再将脑片研匀。小罐密收。用时先以艾炷灸患处七壮。起泡。以小针挑破。取药一二厘唾调
成饼。贴灸顶上。用棉纸浓封核块勿泄气。七日后四边裂缝。再七日核落。再敷红玉膏。内
服补药。治瘰 痰核。乳岩日久坚核不消。惟马刀根大面小。及失荣等症忌用。（附）红玉

乳香没药（均另研）各二两。蓖麻子仁四百粒木鳖子（去壳）二两四钱。当归四两。血余五

嫩者）
一斤四两。先将麻油同柳枝当归血余熬数滚。绞去滓。将油同芸香蓖麻木鳖熬熟绞去滓。入
黄白蜡将成膏。入黄丹。离火下乳没儿竭末。搅匀成膏。每用少许贴患处。治痈疽瘰 乳痈。
梅花冰片（即龙脑香，一种从龙脑香树中提取的结晶）的主要功效是：疏散火邪、通利孔窍、明目、镇心安神。用于治疗痰浊蒙蔽心窍、惊风癫痫、骨痛、头痛、耳聋、目赤肿痛、齿痛、伤寒病中出现的舌体伸出不收（研成粉末外掺）、喉痹以及大肠脱出、五种痔疮、妇女难产。（现代人多用樟脑溶解于酒精中，加入钠制成，其功效与天然产物相同。）
龙脑安神丸：由龙脑、麝香、牛黄（均另研细粉）各三钱；犀角屑、茯神、麦冬、人参、朱砂（水飞法处理）各二两；金箔三十五片；马牙硝二钱；炙甘草、地骨皮、桑白皮（炒制）各一两组成。将上述药材研为细末，用蜂蜜炼制成如弹子大小的蜜丸，外用金箔包裹。主治风痫日久不愈。冬季用温水化开送服，夏季用凉水化开送服。若病程已两三年，每日服用三次。小儿一丸分两次服用。对于虚劳发热、气喘咳嗽者，用新汲取的冷开水送服。对于言语涩滞、舌体强硬者，饭后用温凉开水送服，每日三次。
龙脑散：由龙脑五分、瓜蒂十四枚、赤小豆三十粒、黄连三大茎组成。研为细末。每次取绿豆大小药粉，临睡前吹入鼻腔。用于治疗小儿鼻息肉。
龙脑膏：由龙脑一钱二分、椒目五钱、杏仁二钱五分组成。研为细末。每次取枣核大小药团，用棉絮包裹塞入耳中，每日更换两次。用于治疗耳聋。
又一方：龙脑一钱，黄连八两。先将黄连切碎，加水三大碗，放入瓷器内，用文武火缓慢熬煮至剩大半碗时，滤去药渣。换用薄瓷碗，隔水炖煮浓缩成约半盏膏状。使用时，用筷子头蘸取药膏点入眼中。用于治疗目中血脉怒张、眼屎多及一切眼痛。
冰玉散：由冰片八分、人中白、黄柏、蒲黄各一钱、薄荷叶、黄连各一钱五分、甘草、青黛、硼砂、朴硝各五分、枯矾少许组成。研为细末。既可内吹也可外敷。用于治疗丹毒、咽喉肿痛。
冰瓜雄朱散：由冰片一钱、西瓜霜二两、雄精三分、朱砂二钱、犀牛黄三分、人中白（煅）一钱组成。研为细末，频繁吹入患处。用于治疗白喉。若非白喉病症，则去掉雄精。
冰白散：由冰片五分、人中白五钱、儿茶、鸡内金（焙干）各五钱、甘草一钱、玄明粉五分组成。研为细末吹入患处。用于治疗疫喉腐烂严重之症。
冰梅上清丸：由冰片一钱、百药煎八两、玄明粉、西砂仁、薄荷、白桔梗、生甘草各一两、诃子肉、月石（芒硝）、柿霜各二两组成。研为细末，用蜂蜜炼制成每重五分的蜜丸，阴干。临睡前含化。用于治疗心肝蕴热导致的口舌生疮、咽喉红肿。
冰蛳散：由冰片二分、大田螺肉五枚（去壳，用线穿起晒干）、白砒一钱二分（用面裹住煨熟，去掉面皮不用）、番硇砂二分组成。先将螺肉切片，同白砒研细。再将龙脑片研匀。装入小罐中密封保存。使用时，先用艾炷在患处灸七壮，待起泡后，用小针挑破，取药一二厘，用唾液调成饼状，贴敷在灸过的顶部。用厚棉纸严密封固，防止漏气。七日后四周出现裂缝，再过七日硬结脱落。之后再敷红玉膏。同时内服补益药物。用于治疗瘰疬痰核、乳岩日久形成的坚硬肿块不消，以及马刀侠瘿（根大头小）和失荣等症忌用此方。
（附方）红玉膏：由乳香、没药（均另研细粉）各二两；蓖麻子仁四百粒、木鳖子（去壳）二两四钱、当归四两、血余五钱；儿茶、血竭、白蜡、黄蜡各一钱；柳枝（嫩者打碎）一两、黄丹（水飞）四两、麻油八两、芸香（白嫩者）一斤四两组成。先将麻油同柳枝、当归、血余熬煮数滚，绞去药渣。将油同芸香、蓖麻、木鳖子熬熟，绞去药渣。加入黄蜡和白蜡，待即将成膏时，加入黄丹。离火后加入乳香、没药、儿茶、血竭的细末，搅拌均匀成膏。每次取少许贴敷患处。用于治疗痈疽、瘰疬、乳痈。
Plum Blossom Borneol (Longnao Xiang, a crystalline substance extracted from the tree of *Dryobalanops aromatica*) primarily treats: dispersing fire, unblocking orifices, improving vision, calming the heart and spirit. It is indicated for phlegm confusing the mind, convulsions and epilepsy, bone pain, headache, deafness, red eyes, toothache, tongue protrusion in Shanghan disease (apply powder externally), throat obstruction (hou bi), prolapse of the large intestine, five types of hemorrhoids, and difficult labor in women. (Modern people often dissolve camphor in alcohol and add sodium to produce it; its efficacy is the same as that of natural products.)
Long'an Anshen Wan (Dragon Brain Calming Spirit Pill): Consists of Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum), Shexiang (Moschus), Niuhuang (Calculus Bovis) (each separately ground into fine powder) 3 qian; Xijiao Xie (Hornis Rhinocerotis), Fushen (Poria with Hostwood), Maidong (Ophiopogonis Radix), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Zhusha (Cinnabaris) (processed by water flotation) each 2 liang; Jinbo (Folium Aurum) 35 pieces; Mayaxiao (Natrii Sulfas) 2 qian; Zhi Gancao (Prepared Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Digupi (Phellodendri Cortex), Sangbaipi (Mori Cortex) (stir-fried) each 1 liang. Grind all ingredients into fine powder, mix with honey to form pills the size of bullet seeds, coated with gold foil. Indicated for wind-epilepsy persisting for many years. In winter, dissolve in warm water before administration; in summer, dissolve in cool water. If the disease has persisted for two to three years, administer three times daily. For children, divide one pill into two doses. For deficiency consumption with fever, wheezing, and coughing, administer with newly drawn cold water. For speech impediment and stiff tongue, administer with warm-cooled water after meals, three times daily.
Longnao San (Dragon Brain Powder): Consists of Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum) 5 fen, Gouti (Cucumeris Fructus) 14 pieces, Chixiaodou (Vigna Semen Rubrum) 30 grains, Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) 3 large stems. Grind into fine powder. Each time, take an amount the size of a mung bean, blow into the nostrils before bedtime. Indicated for pediatric nasal polyps.
Longnao Gao (Dragon Brain Ointment): Consists of Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum) 1.2 qian, Jiaomu (Zanthoxyli Semen) 5 qian, Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum) 2.5 qian. Grind into fine powder. Each time, take an amount the size of a jujube pit, wrap in cotton, and insert into the ear. Change twice daily. Indicated for deafness.
Another Prescription: Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum) 1 qian, Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) 8 liang. First, chop Huanglian finely, add 3 large bowls of water, place in a porcelain vessel, and slowly simmer over mild and strong heat until half a bowl remains. Filter out the dregs. Transfer to a thin porcelain bowl and steam over boiling water until reduced to approximately half a cup of ointment. When using, dip the tip of a chopstick into the ointment and apply to the eyes. Indicated for distended blood vessels in the eyes, excessive eye discharge, and all types of eye pain.
Bingyu San (Ice Jade Powder): Consists of Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum) 8 fen, Renzhongbai (Urinae Hominis Calcined), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex), Puhuang (Typhae Pollen) each 1 qian; Boheye (Menthae Haplocalycis Folium), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) each 1.5 qian; Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Qingdai (Indici Folium), Pengsha (Borax), Paxiao (Natrii Sulfas) each 5 fen; Kufan (Alumen Exsiccatum) a small amount. Grind into fine powder. Can be blown internally or applied externally. Indicated for erysipelas and throat swelling.
Binggu Xiongzhu San (Ice Melon Realgar Cinnabar Powder): Consists of Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum) 1 qian, Xiguashuang (Citrulli Pericarpium Gelidum) 2 liang, Xiongjing (Realgar) 3 fen, Zhusha (Cinnabaris) 2 qian, Xiuniuhuang (Calculus Bovis) 3 fen, Renzhongbai (Urinae Hominis Calcined) (calcined) 1 qian. Grind into fine powder and blow frequently into the affected area. Indicated for diphtheria. For non-diphtheria conditions, remove Xiongjing (Realgar).
Bingbai San (Ice White Powder): Consists of Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum) 5 fen, Renzhongbai (Urinae Hominis Calcined) 5 qian, Ercha (Camelliae Seed Extract), Jineijin (Galli Gigerii Endothelium Corneum) (baked) each 5 qian; Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) 1 qian, Xuanmingfen (Natrii Sulfas Exsiccatus) 5 fen. Grind into fine powder and blow into the affected area. Indicated for severe ulceration in epidemic throat diseases.
Bingmei Shangqing Wan (Ice Plum Clearing Upper Pill): Consists of Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum) 1 qian, Baiyaojian (Fermented Medicinal Brew) 8 liang, Xuanmingfen (Natrii Sulfas Exsiccatus), Xisharen (Amomi Fructus Rotundus), Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba), Baijiegie (Platycodonis Radix), Sheng Cao (Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) each 1 liang; Hezi Rou (Terminaliae Chebulae Mesocarp), Yueshi (Margaritum), Shishuang (Diospyros Fructus Frost) each 2 liang. Grind into fine powder, mix with honey to form pills weighing 5 fen each, dry in shade. Hold in mouth and dissolve before bedtime. Indicated for heat accumulation in the heart and liver causing mouth and tongue ulcers, and red and swollen throat.
Bingsi San (Ice Snail Powder): Consists of Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum) 2 fen, Datianluo Rou (Pomacea Canaliculata Meat) 5 pieces (shell removed, threaded and sun-dried), Baipi (Arsenic Trioxide) 1.2 qian (wrapped in flour, baked until cooked, discard flour), Fan Naoshan (Sal Ammoniac) 2 fen. First, slice snail meat and grind finely together with arsenic. Then grind borneol evenly. Store tightly sealed in a small jar. When using, first moxa the affected area with seven moxa cones until blisters form. Puncture the blister with a small needle, take 1-2 li of medicine, mix with saliva to form a cake, and apply to the top of the moxa site. Seal thickly with cotton paper to prevent air leakage. After seven days, cracks will appear around the edges. After another seven days, the nodule will fall off. Subsequently apply Hongyu Gao. Internally administer tonic medicines. Indicated for scrofula and phlegm nodules, long-standing hard nodules in breast cancer that do not resolve, and Ma Dao Xia Ying (scrofula with large root and small head). Contraindicated for Shi Reng (loss of prosperity) and similar conditions.
(Attached Formula) Hongyu Gao (Red Jade Ointment): Consists of Ruxiang (Olibanum), Moyao (Myrrha) (each separately ground) each 2 liang; Bimazi Ren (Ricini Semen) 400 grains, Mubiezi (Strychni Semen) (shelled) 2.4 liang, Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) 4 liang, Xuyuwu (Capillis Humanis Carbonized) 5 qian; Ercha (Camelliae Seed Extract), Xuexie (Dracaenae Sanguis), Baila (Cera Flava), Huangla (Cera Rubra) each 1 qian; Liuzhi (Tali Salicis Tenuifoliae) (tender, broken) 1 liang, Huangdan (Lithargyrum) (water-flown) 4 liang, Mayou (Sesami Oleum) 8 liang, Yunxiang (Rutae Fructus) (white and tender) 1 jin 4 liang. First, boil Mayou (Sesami Oleum) with Liuzhi (Tali Salicis Tenuifoliae), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), and Xuyuwu (Capillis Humanis Carbonized) for several boils, then strain to remove dregs. Boil the oil with Yunxiang (Rutae Fructus), Bimazi (Ricini Semen), and Mubiezi (Strychni Semen) until cooked, then strain to remove dregs. Add Baila (Cera Flava) and Huangla (Cera Rubra) to form the base. Add Huangdan (Lithargyrum). Remove from fire and add fine powders of Ruxiang (Olibanum), Moyao (Myrrha), Ercha (Camelliae Seed Extract), and Xuexie (Dracaenae Sanguis). Stir uniformly to form the ointment. Apply a small amount to the affected area. Indicated for carbuncles, sores, scrofula, and mastitis.
