Qi and blood fail to circulate, resulting in severe eye pain as if the eyes were protruding, accompanied by frequent aversion to wind and chills. If not treated promptly, dampness will generate parasites over time, which will internally devour the five zang organs, leading to death with a collapsed nose bridge and sunken eyes. (It is advisable to use *Sufeng Shunqi Wan* [Search Wind and Smooth Qi Pill], *Zaoling Dan* [Jujube Spirit Elixir], and *Shenxiao Zhuifeng Wan* [Miraculous Wind-Chasing Pill].)
Water Feng (involving both the Lung and Spleen meridians). This condition arises from pre-existing wind-heat in the Liver. When Liver Wood becomes excessive, it weakens Spleen Earth, causing fluid retention and accumulation that transforms into dampness. Coupled with excessive sexual activity depleting the primordial essence (Zhenyuan), the body loses its ability to control water, leading to overflowing fluids that counter-rebuke Spleen Earth. The dampness obstructs the muscles and limbs, causing swelling and a sensation of chest oppression resembling *Shuigu* (water drum disease). If there is only internal water retention without ulceration, it is because the wind-heat of the Liver and the water-dampness of the Kidney mutually knot together, steaming between the muscles, thus gradually forming blisters. Once punctured, they ulcerate. At this stage, even divine medicines cannot save the patient. (It is advisable to use *Sufeng Shunqi Wan* and *Ruxiang Soufeng Wan* [Frankincense Wind-Searching Pill].)
Yanlai Feng (Goose-coming Feng, involving both the Lung and Kidney meridians). This condition originates from dampness in the Spleen meridian and wind pathogen invasion of the Lungs, where wind and dampness knot together. Since the Lung governs the skin and hair, and the Spleen governs the four limbs, during the desolate autumn season of the eighth lunar month, the hands and feet become dry, exhibiting strange numbness and itching. The appearance resembles corroded tinea, or the skin becomes hard and thick like an ox's neck. There is paralysis and insensitivity; upon breaking, blood and water flow frequently, accompanied by persistent pain. Over time, it spreads throughout the body, causing ulceration that cannot be saved. (It is advisable to use *Qixiao Dan* [Miraculous Effect Elixir] and *Ruxiang Soufeng Wan*.)
Geda Feng (Lump Feng, involving both the Liver and Spleen meridians). This condition is caused by Liver wind and Spleen dampness stirring each other to produce phlegm, which flows and deposits in the collaterals. Initially, it appears within the skin and between the muscles, presenting as clustered nodules connected like branches, with five-colored urticaria. It itches when exposed to heat and hurts when exposed to cold, with alternating chills and fever. Scratching leads to sores. Over time, it becomes mottled and ulcerated. If it involves the Kidney meridian and appears on the toes and soles, presenting as purple-and-white patches, with withered bones and weak legs, it is extremely difficult to treat. (It is advisable to use *Shenxiao Zhuifeng Wan*.)
Jizhao Feng (Chicken Claw Feng, involving the Liver meridian). This condition results from anger injuring the Liver, transforming Qi stagnation into fire. Excessive fire generates wind. Since the Liver governs the sinews, the wind-fire pathogens overflow into the collaterals, blocking the pathways for Qi and blood. Without blood nourishment, the sinews contract. Consequently, the body trembles involuntarily without movement, the hands shake without intent, holding objects becomes impossible, and movement is difficult. If left untreated for a long time, it develops into paralysis. (It is advisable to use *Duoming Dan* [Life-Snatching Elixir], *Da Xiaofeng San* [Great Wind-Dispersing Powder], and *Ruxiang Soufeng Wan*.)
Lougu Feng (Mole Cricket Feng). This condition resembles Geda Feng but involves more Kidney dampness. Initially, it presents as clusters of three to five nodules along the ribs and knees, growing larger and connecting into long chains resembling a mole cricket. There are intermittent chills and fever, or pain, itching, and numbness with stubborn bi-syndrome insensitivity. If not treated promptly, the entire body will ulcerate and lead to death. (It is advisable to use *Duoming Dan* and *Banlong Bashi Dan* [Banlong Eight Masters Elixir].)
Ye Feng (Dragging Feng, involving both the Liver and Spleen meridians). This condition arises from the accumulation of wind-phlegm in the Liver and Spleen meridians, combined with Heart blood deficiency generating internal fire. Wind-phlegm rebels upward, obstructing the Heart orifices, causing sudden collapse, coma, and loss of consciousness. The limbs are pulled and convulsed, fists clenched or extending/retracting, and white foam is vomited from the mouth. The wind-phlegm pathogen attacks the Ying and Wei levels while the body is deficient. The righteous Qi struggles to expel the pathogen. If the pathogen is strong and the righteous Qi weak, the patient will die in unconsciousness; if the righteous Qi prevails and the pathogen declines, the patient regains consciousness, with the timing varying. (It is advisable to use *Yili Jin Dan* [One-Pill Golden Elixir] and *Simoe Dan* [Four-Moaning Elixir], combined with formulas that dispel wind, resolve phlegm, and descend fire, which can lead to recovery.)
Chong Feng (Worm Feng). This condition stems from wind-dampness in the Spleen, which accumulates and transforms into heat over time. The toxic heat-dampness congests the interior organs. Initially, the abdomen swells while the limbs emaciate, resembling a drum. As time passes, the evil toxin attacks upward. Since the upper eyelid belongs to the Spleen and the lips are the external union of the Spleen, the patient experiences sunken eyes and everted toxins. Eventually, the toxicity spreads throughout the body, causing general swelling, blackening of the skin and flesh, hair loss, and death. (It is advisable to use *Sufeng Shunqi Wan* and *Jiuku Huisheng Dan* [Suffering-Averting Life-Restoring Elixir].)
There is a condition where sores appear on the body and face resembling cat eyes, emitting light and colors, without pus or blood, which eventually recede spontaneously. This is called Han Chuang (Cold Sore), a bizarre condition. It is caused by excessive consumption of chicken, fish, green onions, and leeks. It requires warm-tonifying and detoxifying agents; fumigation with medicine can cure it.
There is a condition where blisters appear all over the body, resembling sand pears. Upon rupture, water flows out, containing stone fragments the size of fingernails. The skin perforates, and the stones emerge. After the sore heals, the blisters regenerate endlessly. If the muscles are entirely depleted, death ensues. Treatment involves using *Sanleng* (Rhizoma Sparganii) and *Ezhu* (Rhizoma Curcumae), each 5 qian, ground into powder, divided into three doses, taken with warm water, which will result in a cure.
There is a condition starting with small bumps on the face, resembling scabies but not scabies, resembling tinea but not tinea. It occurs mostly in spring and summer, with symptoms of itching, pain, or burning heat. It gradually forms fine sores discharging yellow, foul-smelling pus, spreading diffusely. This is called Chui Feng Xuan (Wind-Blowing Tinea). Women suffer from this frequently due to accumulated fire-heat and wind-heat pathogens rising from internal depression. Thus, it manifests on the face. If prolonged, it transforms into Feng Lai (leprosy-like madness); once it extends to the hairline, it is incurable. Treatment should focus on clearing the Heart, smoothing Qi, dispersing Lung fire, and expelling wind-heat. Abstinence from sexual desire is required for recovery.
