春夏季节先深刺而后浅出，秋冬季节先浅刺而后深留。根据部位按压，配合呼吸轻缓操作。迎着经气吸气时寻找内关穴，补虚泻实用公孙穴。
先浅后深是阳数的方法，前二后三是阳数的定法。临泣、公孙穴主治肠道疾病，申脉穴主治脊头腰背疼痛。照海穴主治咽喉和小腹疾病，内关穴主治心痛等胸部疾病。后溪穴主治肩背疾病，列缺穴针刺时脉气通畅。急按慢提可使阴气上升，急提慢按可使阳气下降。取阳经或阴经都采用六的倍数次数，高明的人针刺会有奇效。
壬日、甲日公孙穴属干卦，乙日、癸日坤宫穴与申脉穴相连。庚日外关穴属震卦，丙日内关穴从艮位选取。戊日临泣穴属坎卦，后溪穴辛日属巽宫迁移而来。丁日兑宫针刺照海穴，己日应选列缺穴与离卦相应。

In spring and summer, needle deep first then shallow. In autumn and winter, needle shallow first then deep. Press where appropriate, breathe lightly. Meet and inhale to find Neiguan (Neiguan). To tonify deficiency and drain excess, use Gongsun (Gongsun).
Shallow first then deep is the method of Yang numbers. Front two back three is the fixed Yang number. Linqi (Linque) and Gongsun (Gongsun) treat intestinal diseases. Shenmai (Shenmai) attacks spine head, waist and back. Zhaohai (Zhaohai) treats throat and lower abdomen. Neiguan (Neiguan) treats heart pain in its pathway. Houxi (Houxi) treats upper outer shoulder and back. When needling Lieque (Lieque), pulse qi flows through. Rapid press slow lift raises Yin qi. Rapid lift slow press lowers Yang qi. Taking Yang or Yin both use multiples of six. Experts' needling has miraculous effects.
On Ren (Ren) and Jia (Jia) days, Gongsun (Gongsun) belongs to Qian (Qian) trigram. Yi (Yi) and Gui (Gui) Kun (Kun) palace connects with Shenmai (Shenmai). On Geng (Geng) day, Waiguan (Waiguan) belongs to Zhen (Zhen) trigram. Bing (Bing) follows Gen (Gen) position, Neiguan (Neiguan) is convenient. Wu (Wu) day Linqi (Linque) Kan (Kan) image trigram. Houxi (Houxi) Xin (Xin) day Xun (Xun) palace moves. Ding (Ding) day Dui (Dui) palace needles Zhaohai (Zhaohai). Ji (Ji) should Lieque (Lieque) and Li (Li) front.
