家母（痢疾病症）
身体因操劳而虚弱。真阴不足。夏季心阳之气运行不畅。进入秋季后肺气郁结而不能宣发。肝木挟带暑湿之邪，先从上部侵扰头部，导致头顶疼痛、咳嗽。
旧有的疾病发作但尚不严重。恰逢接触秽浊之气，浊邪壅塞阻滞，反而向下走窜。先出现腹泻转为痢疾，赤白脓血混杂而下。体表有轻微发热，正气虚弱而邪气强盛，病势正处于旺盛阶段。拟采用表里双解的方法治疗。使邪气迅速排出，以免损伤正气。

家母（再次诊治）
体表的发热通过出汗得以解除。腹痛剧烈且有里急后重感。每日排便次数达数十次，排泄物为赤白紫暗的黏滞脓血。进食勉强。口苦舌苔粗糙。这是血分郁热凝结所致。每次痢疾发作严重时，积滞多而粪便少，后重感极其严重。仔细分析病机，睡眠中略有咳嗽，醒来时疼痛缓解。刚醒来疼痛缓解的时候。

My mother (Dysentery syndrome)
Her constitution is weakened by overwork. There is a deficiency of True Yin. In summer, the Heart Yang Qi flows poorly. Upon entering autumn, Lung Qi becomes stagnant and fails to disperse. Liver Wood, carrying Summer-heat and Dampness, disturbs from above first, causing vertex headache and cough.
Old ailments flare up but are not severe. Coinciding with exposure to foul pathogens, turbid pathogens obstruct and stagnate, instead moving downward. Initially diarrhea turns into dysentery, with red and white pus and blood mixed in discharge. The exterior has slight fever; Zheng Qi is deficient while pathogenic factors are exuberant, and the disease momentum is at its peak. It is proposed to resolve both the exterior and interior simultaneously. Expelling pathogens quickly will prevent damage to Zheng Qi.

Exterior heat was resolved through sweating. Abdominal pain is severe with tenesmus. Bowel movements occur dozens of times day and night, with red, white, and purplish sticky discharge. During severe episodes of dysentery, there is much accumulation but little stool, with extreme tenesmus.
