分，天南星一枚（重一两者，先用白矾汤浸泡清洗七次，然后用水煮软，切片焙干）。研成细末，用蜂蜜制成如鸡头实大小的丸剂。每次服用一丸，不拘时间细细咀嚼，用荆芥汤送服。治疗风痰气厥、头痛目眩。
麝香丹砂丸：麝香（单独研磨）、木香、丁香、犀角、炙甘草各二钱五分，龙脑（单独研磨）一钱，人参、藿香、牛胆南星、防风、黄芩各五钱，麦冬七钱五分，丹砂（单独研磨）一两。研成细末，用蜂蜜制成如鸡头实大小的丸剂。每次服用一丸，饭后细细咀嚼，用荆芥汤送服。治疗痰热导致的咽膈不利、头目昏痛。
麝香丸：麝香、瓜蒂、龙脑、牛黄各一钱，龙胆草、黄连各五钱，木香、蝉蜕各一钱。研成细末，用猪胆汁制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。治疗惊疳或腹泻，每次服用五至七丸至一二十丸，用清米饮送服；眼疳用零肝汤送服；疳渴用猪肉汤送服；惊搐伴眼球上窜，用薄荷汤送服一丸，另取水研化一丸滴入鼻中；牙疳口疮研末贴敷患处；虫痛苦用苦楝根或白芜荑汤送服；百日内小儿大小便不通，用水研化一丸封于脐中；有虫积用干漆、麝香各少许，加入生油一两，点温水化开一大丸服用。慢惊风者勿服。
又一方：麝香（单独研磨）五钱，阿魏二钱五分（用面包裹煨至面熟），五灵脂、桃仁、三棱各七钱五分，芫花（醋炒）、槟榔各一两，蓬莪术、桂心、没药、木香、当归各五钱。研成细末，用粳米饭制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次服用十丸，用淡醋汤送服。治疗妇人癖冷气及疰气引起的心腹痛不可忍受。
又一方：生全蝎二十个，生黑豆二十粒，生地龙五钱，大八角、川乌三枚（生用）。研成细末，加入麝香一字同研，用糯米糊制成绿豆大小的丸剂。每次服用七丸，重症者十丸，夜间卧时隔空用温酒送服，微微出冷汗即愈。治疗白虎历节风痛游走不定，白天安静夜晚加剧，以及一切手足突发疼痛。
又一方：麝香一钱，木香、胡椒各一两，全蝎、巴豆霜各四钱。研成细末，用蒸饼制成麻子大小的丸剂，朱砂为衣。每次服用五至七丸，用熟汤送服。治疗膀胱气痛及胁痛癫疝。
麝香丹：黄连一两，半夏五钱，紫苏子（微炒）、五味子各一分，干蟾一枚（酥炙），麝香、芦荟、朱砂（均单独研磨）各一分。研成细末，用枣肉和丸制成黍米大小的丸剂。每次服用五至七丸，用米饮送服。治疗小儿肺疳，皮毛枯燥咳嗽上气。
麝香散：麝香一钱，青黛五钱，黄柏一两，雄黄一分。研成细末，先用绵缠在筷子上，擦去牙齿上的腐肉，拭去恶血，然后干掺药末，日夜五次。治疗小儿走马急疳，口臭齿损，攻蚀唇鼻腮颊。若血盛，加定粉五钱。
又一方：麝香、雄黄、芦荟、白龙骨各一钱，密陀僧二钱，石胆五钱，干蟾一枚（重五钱者，入瓶烧存性）。研成细末，先用绵缠筷子蘸盐矾水洗患处，然后敷药。治疗小儿唇口臭烂，齿龈宣露。
又一方：麝香少许，升麻一钱，黄连、草豆蔻各一钱五分，熟地黄、麻黄各一分，益智仁二分五厘，羊胫骨灰二钱，人参、生地、当归、防己（酒洗）各三分。研成细末，每次用少许擦患处，含漱良久，有涎液吐出则去除。治疗热盛导致的牙龈暴露牙齿松动脱落，剧烈疼痛。
麝香膏：麝香、牛黄、白附子、蚕蛾（微炒）、僵蚕（微炒）各二钱五分，全蝎二十一个。研成细末，用蜂蜜调和成如皂角子大小的膏剂。每次服用一个，用人参荆芥汤化开送服。治疗胎痫不得安卧。
麝香轻粉散：麝香、轻粉各五钱，白矾（飞过）、乳香、没药各一两。研成细末，干贴患处。治疗血疳疮、阴蚀疮、耳疳疮及一切恶疮。
Milei (Elk antler) gel and frost have functions similar to those of deer antlers.
Mijiao Wan (Elk Antler Pill): One pair of elk antlers (roasted until yellow, separately pounded to obtain two taels of pure powder), areca nut, tongcao (Lysimachiae Herba), qinjiao (Gentianae Radix), renshen (Ginseng Radix), tusizi (Cuscutae Semen) (soaked in wine and separately pounded), rongrong (Cistanches Herba) (soaked in wine), and gancao (Licorice Root) each at two taels. First, decoct the elk antler and areca nut together for about the time it takes to eat one meal, until resembling thin porridge. Wait for the heat to dissipate slightly, then add the powders of all other herbs and stir to mix well. Wait a short while longer until the mixture gradually thickens and becomes viscous enough to form pills. Shape into pills the size of Chinese quince seeds. Take thirty pills with warm wine on an empty stomach. Increase by one pill daily up to a maximum of fifty pills, taken twice daily (morning and evening). Avoid sexual intercourse. This formula tonifies essence, calms the spirit, brightens the eyes, and darkens hair. For patients with qi stagnation, add zhishi (Aurantii Fructus) and muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), each one tael.
Erzhi Wan (Two Solstices Pill): Elk antler shaved into fine slices, boiled with two taels of su (animal fat/butter) and one sheng (unit of volume) of rice vinegar until dry, then slowly stir-fried to yield half a tael. Deer antler shaved into fine slices, boiled with one tael of su and one sheng of wuhui jiu (unadulterated wine) until dry, then yielded four taels. Cang'erzi (Xanthii Fructus) (soaked in wine overnight, then baked) eight taels, shanyao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma) and baifuling (Poria) (roasted) each four taels, danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (soaked in wine and baked) five taels, rongrong (Cistanches Herba) (soaked in wine and baked), yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix), renshen (Ginseng Radix), and chenxiang (Aquilariae Lignum) each two taels, shufuzi (Prepared Aconiti Lateralis Radix) one tael. Grind into powder. Use wine-boiled glutinous rice paste as a binder to form pills the size of Chinese quince seeds. Take fifty pills per dose, with warm wine or light salt water, twice daily. This formula generates essence and blood, tonifies deficiency and damage, and strengthens sinews and bones.
Shexiang (Musk) is produced from the umbilical region of male musk deer. Its indications include unblocking orifices, opening meridians, penetrating tissue layers, calming the spirit, facilitating childbirth, treating zhong'e (sudden collapse due to evil pathogens), huoluan (cholera-like symptoms), jingxian (convulsions and epilepsy), zhangli (miasma diseases), stroke with loss of consciousness, wind-phlegm, phlegm-jue (syncope due to phlegm), various qi disorders, various blood disorders, lateral and frontal headaches, eye cataracts, deafness, sudden abdominal pain and fullness, zhengjia (masses), jiju (accumulations), hemorrhoidal swelling, urinary incontinence, difficult labor, abortion, retained dead fetus, treatment of yongju (carbuncles and sores), po shang feng (tetanus), snake/insect/rat bites, detoxification of gu poison, alcohol poison, sha chong (sandworm) poison, and miasma poison from streams.
Shesu Wan (Musk and Storax Pill): Shexiang (Moscum) (separately ground, not exposed to fire) 7 qian 5 fen, suhe xiangyou (Styrax Oil) 5 qian (white color is preferred, added to anxiang gao/Styrax Paste), anxiang (Styrax) 1 liang (separately ground, boiled with 5 he of wuhui jiu to make paste), dingxiang (Caryophylli Flos), qingmuxiang (Tasmanniae Radix), baitanxiang (Santalum Album Lignum), chenxiang (Aquilariae Lignum) (separately ground), bibo (Long Pepper Fruit), xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma), helile (Terminalia Chebula Retocarpus) (roasted, flesh used), wuxijiao xie (Rhinocerotis Cornu) (shavings), zhusha (Cinnabar) (ground and floated in water) each 1 liang, xunluxiang (Olibanum) 5 qian. Grind into powder. Mix with anxiang paste and honey to form pills the size of euryale seeds. Elderly take 4 pills per dose, children take 1 pill. Take on an empty stomach with boiling water or warm wine. Treats chest/diaphragm cold obstruction, intestinal rumbling, cholera vomiting/diarrhea, sudden severe heart pain, acute dysentery with red/white discharge, chronic consumption with bone-steaming fever, various consumptive diseases, women's convulsions/epilepsy, and pediatric convulsions.
Shexiang Chansu Wan (Musk and Toad Venom Pill): A small amount of shexiang (Moscum), chansu (Bufonis Venenum), qingfen (Calomelas), ruxiang (Olibanum) each 5 fen, pi (Arsenic Trioxide), xionghuang (Realgar) each 1 qian, badou (Crotonis Fructus) 10 kernels (skin and oil removed), hanshuishi (Calcitum) 3 qian. Grind into powder. Add drops of water to roll into sticks, bind with hanshi mianhu (Cold Food Noodle Paste) to form pills the size of wheat grains. For any carbuncle, back abscess, or dingchuang (furuncle) with internal toxin not yet ulcerated: puncture with a needle, apply one pill on a plaster. It will promptly ulcerate.
Shexiang Tianma Wan (Musk and Gastrodia Pill): Shexiang (Moscum) (separately ground) 2 qian, tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma) (soaked in wine), fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma) each 1 liang, ganjuhua (Chrysanthemi Flos) 7 qian 5 fen, tian nanxing (Arisomatis Rhizoma) 1 piece (weighing 1 liang: first soak and wash seven times in bai fan tang (alum water), then boil until soft, slice, and bake dry). Grind into powder. Bind with honey to form pills the size of a cock's testicle. Take one pill per dose, chew thoroughly at any time, swallow with Jingjie Tang (Schizonepeta Decoction). Treats wind-phlegm and qi-jue, headache, dizziness.
Shexiang Dansha Wan (Musk and Cinnabar Pill): Shexiang (Moscum) (separately ground), muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), dingxiang (Caryophylli Flos), xijiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu), zhigancao (Prepared Licorice Root) each 2 qian 5 fen, longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum) (separately ground) 1 qian, renshen (Ginseng Radix), huoxiang (Pogostemonis Herba), niudan nanting (Prepared Arisaema with Bovis Calculus), fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) each 5 qian, maidong (Ophiopogonis Tuber) 7 qian 5 fen, dansha (Cinnabar) (separately ground) 1 liang. Grind into powder. Bind with honey to form pills the size of a cock's testicle. Take one pill per dose after meals, chew thoroughly, swallow with Jingjie Tang (Schizonepeta Decoction). Treats phlegm-heat causing throat/diaphragm obstruction, dizziness and headache.
Shexiang Wan (Musk Pill): Shexiang (Moscum), goudi (Momordicae Fructus), longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum), niuhuang (Bovis Calculus) each 1 qian, longdancao (Gentianae Radix), huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) each 5 qian, muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), chantui (Cicadae Periostracum) each 1 qian. Grind into powder. Bind with pig bile to form pills the size of Chinese quince seeds. For jingjing (pediatric convulsive disease due to malnutrition) or diarrhea: take 5-7 to 10-20 pills, swallow with clear rice drink. For eye jing: swallow with Linggan Tang. For jing ke (thirst due to jing): swallow with pork soup. For convulsions with upward rolling of eyes: swallow one pill with mint tea, and additionally dissolve one pill in water to drip into the nose. For ya jing (gum jing) and mouth ulcers: grind and apply locally. For worm pain: swallow with Kuchgen (Toosendan Fructus) or Bai Wuyi (Meliosmae Fructus) decoction. For infants under 100 days with constipation/diuresis issues: dissolve one pill in water and seal on the umbilicus. For worms: add a small amount of ganqi (Dammar Resin) and shexiang, mix with 1 liang of raw sesame oil, dissolve one large pill in warm water and swallow. Do not use for slow jing.
Another prescription: Shexiang (Moscum) (separately ground) 5 qian, awei (Ferulae Resina) 2 qian 5 fen (wrapped in dough and roasted until dough is cooked), wulingzhi (Trogopterori Faeces), taoren (Persicae Semen), sanleng (Sparganii Rhizoma) each 7 qian 5 fen, yuanhua (Genkwa Flos) (stir-fried with vinegar), binglang (Arecae Semen) each 1 liang, peng'e zhu (Curcumae Zedoariae Rhizoma), guixin (Cinnamomi Ramulus), moyao (Myrrha), muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) each 5 qian. Grind into powder. Bind with steamed japonica rice to form pills the size of Chinese quince seeds. Take 10 pills per dose with light vinegar water. Treats female pi cold qi and zhu qi causing unbearable heart/abdominal pain.
Another prescription: Sheng quanxie (Scorpio) 20 pieces, sheng heidou (Black Soybean) 20 grains, sheng dilong (Pheretima) 5 qian, da bajiao (Illicium Verum) 3 pieces, chuanwu (Aconiti Radix) 3 pieces (used raw). Grind into powder, add shexiang (Moscum) "yi zi" (approx. 0.3-0.5 g) and grind together. Bind with glutinous rice paste to form pills the size of mung beans. Take 7 pills per dose, 10 for severe cases. Take at night before sleep with warm wine administered via the diaphragm (not directly swallowing?). Mild sweating of cold sweat indicates recovery. Treats Baihu Lijie Feng (painful bi syndrome with wandering pain, quiet during day, worse at night) and all sudden extremity pains.
Another prescription: Shexiang (Moscum) 1 qian, muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), hujiao (Piperis Longi Fructus) each 1 liang, quanxie (Scorpio), badou shuang (Crotonis Fructus Pulvis) each 4 qian. Grind into powder. Bind with steamed cake to form pills the size of hemp seeds, coat with zhusha (Cinnabar). Take 5-7 pills per dose with cooked water. Treats bladder qi pain and hypochondriac pain with dian shan (hernia).
Shexiang Dan (Musk Pellet): Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) 1 liang, banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) 5 qian, zisu zi (Perillae Fructus) (lightly stir-fried), wuweizi (Schisandrae Fructus) each 1 fen, gan chan (Bufo Skin) 1 piece (roasted with su), shexiang (Moscum), luhui (Aloe), zhusha (Cinnabar) (all separately ground) each 1 fen. Grind into powder. Bind with jujube pulp to form pellets the size of millet grains. Take 5-7 pellets per dose with rice drink. Treats pediatric lung jing, dry skin/hair, cough with rebellious qi.
Shexiang San (Musk Powder): Shexiang (Moscum) 1 qian, qingdai (Indigo Naturalis) 5 qian, huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex) 1 liang, xionghuang (Realgar) 1 fen. Grind into powder. First wrap cotton around a chopstick, wipe away rotten flesh on teeth, wipe away foul blood, then sprinkle dry powder. Apply 5 times day and night. Treats pediatric zouma ji jing (rapid gangrenous caries), bad breath, tooth decay, erosion of lips/nose/cheeks. If bleeding is heavy, add dingfen (Lead Carbonate) 5 qian.
Another prescription: Shexiang (Moscum), xionghuang (Realgar), luhui (Aloe), bailonggu (Fossil Bones) each 1 qian, miduoseng (Litharge) 2 qian, shidan (Melichrysoli Collyrium) 5 qian, gan chan (Bufo Skin) 1 piece (weighing 5 qian, burned in a bottle to retain nature). Grind into powder. First wrap cotton around a chopstick, dip in salt/alum water to wash the lesion, then apply. Treats pediatric lip/mouth ulcers, receding gums.
Another prescription: Shexiang (Moscum) a small amount, shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) 1 qian, huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), caodoukou (Alpiniae Oxyphyllae Fructus) each 1 qian 5 fen, shudi (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata), mahuang (Ephedrae Herba) each 1 fen, yizhiren (Alpiniae Oxyphyllae Semen) 2 fen 5 li, yangjinggu hui (Ash of Tibia Sheep) 2 qian, renshen (Ginseng Radix), shengdi (Rehmanniae Radix), danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), fangji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix) (washed in wine) each 3 fen. Grind into powder. Apply a small amount to the lesion, hold in mouth for a long time, spit out saliva. Treats severe heat causing gum recession, loose teeth, severe pain.
Shexiang Gao (Musk Plaster/Paste): Shexiang (Moscum), niuhuang (Bovis Calculus), baifuzi (Typhonii Rhizoma), cane (Silkworm) (lightly stir-fried), jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus) (lightly stir-fried) each 2 qian 5 fen, quanxie (Scorpio) 21 pieces. Grind into powder, mix with honey to form a paste the size of soap pod. Take one piece per dose, dissolve in Renshen Jingjie Tang (Ginseng and Schizonepeta Decoction). Treats tai xian (fetal epilepsy) preventing restful sleep.
Shexiang Qingfen San (Musk and Calomelas Powder): Shexiang (Moscum), qingfen (Calomelas) each 5 qian, bai fan (Alumen) (purified), ruxiang (Olibanum), moyao (Myrrha) each 1 liang. Grind into powder. Apply dry. Treats xue jing chuang (blood jing sores), yin shi chuang (genital erosion sores), er jing chuang (ear jing sores), and all malignant sores.
