[Enlightenment] Shizhen said: According to Wang Qiu's "Baiyi Xuanfang": A person opened a steamer, and the hot steam scalded their face, causing swelling and closed eyes. A physician, using his own judgment, took cloth used for cooking for a long time, burned it to retain its nature, ground it into powder, and applied it; the swelling subsided as it was applied. This is likely because this object absorbs much steam energy, thus using it to draw out the steam toxin. It is similar to how salt water takes its salty flavor, following the principle of mutual resonance by similarity.
