The Pericardium Meridian of Hand-Jueyin originates in the chest, emerges to connect with the Pericardium (Pericardium), descends through the diaphragm, and successively connects with the Triple Burner (Triple Energizer). Its branch follows the chest, emerges to the hypochondrium, descends three cun below the axilla, ascends to reach the axilla, then descends along the medial aspect of the upper arm, running between the Lung Meridian of Hand-Taiyin and the Heart Meridian of Hand-Shaoyin. It enters the elbow (Quze, PC3), descends along the forearm between the radius and ulna (passing Jianshi, PC5; Daling, PC7 at the wrist crease), enters the palm (Laogong, PC8), and follows the middle finger to its tip (Zhongchong, PC9). Another branch separates from the palm, follows the ring finger to its tip (here connecting with the Sanjiao Meridian of Hand-Shaoyang).
When this meridian is affected by pathogenic factors, symptoms include heat in the palm, spasm and stiffness of the elbow and arm, swelling of the axilla. In severe cases, there may be fullness in the chest and hypochondrium, palpitations (heart quivering), red face, yellow eyes, and incessant laughter. This meridian primarily governs diseases related to the vessels, manifesting as irritability, heart pain, and heat in the palm. If excess, the Cun Kou pulse is larger than the Ying Yang pulse by one degree; if deficiency, the Cun Kou pulse is smaller than the Ying Yang pulse (from *Ling Shu*). ○ During Xu hour (7-9 PM), Qi flows from the Gallbladder into Tianchi (TI10), descending along the arm to Zhongchong (PC9) (from *Ru Men*).
The Heart is the great master of the five Zang organs and six Fu organs, and the residence of the Spirit (Shen). The Heart organ is solid, so pathogens cannot easily invade it; if they do, the Heart is damaged, the Spirit departs, and death ensues. Therefore, any pathogen affecting the Heart actually affects the Pericardium. The Pericardium is the meridian representing the Heart Master, so it alone has no Yuan-Source point (Note: Context implies substitution or specific treatment logic). The entry, exit, flexion, extension, and speed of flow of other meridians are similar to those of the Heart Meridian of Hand-Shaoyin. Thus, Dou Hanqing in *Kongxue Pangtong Tu* points out that for the Heart Meridian, instead of using Shaochong (HT9), Shaofu (HT8), Shenmen (HT7), Lingdao (HT4), and Shaohai (HT3), one uses Zhongchong (PC9), Laogong (PC8), Daling (PC7), Jianshi (PC5), and Quze (PC3), which clarifies the relationship (from *Gang Mu*).
Zhongchong (PC9): Two points located at the tip of the middle finger, in the depression about the width of a leek leaf from the nail bed. It is the Jing-Well point of the Pericardium Meridian. Needle depth 1 fen, retain for 3 breaths, moxa 1 cone (from *Ling Shu*).
Laogong (PC8): Two points, also known as Wuli or Zhangzhong, located in the center of the palm. To locate, flex the ring finger (from *Tong Ren*). ○ Located in the artery at the central transverse crease of the palm (from *Gang Mu*). ○ Located at the center of the palmar transverse crease, to locate, flex the middle finger (from *Ru Men*). ○ It is the Ying-Spring point of the Pericardium Meridian. Needle depth 3 fen, retain for 6 breaths, moxa 3 cones (from *Tong Ren*). ○ Only needle once; needling twice causes deficiency. Do not moxa. Flexing the middle finger is correct; flexing the ring finger is incorrect (from *Zisheng*).
Daling (PC7): Two points located in the depression between the two tendons behind the wrist (from *Tong Ren*). ○ Located in the depression between the two tendons and two bones at the posterior transverse crease of the palm (from *Ru Men*). ○ It is the Shu-Stream point of the Pericardium Meridian. Needle depth 5 fen, moxa 3 cones (from *Tong Ren*).
Neiguan (PC6): Two points located 2 cun proximal to the wrist crease (from *Tong Ren*). ○ 2 cun posterior to Daling (from *Ru Men*). Located between the two tendons; it is the Luo-Connecting point of the Heart Master (Pericardium), diverging to the Sanjiao Meridian (from *Gang Mu*). ○ Needle depth 3 fen, moxa 3 cones (from *Tong Ren*).
Jianshi (PC5): Two points located 3 cun proximal to the wrist crease, in the depression between the two tendons (from *Tong Ren*). ○ 3 cun posterior to Daling, or 3 cun from the wrist crease (from *Ru Men*). ○ It is the Jing-River point of the Pericardium Meridian. Needle depth 3 fen, moxa 5 cones (from *Tong Ren*). ○ *Ling Shu* states it is between the two tendons, 3 cun from the wrist. Commentary notes: "If there is pathology, it reaches here; if not, it stops." This means the point is limited by a large collateral vessel. Entering the collateral beyond the midline of the posterior palm, stopping 3 cun posterior to Laogong, is where the point lies. Hence, "reaches if pathological, stops if not" (from *Gang Mu*).
Ximen (PC4): Two points located 5 cun proximal to the wrist crease, or 5 cun posterior to Daling. It is the Xi-Cleft point of the Pericardium Meridian. Needle depth 3 fen, moxa 5 cones (from *Tong Ren*).
Quze (PC3): Two points located in the depression on the medial border of the elbow, found by flexing the elbow (from *Tong Ren*). ○ Located in the artery at the central transverse crease of the antecubital fossa, found by flexing the elbow (from *Ru Men*). ○ It is the He-Sea point of the Pericardium Meridian. Needle depth 3 fen, retain for 7 breaths, moxa 3 cones (from *Tong Ren*).
Tianquan (PC2): Two points, also known as Tianshi, located 2 cun distal to the axillary fold, found by raising the arm. Needle depth 3 fen, moxa 3 cones (from *Tong Ren*).
Tianchi (PC1): Two points, also known as Tianhui, located 1 cun posterior to the nipple, adjacent to the rib cage, directly opposite the axilla and rib space (from *Tong Ren*). ○ 1 cun posterior to the nipple, 3 cun in the axilla (from *Gang Mu*). ○ 2 cun lateral to the nipple, in the depression of the lateral rib (from *Ru Men*). ○ Needle depth 3 fen, moxa 3 cones (from *Tong Ren*).
