升降真火，于本方去龙齿，加酸枣仁、当归、朱砂。
辰砂妙香散，治梦中遗精，每服一匕，虚者温酒调，热者麦门冬去心浓煎汤调。（《得效》）（方见《惊悸》中。）
神者，精气之室也，神以御气，气以摄精，故人寤则神栖干心，寐则神栖于肾。心肾，神之舍也，昼之所为，
夜之所梦，男子梦交而精泄，女子梦交而精出，是皆不知清心寡欲之道者也。斯人也，神不守舍，从欲而动，昼
有所感，夜梦随之，心不摄念，神不摄精，久而不已，遂成虚损，以镇神锁精丹主之。

得，亦可用此。）洁古珍珠粉丸，治白淫梦遗，用黄柏、蛤粉。（或有珍珠；或无珍珠，有青黛；并出典，可考。）

调中方法 凡病精泄不禁，自汗头眩虚极，或寒或热，用补涩之药不效，其脉浮软而散，盖非虚也，亦
非房室过度，此无他，因有所睹，心有所慕，意有所乐，欲想方兴，不遂所欲，而致斯疾。既以药补且固不效，
将何治之？缘心有爱则神不归，意有想则志不宁，当先和荣卫，荣卫和则心安，次调其脾，脾气和则志舍，定心
肾交媾，精神内守，其病自愈。其法用人参三钱，当归一钱洗，焙为末，作三服，糯米饮调下。服毕，自汗止而
寒热退，头眩未除，川芎三钱，人参一钱，焙为末，作三服，沸汤调服。头眩遂瘥，精不禁者，用白芍药半两，
丁香三钱，木香三钱，锉散，每服用生姜五片，枣二枚煎，空心服，即心安神定，精固神悦。（《得效》）（按∶
《治病活法秘方》同。）
遗精方，梦泄白浊者，平胃散煎熟，入少龙骨末，空心服。（《琐碎录》）《经验良方》治血淋，因虚损得之。
益心丹，用于治疗心气不足，梦中遗精泄出。

以上药物研成细末，用炼过的蜂蜜制成丸药，大小如梧桐子，每次服用三十丸，用白开水送服，不限时间。（出自《魏氏家藏方》）另外有一种养心丹，能宁心安神、定志，调节真火的升降，在本方基础上去掉龙齿，加入酸枣仁、当归、朱砂。
辰砂妙香散，用于治疗梦中遗精，每次服用一匕（古代量词，约指一勺或特定剂量），体质虚弱者用温酒调服，有热象者用去心的麦门冬浓煎汤调服。（出自《太平惠民和剂局方·得效方》）（该方详见《惊悸》章节中。）
神，是精气居住的处所。神主宰气，气固摄精。所以人清醒时，神栖息于心；睡眠时，神栖息于肾。心和肾，是神的居所。白天所做之事，夜晚所梦之景，男子梦中交合而精液泄出，女子梦中交合而精液流出，这都是因为不懂得清心寡欲的道理。这样的人，神不守舍，顺从欲望而动，白天有所感触，夜晚梦境随之产生，心不能控制念头，神不能固摄精液，时间久了不停止，最终形成虚损病症，用镇神锁精丹来主治。
人参 白茯神 远志（甘草水煮后去除心部） 柏子仁 酸枣仁 石菖蒲（去除毛刺，各一两） 白龙骨（另研） 牡蛎（各一两五钱） 辰砂（水飞法处理五钱，留一钱作为包衣）
以上共同研成细末，用炼蜜制成丸药，大小如弹子，每次服用一丸，用枣汤送服。（出自《寿世保元》）
治疗经络有热，梦中遗精漏泄，心悸恍惚，胸膈发热，用清心丸。
优质黄柏皮一两研成细末，用生冰片一钱同研均匀，炼蜜制成丸药如梧桐子大，每次服用十丸至十五丸，用浓煎的麦门冬汤送服。这是大智禅师的方子。梦遗不能全部当作虚寒证治疗，也有因经络有热而导致的。（出自《本事方》）（按：《要诀》引用此文说：由此可以看出赤浊也有因热而得的，也可以用此方。）洁古珍珠粉丸，治疗白淫梦遗，使用黄柏、蛤粉。（有的加珍珠；有的不加珍珠，加青黛；出处均可考证。）

黄连清心饮，治疗心中有所爱慕而导致遗精的。

调中方法 凡是出现精液滑泄不禁，自汗、头晕、极度虚弱，或怕冷或发热，使用补益固涩的药物无效，脉象浮软而散，这并非单纯的虚证，也不是房事过度所致，这没有别的原因，是因为目睹了某些事物，心中有所爱慕，意念有所快乐，欲望刚刚兴起，未能满足欲望，从而导致这种疾病。既然用药补益且固涩无效，那该如何治疗？因为心有喜爱则神不归位，意有想念则志不宁静，应当先调和营卫，营卫调和则心安，其次调理脾胃，脾气调和则志舍安定，使心肾相交，精神内守，病自然痊愈。其方法是用人参三钱，当归一钱（洗净，焙干）研成细末，分成三次服用，用糯米饮调下。服完后，自汗停止，寒热退去，如果头晕未除，用川芎三钱，人参一钱，焙干研成细末，分成三次服用，用沸水调服。头晕随即痊愈，对于精液滑泄不禁者，用白芍药半两，丁香三钱，木香三钱，锉碎成散剂，每次服用用生姜五片，大枣二枚煎煮，空腹服用，即可心安神定，精关固摄，精神愉悦。（出自《太平惠民和剂局方·得效方》）（按：《治病活法秘方》内容相同。）
遗精方，对于梦遗伴有白浊者，将平胃散煎熟，加入少量龙骨末，空腹服用。（出自《琐碎录》）《经验良方》治疗血淋，因虚损而得。
Yixin Dan (Heart-Nourishing Pill) is used to treat insufficiency of Heart Qi, characterized by seminal emission during dreams.
Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix, honey-fried), Fushen (Poria with Hostwood, woody part removed), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, radix removed), Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix, boiled in water and heart removed), Shu Dihuang (Prepared Rehmanniae Radix, each 1 liang, washed), Bei Wuweizi (Schisandrae Fructus, 2 liang).
Longchi (Dragon's Teeth, ground separately), Baiziren (Platycladi Semen, each half liang, ground separately).
The above are ground into fine powder, mixed with refined honey to form pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 30 pills per dose, swallowed with clear warm water, at any time. (From *Wei Shi*) Another variation, Yangxin Dan (Nourishing Heart Pill), calms the mind and stabilizes the will, regulating the ascending and descending of True Fire. It is based on the above formula but removes Longchi (Dragon's Teeth) and adds Suanzaoren (Zizyphi Semen), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), and Zhusha (Cinnabar).
Chensha Miaoxiang San (Cinnabar Wondrous Fragrance Powder) treats seminal emission during dreams. Take one bi (approximate measure) per dose. For deficiency patterns, mix with warm wine; for heat patterns, mix with strong decoction of Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, heart removed). (From *De Xiao Fang*) (See also under "Palpitations").
Shen (Spirit) is the residence of Jing-Qi (Essence-Qi). Shen governs Qi, and Qi secures Jing. Thus, when awake, Shen resides in the Heart; when asleep, Shen resides in the Kidney. The Heart and Kidney are the abodes of Shen. Actions during the day manifest as dreams at night. When men dream of sexual intercourse and emit semen, or women dream of intercourse and discharge essence, these result from failing to understand the way of clearing the mind and reducing desires. Such individuals have a Spirit that does not abide in its residence, moving according to desires. Daytime impressions follow into nighttime dreams. If the Heart cannot control thoughts and the Spirit cannot secure Essence, prolonged neglect leads to deficiency and damage. This is treated with Zhenshen Suojing Dan (Spirit-Calming and Essence-Locking Pill).
Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Bai Fushen (White Poria with Hostwood), Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix, boiled in Licorice decoction and heart removed), Baiziren (Platycladi Semen), Suanzaoren (Zizyphi Semen), Shichangpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma, hairs removed, each 1 liang), Bai Longgu (White Dragon's Bones, ground separately), Muli (Ostreae Concha, each 1 liang 5 qian), Chensha (Cinnabar, water-triturated, 5 qian total, reserving 1 qian for coating).
All ingredients are ground into powder, mixed with refined honey to form pills the size of a bullet. Take one pill per dose, swallowed with Jujube Decoction. (From *Shou Shi Bao Yuan*)
For heat in the meridians, nocturnal emissions, palpitations with mental confusion, and heat in the chest diaphragm, use Qingxin Wan (Clear Heart Pill).
Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex, high quality, 1 liang) is ground into fine powder. Mix with Sheng Naozi (Borneolum Syntheticum, 1 qian) until uniform. Form pills with refined honey the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 10–15 pills per dose, swallowed with strong Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix) decoction. This is a formula from Chan Master Dazhi. Nocturnal emissions should not all be treated as deficiency-cold; some arise from heat in the meridians. (From *Ben Shi Fang*) (Note: *Yao Jue* cites this text to show that red turbidity can also result from heat and may be treated with this formula.) Jiegu Zhenzhu Fen Wan (Jiegu Pearl Powder Pill) treats white leukorrhea and nocturnal emissions, using Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex) and Gefen (Margaritifer Concha Pulvis). (Some versions include Zhenzhu (Margarita); others do not, using Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis) instead; sources can be verified.)
Da Fengsui Dan (Great Phoenix Marrow Pill).
Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, stir-baked), Mumuling (Polyporus Umbellatus, wood-part), Fuling (Poria), Lianrui (Nelumbinis Plumula), Yizhi (Alpiniae Oxyphyllae Fructus, each 3 qian 5 fen), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex, stir-baked, 2 liang), Suosharen (Amomi Fructus Rotundus, 1 liang), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 5 qian).
Treats manic Heart Fire and excessive Yang, tonifying the deficiency of True Yin in Kidney Water. When the Heart has desires, it is easily stirred, reacting in the Kidney, leading to rapid emission. This formula consolidates True Yuan, descends Heart Fire, and benefits Kidney Water, showing great efficacy.
Zheng Fengsui Dan (Standard Phoenix Marrow Pill).
Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex, 2 liang), Suosha (Amomi Fructus Rotundus, 1 liang), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 5 qian).
Boil the two herbs in wine, boil down to a paste, and form pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 30 pills at empty stomach with warm wine. (From *Yuan Rong*)
Xu Shi Liuling Wan (Xu's Alum-Poria Pill) treats upper heat and lower cold, and nocturnal emissions, with miraculous effects.
Fan Zhi Huhuang (Alum-processed Sulphur, 1 liang), Bai Fuling (White Poria, 2 liang), Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex, each soaked in child's urine, 5 qian).
Grind into powder. Melt 1.5 liang of yellow beeswax and mix with the powder to form pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 50 pills per dose, swallowed with salted water. (From *Yi Xue Ru Men*)
Huanglian Qingxin Yin (Coptis Clear Heart Decoction) treats seminal emission caused by obsessive longing.
Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Shengdi (Rehmanniae Radix Recens), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Fushen (Poria with Hostwood), Suanzaoren (Zizyphi Semen), Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Shilianrou (Nelumbinis Semen Album), Chuanlianzi (Toosendan Fructus).

Shiwei Wendan Tang (Ten-Ingredient Warm Gallbladder Decoction) treats nocturnal emissions with fright and startle.

Method for Regulating the Middle: Whenever there is uncontrollable seminal emission, spontaneous sweating, dizziness, extreme deficiency, alternating chills and fever, and tonifying/astringent medicines fail, while the pulse is floating, soft, and scattered, this is not merely deficiency, nor due to excessive sexual activity. There is no other cause than having seen something, harboring affection in the Heart, joy in intention, where desire arises but is unfulfilled, causing this disease. Since medicinal tonification and astringency are ineffective, how should it be treated? Because love in the Heart prevents the Spirit from returning, and longing in the Intention prevents the Will from being peaceful, one must first harmonize Ying and Wei (Nutritive and Defensive Qi). When Ying and Wei are harmonized, the Heart becomes calm. Then, regulate the Spleen. When Spleen Qi is harmonized, the residence of the Will is stabilized, allowing Heart-Kidney interaction and internal conservation of Jing-Shen (Essence-Spirit), leading to natural recovery. The method uses Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, 3 qian) and Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 1 qian, washed and dried), ground into powder, divided into three doses, taken with Rice Decoction. After finishing, spontaneous sweating stops, and chills/fever recede. If dizziness persists, use Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 3 qian) and Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, 1 qian), dried and ground into powder, divided into three doses, taken with boiling water. Dizziness then resolves. For uncontrollable seminal emission, use Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba, half liang), Dingxiang (Caryophylli Flos, 3 qian), and Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix, 3 qian), coarsely powdered. Each dose is decocted with five slices of fresh ginger and two jujubes, taken on an empty stomach. This calms the Heart, stabilizes the Spirit, secures the essence, and brings joy to the spirit. Formula for Nocturnal Emission: For those with nocturnal emissions accompanied by white turbidity, decoct Pingwei San (Regulate the Stomach Powder), add a small amount of Longgu (Dragon's Bones) powder, and take on an empty stomach.
