Yangfeng (Ulcerative Wind), referring to naturally occurring patchy desquamation on the sides of the neck, chest, or axillae, with connected spots that are slightly white and round, or sometimes dark/black, without pain or itching. This condition is called Yangfeng. It arises from wind-pathogen clashing with the skin, causing disharmony of blood and qi.
Youmu (Wart-like Eye), referring to sudden growths on the edges of hands and feet resembling beans or tendon knots, numbering five or ten, connected within the muscle tissue, rougher and harder than surrounding flesh. This condition is called Youmu. It arises from wind-pathogen invading the muscles and undergoing transformation.
Shuru (Mouse Breast), referring to sudden growths on the body and face resembling the shape of a mouse's breast. This condition is called Shuru. It arises from wind-pathogen invading the muscles and undergoing transformation.
Duo Wang (Excessive Forgetfulness) results from Heart deficiency. The Heart governs the blood vessels and houses the Shen (Spirit). If wind-pathogen attacks the blood and qi, causing Yin-Yang disharmony, intermittent blockage, alternating deficiency and excess, and chaotic blood and qi, it leads to Heart-Shen deficiency and excessive forgetfulness.
The *Yangsheng Fang* (Prescriptions for Nourishing Life) states: Men should not sleep with their heads facing north, as this unsettles the Hun and Po (Soul and Corporeal Soul), leading to sorrow and forgetfulness.
Shi Mian (Hypersomnia) occurs in individuals with large intestines and stomachs and dry, rough skin. This causes the intermuscular spaces to remain closed, delaying the circulation of Wei Qi (Defensive Qi) into the Yin aspects. The Yang Qi fails to provide mental clarity and alertness due to chaotic obstruction, resulting in hypersomnia. Decoctions, moxibustion/heat therapy, acupuncture, and stone therapy have separate specific formulas; nourishing regimens and Daoyin (guiding and pulling) exercises are attached below.
The *Daoyin Fa* (Guiding and Pulling Methods) section of the *Yangsheng Fang* states: Squat, cross hands and bend legs inward between them, pulling tightly with both hands. The longer one holds this, the more prone to drowsiness and unclear essence/spirit one becomes. Cross-legged squatting. The term "Ju" (squatting) refers to inserting bent hands from the inside through the legs: left hand enters from above the right ankle over the left foot, following down through the gap; right hand enters from above the left ankle over the right foot, following down through the gap; then release, embrace both feet, and pull both hands apart to the extreme limit twice. The longer one holds this, the more prone to drowsiness and unclear spirit. Practicing this long-term prevents sleepiness and maintains clear spirit.
It also states: One hand supports the chin, pushing upward to the extreme; the other hand extends backward and pushes forcefully, palms facing four directions, reaching the extreme posture simultaneously, repeating seven times. Switch hands and repeat. The hand supporting the chin moves toward the head sides, repeating seven times; tilt head and turn torso, repeating fourteen times. This removes wind from the arms and improves sleep. Regular use ensures perpetual health and auspiciousness.
