[Da] When women suffer from pain in the lower abdomen, this is caused by wind-cold pathogens that have long resided within the Bao Luo (uterine collaterals). These pathogens contend with Qi and Blood, stagnating and accumulating in the lower abdomen. When triggered by constitutional deficiency, the wind pathogen strikes against the blood, resulting in pain.
[Xue] For the aforementioned symptoms, if they are due to cold Qi stagnation and blood coagulation, use Weilingxian San (Clerodendron Powder). If due to Qi stagnation and blood stasis, use Danggui San (Angelica Powder). If due to Liver channel Blood deficiency, use Siwu Tang (Four Substances Decoction) as a general formula, adding Renshen (Ginseng), Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome), and Chaihu (Bupleurum Root). If due to Damp-Heat in the Liver channel, use Longdan Xiegan Tang (Gentian Liver-Draining Decoction; refer to miscellaneous diseases: strangury). If due to Qi and Spleen deficiency, use Liujunzi Tang (Six Gentlemen Decoction; refer to miscellaneous diseases: consumptive disease), adding Chaihu (Bupleurum Root) and Shaoyao (Peony Root). If due to Liver and Spleen deficiency-cold, use Liujunzi Tang added with Chaihu (Bupleurum Root) and Rougui (Cinnamon Bark). If accompanied by vomiting, add Muxiang (Aucklandia Root). If there is cold reversal of the four limbs, additionally add Paojiang (Prepared Ginger). Zhang Mengwei, Commissioner of Communications, stated: His younger sister suffered from lower abdominal pain and took Fuzi Lizhong Tang (Aconite Middle-Warming Decoction); she consumed more than eighty pieces of Fuzi (Aconite Lateralis Radix Preparata). This represents an extreme case of deep-seated cold and entrenched chill, which is rare.

Recovery is immediate.
