隐疯内发
感染时人并不自知。劳累发热时皮肤变红。靠近火源时皮肤发光。耳朵和脸颊经常发热。脚部有麻木的肌肉（痹肉）。面部感觉像虫子爬行，擦拭后看不见，隐隐约约地出现。一旦发作就会溃烂。用小神丸主治。这不是麻风病。初起时根据各经络受病的病因，用药治疗即可痊愈。
干疯
身体有粗糙的皮肤，脸色淡红。身体有麻木的肌肉，手脚焦枯。这不是麻风病。根据症状用药治疗。
猪头疯
脸色红，耳朵肿胀，隆起红色的团块。手脚肿胀麻木，身体发热，痰多，鼻塞声音嘶哑。发作起来非常凶险，但治疗容易痊愈。这不是麻风病，不可胡乱指认。选择方剂治疗。
拔发疯
眉毛和头发全部脱落，然后吐出痰液。手脚麻痹，身体有红色斑块，预先在脚底穿孔，耳朵热，眼皮跳动，手握拳，脚痉挛，瘙痒疼痛没有定时。用蒺藜散主治。这是麻风病。
侵热疯

Hidden Leprosy Erupting Internally
The infection is imperceptible to the infected. When labor and heat occur, the skin turns red. When near fire, the skin glows. The ears and cheeks are often hot. There is numbness in the muscles of the feet. The face feels as if insects are crawling on it; wiping reveals nothing, yet it emerges indistinctly. Once erupted, it ulcerates. Xiao Shen Wan (Little Divine Pill) is the primary prescription. This is not Hansen's disease (Leprosy). At the initial stage, treat according to the etiology of the affected meridians with appropriate herbs, and recovery will follow.
Dry Leprosy
The body has rough skin, and the complexion is pale red. There is numbness in the muscles of the body, and the hands and feet are scorched and withered. This is not Hansen's disease (Leprosy). Treat according to the symptoms with appropriate herbs.
Pig-Head Leprosy
The face is red, and the ears are swollen, with raised red nodules. The hands and feet are swollen and numb. The body is hot with excessive phlegm. There is nasal congestion and hoarseness. The eruption is fierce, but the condition is easy to cure. This is not Hansen's disease (Leprosy); do not misdiagnose arbitrarily. Select a formula for treatment.
Hair-Pulling Leprosy
Eyebrows and hair fall out completely, followed by the expectoration of phlegm. The hands and feet are paralyzed. Red patches appear on the body. Preceding signs include perforation in the soles of the feet, hot ears, and twitching eyes. The hands form fists, and the feet spasm. Itching and pain occur without fixed timing. Ji Li San (Tribulus Powder) is the primary prescription. This is Hansen's disease (Leprosy).
Heat-Invasion Leprosy
The onset is sudden, with steaming heat throughout the body before the disease manifests. Use purgative and draining formulas, assisted by blood-cooling herbs. If there are red patches on the face, treat with Ba Bao Dan (Eight-Treasure Elixir). This is not Hansen's disease (Leprosy). Carefully examine the symptoms and prescribe accordingly; no case will fail to heal.
Cold-Invasion Leprosy
The constitution is already deficient, invaded by earth qi and dampness from the ground. Initially, there is no perceptible abnormality. There is numbness in the muscles of the body, scorched and withered hands and feet, and limb contracture. Ji Li San (Tribulus Powder) is the primary prescription. Scaly Leprosy
