In women aged twenty-three or twenty-four, there is distension and fullness in the heart and abdomen, with qi rising to obstruct the diaphragm, loss of appetite, and masses forming into membranes in the abdomen. This is due to tidal fever after menstruation combined with the mistaken consumption of raw and cold foods, leading to the accumulation of phlegm-fluids (Tan-Yin). If not treated early, it will eventually become a major affliction. Jue Jing Tang (Decoction for Resolving Menstrual Disorders) is the primary prescription.
