This plaster is suitable for symptoms of abdominal distension and swelling. It is appropriate for any condition requiring the unblocking of meridians. ○ The upper part is applied to the heart region. (Because the Heart governs blood.) The middle part is applied to the umbilicus. (Because the Spleen controls blood.) The lower part is applied below the umbilicus. (Because the Liver stores blood.) It can also be applied to the lumbar regions opposite the umbilicus. (The "Meridian-Regulating Powder" consists of Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Fuzi), Cinnamomi Cortex (Rougui), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Corydalis Rhizoma (Yanhu), Trogopterori Faeces (Lingzhi), Curcumae Zedoariae Rhizoma (Pengzhu), Tangerine Peel (Qingpi), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Lingxian), Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong), Paeoniae Radix Alba processed with wine (Jiu Shao), Carthami Flos (Honghua), Linderae Radix (Wuyao), Cyperi Rhizoma (Xiangfu), Atractylodis Rhizoma (Cangzhu), Magnoliae Officinalis Bark (Houpo), Pinelliae Tuber (Banxia), Eugeniae Flos (Dingxiang), Akebiae Caulis (Mutong), Rheum Palmatum Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang), Bombyx Batryticatus processed with vinegar (Can Sha), Evodiae Fructus fried (Wuyu), and Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian) stir-fried with Evodiae Fructus, each 1 qian; Crotonis Fructus (Bashuang) 5 fen.
