Lung distension with Qi rebellion. Heat and pain in the hypochondrium. Moxibustion on Yindu (RN19) is performed, with the number of moxa cones corresponding to the patient's age. Lung distension with fullness in the hypochondrium. For diseases such as vomiting and rebellious Qi, moxibustion is applied to Dazhui (GV14) and the third intercostal space above both nipples, with a maximum of seven cones per site. When both the Lung and Large Intestine are in an Excess state: Zhongfu (LU1) governs Lung Cold and Heat. (See Rebellious Qi.) Shanzhong (CV17) treats Lung Qi cough with expectoration of pus. Inability to swallow food. A sensation of blockage in the chest. (*Tongren*) Tiantu (CV22) treats Lung Abscess with expectoration of pus and blood. Dry throat and tightness under the tongue. Sores in the throat. Zhongfu (LU1) treats urgency of the Lung system. Chest pain with shivering. Gallbladder Heat. Vomiting and rebellious Qi. Expectoration of turbid nasal discharge. Wind-pain in the shoulder and back with sweating. Abdominal distension and inability to eat. The *Mingtang Jing* states below: Lung Urgency with chest fullness. Wheezing and rebellious Qi with turbid expectoration. Prone to choking and skin pain. Taiyuan (LU9) treats Lung distension with fullness and rumbling sounds. The *Mingtang Jing* states below: Treats chest Qi fullness preventing lying down. Lung distension with fullness and rumbling sounds. Feishu (BL13) treats Lung Cold and Heat. Lung Withering. Upper asthma and cough. Hemoptysis. Fullness of Qi in the chest and hypochondrium. Inability to lie down. Loss of appetite. Lack of sweat. And stiffness/strong tension in the back. (*Mingtang Jing* below) For all cases of Lung Wind, Qi Withering and Extinction, fullness and swelling of the four limbs, wheezing/rebellious Qi and chest fullness, moxibustion is applied to Feishu (BL13), two cones each. Shuigou (GV26) treats facial swelling and lip twitching. Ye Ye Lung Wind. Resembling insects crawling. (*Mingtang Jing*) Fengchi (GB20), (See Facial Swelling.) Treats Lung Wind.
Zusanli (ST36) governs cough with excessive saliva. (*Qianjin*) Qufen (ST12), Shanzhong (CV17), Jueque (CV14) govern cough. Yuji (LU10) treats cough and asthma. (See Cold-Heat Lung Heart Pain. Cough drawing to the sacrum and urinary incontinence. (*Mingtang Jing*) Feishu (BL13) treats Lung cough. (See Transmitted Corpse [TB].) Xiaozhe (SI1), Xinxu (BL15), (See Heart Pain.) Kufang (ST14), (See Rebellious Qi.) Treats cough. Tiantu (CV22) treats cough with rebellious Qi and choking. Chest Qi. Water-like sound in the throat. Lianquan (CV23) treats cough with scanty Qi. (See Scanty Qi.) Shanzhong (CV17), (See Lung Abscess.) Treats cough with rebellious Qi. The text below states: Treats cough with shortness of Qi. Jingqu (LU8), (See Asthma.) Treats cough-rebellious Qi. Tianchi (PC1) treats rebellious Qi and cough. Chest Qi fullness. Throat鸣 (noisy breathing). Four limbs unable to lift. Axillary swelling. (*Mingtang Jing* below) Jiexi (ST41) treats rebellious Qi and cough. Rapid panting. Accumulated Qi moving up and down in the abdomen. Yuji (LU10), Lieque (LU7), Xiaozhe (SI1), (See Convulsion.) Qufen (ST12) treats cough. (*Tongren*) Chize (LU5) treats cough with turbid expectoration. (See Throat Bi.) Jianzhongshu (SI11) treats cough with rebellious Qi and hemoptysis. Dazhu (BL11) treats Wind-Lao Qi cough. (See Wind-Lao.) Fengmen (BL12) treats panting and restless sleep. (See Wind-Lao.) Feishu (BL13) treats Lung Withering cough. (See Lao Zhai [Consumption].) Shanzhong (CV17) treats Lung Qi cough. (See Lung Qi.) Yongquan (KI1) treats female infertility. Cough with body heat. (*Mingtang Jing* below cough shortness of Qi.) Qian Gu (SI2) treats cough with epistaxis. Neck and cervical pain. Taixi (KI3) treats Pi [mass] cough. Loss of appetite. Rebellious Qi and cough. Moxibustion on Fei Mu (CV17? Note: Text says Fei Mu, likely referring to a specific point or error for Danzhong/Feishu context, but literal translation used) fifty cones. (*Qianjin* See Rebellious Qi.) For cough, moxibustion on the painful spot found by pressing the outer bone at the transverse crease when flexing the arm. Fourteen cones is good. For cough, moxibustion on the boundary between black and white skin below both nipples. One hundred cones each. Then it heals. Also, use mugwort to encircle the body from the nipple circumference. Align front and back evenly. At the midpoint of the spinal joint. Moxibustion ten cones, etc. Lianquan (CV23), Tianjing (TE10), (Both see Rebellious Qi.) Taiyuan (LU9) treats cough. (*Tongren* See Non-sleep.)
For chronic cough, moxibustion on Gaohuang (BL43) is most suitable. Next, moxibustion on Feishu (BL13) and other points is suitable. Treat according to the syndrome. If it is acute cough, moxibustion is not necessary. There was a man who suddenly had continuous out-breathing without stopping. The illness lasted several days. Pressing his Shanzhong (CV17) point elicited a response. He was treated with frequent pricking using a slightly cold needle and recovered. Initially, no moxibustion was used. How miraculous! *Qianyi* describes twelve types of Wind. Wind entering the Lung causes cough-rebellion and shortness of Qi. Also: Liver Cough is needled at Zuchong (LR3). Heart Cough is needled at Shenmen (HT7). Spleen Cough is needled at Taibai (SP3). Lung Cough is needled at Taiquan (LU9 - Note: Text says Taiquan, likely Taiyuan LU9). Kidney Cough is needled at Taixi (KI3). Gallbladder Cough is needled at Yanglingquan (GB34). Also, the point between the lower part of the fifth vertebra and the upper part of the sixth vertebra, with cones corresponding to age, also governs rebellious Qi.
