肺痈亦两胁作痛，应与肺部参看。白芥子（五钱炒）研末，白滚水下。无论痛在左右，

又方∶枳壳、甘草（炙）各等分为末。每服二钱，以盐白汤调下，极效。
又方∶小茴香一两炒，枳壳五钱面炒，共为末。每服二钱，盐酒调服，立效。
六味地黄丸
见内外备用诸方。加杜仲、续断，或煎服，或作丸服。如不见效，用八味地黄丸（见同
前），加小茴，自愈。
好醋煮热洗肠，虽肠出数日必入。用真台党、枸杞各五钱，浓煎汤淋之，皮自合口，以
羊腰煮粥食之，十日即愈。
用盐少许，放白牛耳内，然后取牛耳中垢以敷疮上，即愈。如不用盐，则牛耳不痒，其
垢难取。或分别红白，照痈毒，阴疽各方治之。
炒盐，布裹熨之。
参看痈毒、阴疽各门。发背乃痈疽中大患，缘其患位对心、对肺、对脐故也。偏曰搭手
，用手可搭而名。红肿痛甚者，应称背痈，易治。如患色白肿痛者，当以流注法治。如平塌
不痛者，当以阴疽法治。此皆阴发背也，如误服寒剂，误敷凉药，误贴凉膏，定然毒攻内腑
不救。此林屋山人秘法也。

又方∶未成者，用活癞虾蟆一个，系放疮上半日，虾蟆受毒必死，取放水中，吐出毒瓦斯
复活。再换一个，仍如前法，换至三四个后，则毒散矣。屡试极效。若势重者，以活癞虾蟆
一个，或二三个，破开，连肚乘热合疮上，不久，必臭不可闻，再换二三次即愈。并治一切
痈毒，屡试如神。终身戒食虾蟆。
又方∶芝麻油一斤，黄丹八两（飞），宫粉一两，槐枝数寸，头发一团（洗净），锈钉五

肺痈也会引起两胁疼痛，应结合肺部病症参考。白芥子（五钱炒制）研成粉末，用开水送服。无论疼痛在左侧还是右侧，此方均适用。
另一个方子：枳壳、炙甘草各等份研成粉末。每次服用二钱，用淡盐水调服，效果极佳。
又一个方子：小茴香一两炒制，枳壳五面粉炒，共同研成粉末。每次服用二钱，用盐和酒调服，立即见效。
六味地黄丸
参见内外备用诸方。加入杜仲、续断，可以煎汤服用，也可以制成丸剂服用。如果不见效，使用八味地黄丸（见前文），加入小茴香，即可自愈。
用好醋煮热后清洗肠道，即使肠管脱出数日也能回纳。使用真台参、枸杞各五钱，浓煎汤汁淋洗患处，皮肤自然愈合，食用羊腰煮的粥，十日即可痊愈。
取少许盐，放入白牛的耳朵内，然后取出牛耳中的垢物敷在疮口上，即可痊愈。如果不放盐，牛耳就不会痒，其垢难以取出。或者根据红白症状的不同，参照痈毒、阴疽的各方法治疗。
炒热的盐，用布包裹熨烫患处。
参考痈毒、阴疽各门类。发背是痈疽中的大患，因为其发病位置对着心、肺、脐的缘故。偏侧发生的称为搭手，因为用手可以搭到的缘故。红肿疼痛严重的，应称为背痈，容易治疗。如果患处颜色苍白肿痛，应当用流注法治疗。如果平塌不痛的，应当用阴疽法治疗。这些都属于阴发背，如果误服寒凉药剂，误敷凉药，误贴凉膏，必然导致毒邪攻入内脏而无法救治。这是林屋山人的秘法。

又一个方子：未成脓者，用一只活癞蛤蟆，系放在疮口上半日，蛤蟆受毒必死，将其放入水中，它会吐出毒气复活。再换一只，仍照前法，换到三四只后，则毒气消散。屡试极效。如果病情严重，用一只或两三只活癞蛤蟆，剖开，连肚子一起趁热合在疮口上，不久，必定臭不可闻，再换二三次即愈。并治一切痈毒，屡试如神。终身戒食蛤蟆。
Lung abscess (Fei Yong) may also cause pain in both hypochondriac regions; it should be referred to alongside lung diseases. White mustard seed (Baijiezi, 5 qian stir-fried) is ground into powder and taken with boiling water. It is effective regardless of whether the pain is on the left or right side.
Another prescription: Equal parts of Aurantium Fructus (Zhike) and roasted Licorice Root (Gancao) are ground into powder. Take 2 qian each time, mixed with light salt water. It is extremely effective.
Yet another prescription: Stir-fry 1 liang of Fennel Seed (Xiaohuixiang) and 5 qian of Aurantium Fructus (Zhike) stir-fried with flour. Grind them together into powder. Take 2 qian each time, mixed with salt and wine. It takes immediate effect.
Liuwei Dihuang Wan (Six-Ingredient Pill with Rehmannia)
See various prescriptions for internal and external use. Add Eucommia Bark (Duzhong) and Dipsacus Root (Xuduan). They can be decocted for drinking or made into pills. If there is no improvement, use Bawei Dihuang Wan (Eight-Ingredient Pill with Rehmannia, see above), add Fennel Seed (Xiaohuixiang), and it will heal spontaneously.
Wash the intestine with hot vinegar. Even if the intestine protrudes for several days, it can be reduced. Use 5 qian of Taizhen Codonopsis (Zhen Taidangshen) and 5 qian of Goji Berry (Gouqi), decoct them strongly to make a thick soup, and pour it over the lesion. The skin will naturally close. Eat porridge cooked with sheep kidneys, and it will heal in ten days.
For those with redness and swelling, treat according to carbuncle-toxin (Yong Du). For those with pale color and flat collapse, treat according to yin-abscess (Yin Ju).
Take a small amount of salt, place it inside the ear of a white cow, then take the dirt from the cow's ear and apply it to the sore. It will heal immediately. If salt is not used, the cow's ear will not itch, and the dirt is difficult to obtain. Alternatively, distinguish between red and white types, and treat according to the respective methods for carbuncle-toxin and yin-abscess.
Stir-fry salt, wrap it in cloth, and apply heat compresses (I) to the affected area.
Refer to the sections on carbuncle-toxin and yin-abscess. Back carbuncle (Fa Bei) is a major affliction among carbuncles and ulcers because its location corresponds to the heart, lungs, and umbilicus. When it occurs on one side, it is called "Da Shou" (Hand-Reaching), named so because it can be reached by hand. If it presents with redness, swelling, and severe pain, it should be called back carbuncle (Bei Yong), which is easy to treat. If the lesion is pale with swelling and pain, treat it using the method for flowing deposits (Liu Zhu). If it is flat and painless, treat it using the method for yin-abscess (Yin Ju). These all belong to yin back carbuncle. If cold-natured medicines are mistakenly taken, cold plasters are mistakenly applied, or cooling pastes are mistakenly used, the toxin will inevitably attack the internal organs, leading to untreatable conditions. This is the secret method of Linwu Shanren.
4 liang of Ox Hide Glue (Niujiao) is steamed until melted, mixed with good wine for oral administration. For those who do not drink alcohol, mix with boiling water. Taking this at the initial stage prevents the toxin from attacking internally and spreading into malignant symptoms.
Another prescription: For lesions that have not yet suppurated, use one live toad (Laixama). Tie it to the upper part of the sore for half a day. The toad will die after absorbing the toxin. Place it in water, where it will revive after expelling the toxic gas. Replace it with another one, following the same method. After replacing three or four toads, the toxin will dissipate. This has been tested repeatedly with extreme efficacy. For severe cases, use one or two or three live toads, cut them open, and apply the whole body, including the belly, hot onto the sore. Soon, it will become unbearable due to odor. Replace it two or three times, and it will heal. This also treats all kinds of carbuncle-toxins, proving miraculous in repeated tests. One must abstain from eating toads for life.
Another prescription: 1 jin of Sesame Oil, 8 liang of Lead Minium (Huandan, prepared by flying), 1 liang of Palace Powder (Gongfen), several inches of Locust Branch (Huai Zhi), one ball of hair (washed clean), five to seven rusty nails... Remove impurities.
Another prescription: Five Gourd Fruits (Gualua) (extract seeds and remove shells), five pieces of real Frankincense (Ruxiang, date-sized). Grind them finely together. Mix with 1 jin of white honey and boil together into...
