【上吊死】半夏：对于五种绝症（指上吊、溺亡、压死、冻死、惊死）患者，只要心口尚有余温的，将半夏研成细末吹入鼻腔，均可救活。皂荚末：对于五种绝症患者，吹入耳鼻中。梁上尘：对于五种绝症患者，吹入耳、鼻中。葱心：对于五种绝症患者，用葱心刺入耳鼻，使其出血，即可痊愈。蓝汁：用于上吊死者，灌服。鸡冠血：对于上吊死者，慢慢抱住尸体，解开绳索，切勿割断绳子，让患者仰卧，紧紧拉扯头发，一人按摩其胸胁部，另一人屈曲其手臂及小腿胫骨，待其气息恢复，刺破皮肤取血滴入口中，即可复活。或者饮用桂枝汤也可以。鸡屎白：对于上吊死者，若心下仍有温度，用酒送服如枣核大小的量。
【溺水死】皂荚：吹入耳鼻，并用棉团包裹纳入下部阴窍，排出积水后即可复活。梁上尘也可以使用。食盐：溺水者，放置在长凳上，垫高其后脚，用盐擦拭肚脐中央，待体内积水流出。只要心口尚有余温的，都能救活。锻石：包裹并纳入下部阴窍，以排出积水。灶灰：将患者埋入灶灰中，露出头部行走（此处原文可能有误，通常指覆盖或特定处理），以排出积水。
