\r人面疮\p04-a41a188.bmp\r
Feng Luzhan stated: Pediatric crural deformity resembling a crane's knee, also known as "crane joint," is caused by congenital kidney deficiency and insufficient qi and blood, leading to emaciated muscles. The appearance resembles a crane's knee, with no change in external color, but pain inside the knee and difficulty in flexion and extension. If the area is red, swollen, congested, and suppurates, it is due to external factors and is treatable; if it is swollen, hard, white in color, and does not suppurate, it belongs to innate constitution and is difficult to cure. For cases due to external factors, use Schizonepetae Herba (Jingjie) and Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng) as the main herbs, assisted by herbs that tonify qi and nourish ying (nutritive) blood. For cases due to innate constitution, use Liuwei Dihuang Wan (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill) plus Cervus Nippon Cornu (Deer Horn) to tonify essence and blood, while still regulating and tonifying the spleen and stomach to aid the source of transformation and generation. (From *Jinnang*)
Human-Face Sore
Chen Shigong stated: The Human-Face Sore resembles a human face completely, with eyes and nose fully formed. It mostly occurs above the knee, but can also appear on the arm. According to ancient texts, it is caused by accumulated grievances. One must first purify the heart and confess, repent and start anew. Internally administer Liqi Yin (Flowing Qi Decoction); externally apply powder of Fritillariae Bulbus (Beimu). This will cause the eyebrows to gather and the mouth to close. Subsequently, use herbs to generate flesh and close the wound, combined with regulatory medicines. (From *Zhengzong*)
Divine Master Qi stated: Humans developing Human-Face Sores, possessing complete mouths, noses, and two eyes, which can eat when offered flesh—is this not a strange disease? Some people apply Beimu powder, causing the sore to frown and close its mouth; people attribute this to vengeful spirits or creditors. I disagree. It is likely possessed by malevolent influences. Using Qing Leiwany (Light Leiwan Pill) yields very rapid results. Leiwany is best at removing toxins and expelling evil; adding Fenqing (Calomel) penetrates deep into the bone marrow, leaving nowhere for the evil to hide. Poria (Fuling) is used merely to remove dampness. (From *Milu*)
He further stated: If a head suddenly appears on someone's arm, with complete eyes, ears, mouth, and nose, capable of calling out a person's name, this is a ghost claiming a debt, forming this bizarre disease. At the onset, there must be arm pain and itching; scratching with hands causes it to grow gradually. Over time, it takes shape, becoming as large as a teacup, lacking only hair, beard, and eyebrows. If cut with a knife, death occurs immediately and cannot be saved. It is appropriate to服用 Jieyuan Shendan (Resolving Grievances Divine Elixir); after taking it, reciting scriptures and chanting Buddha's name for repentance is advisable.
Shen Douyuan stated: This sore resembles a human with mouth, nose, and eyes, mostly occurring at the elbows and knees. One type is living, able to eat, with moving mouth and eyes; another type is dead, with immobile mouth and eyes. (From *Qixuan*)
