Acupuncture Method: If the color of a sore is purple and black, first puncture it with a three-edged needle to drain the evil blood, wash clean with cold water, then apply a plaster. Avoid exposure to sunlight and fire (to prevent consumption of Yang Qi). If the black swelling has not completely subsided, bleeding may be performed again until the purple-black blood is exhausted. (From *Bencao Gangmu*)
Acupuncture and Moxibustion Method: When bitten by a rabid dog, one should first puncture the wound to drain the evil blood, then moxa ten cones directly on the wound. Thereafter, moxa one cone daily until one hundred days have passed. Alcohol should be avoided. (From *Zisheng Jing*) ○ For those bitten by a rabid dog, there is no treatment superior to moxibustion; simply moxa at the site of the bite marks, three cones per day, continuing for one hundred and twenty days. Regular consumption of Chinese chives ensures that the condition will never recur. (From *Qianjin Fang*) ○ Drinking Chinese chive juice naturally induces sweating; sealing the moxa wounds with chive dregs ensures that the condition will never recur. (From *Zisheng Jing*) ○ If dog bite toxins fail to emerge, accompanied by chills and fever, rapidly moxa the Waixiu (BL62) acupoint with three cones, and moxa the bitten area with seven cones; recovery is immediate. (From *Tongren Shuxue Zhenjiu Tujing*)
Moxibustion Method: For bites from snakes, vipers, centipedes, or other venomous insects/jiaolong, moxa five or seven cones at the injury site for immediate cure. (From *Danxin*) ○ Upon being bitten by a venomous snake, immediately apply snake skin to the bite site and moxa over it to draw out the toxic vapors, which stops the toxicity. (From *Bencao Gangmu*)
Moxibustion Method: To treat Gu poison, moxa three cones on the tip of the little toe. Subsequently, foreign matter will be expelled; if consumed with wine or rice, it exits with them; if consumed with meat or vegetables, it exits with them. The patient recovers. This method is highly effective, with all expulsions occurring through the moxa sores. (From *Qianjin Fang*)
Acupuncture and Moxibustion Method: Pathogenic factors lodge in the collaterals of the Hand Shaoyin, Hand Taiyin, Foot Shaoyin, Foot Taiyin, and Foot Yangming meridians. When these five collaterals are exhausted, the body's pulses may move while the form remains insensible, resembling a corpse; this is called Shijue (Corpse-like Coma). First puncture Yinbai (SP1), then Yongquan (KI1), then Lidui (ST45), then Shaoshang (LU11), and finally Shenmen (HT7). (From *Huangdi Neijing*) ○ For Shijue, puncture Qimen (LR14), Juxue (CV14), Zhongji (CV3), Pugen (BL60), Yinbai (SP1), Dacun (LR1), and Jinmen (BL63). ○ For sudden collapse (Zuojue) or Shijue, moxa Baihui (GV20) forty-nine cones; moxa Qihai (CV6) three hundred cones (according to *Danxin*), stopping when the body feels warm. ○ For Zhong'e (sudden invasion of evil qi) or Kewu (unexpected adverse influence) causing sudden death, moxa the center of the umbilicus (Shenzhong/CV8 area) one hundred cones. ○ For Zhong'e, select Renzhong (GV26), Zhongwan (CV12), and Qihai (CV6). ○ For sudden death, moxa one cun below the heart, three cun above the umbilicus, and four cun below the umbilicus, three cones each; the illness resolves. Additionally, moxa fourteen cones (two sets of seven) behind the nails of both hands and feet. ○ For various sudden deaths or death from nightmare (Yan), urgently puncture Renzhong (GV26) and the inner side of both big toes, one leek-leaf width away from the nail, seven cones each; life returns. (From *Bencao Gangmu*) ○ For sudden "ghost strike" (sudden severe pain as if struck by an arrow), place a piece of peach bark on the painful area, place a spoon-head amount of material on the bark, and moxa with a walnut-sized cone of moxa placed on the spoon head; the illness resolves. (From *Yixue Rumen*)
