此即疔疮。有头痛、寒热、痛痒等症，亦有麻木不知痛痒者，须查疔疮门赶紧治之。
此七情忧郁火动而生，此怪症也。用柴胡、白芍、当归、生地各三钱，川连、川芎、黄
芩各一钱，天花粉二钱，白果十个，水煎服。外用顶上梅花冰片一分，僵蚕末一钱，黄柏二
钱炒，共为末。掺之，即愈。或照下头生白肿块治之，必效。
大铜钱四个，于石上磨猪油，时时搽之。照疔疮治法亦可。
旋复花放瓦上火 存性，研末，用真麻油调搽，即愈。
又方∶葵花根照前焙研，麻油调搽，虽经年不愈，亦效。
燕子窝连泥带粪研末，麻油调搽。
又方∶砂仁壳放瓦上火焙研敷，即愈。此蔡医博秘方也。
铜青五钱，宫粉三钱，明矾一钱半，冰片一分，黄连二两，共熬膏敷。临用加麝香一厘
，冰片五厘。
松毛煮豆腐，约半日久，取豆腐贴之，日换数次，虽多年不愈，亦能断根，真神方也。
方见口部。
照后唇菌治之，必效。此名茧唇，又名沈唇。初起口紧，不能饮食，若不急治，难救。
用新白布作卷如酒杯大，烧燃放刀口上，俟刀口汗出，取汁搽之，日搽十余次，并以青布烧
灰冲酒服，极效。
又方∶五倍子、密陀僧各二钱，甘草二分，共为末。另用黄柏二两，将各药末水调敷黄
柏上，火上烘干，再敷再烘，药尽为度，然后将黄柏冷透，作薄片粘贴，连换数次，过夜即
愈。
又方∶五倍子、诃子肉等分为末，香油调敷，神效。
生蒲黄二钱，川黄连、顶上梅花冰片各一钱，共同研磨成细末，用麻油调和后外敷。
这就是疔疮（一种发病迅速而危险性较大的急性化脓性疾病）。伴有头痛、寒热往来、疼痛或瘙痒等症状，也有出现麻木不知痛痒的情况，必须查阅疔疮章节赶紧治疗。
这是由于七情（喜、怒、忧、思、悲、恐、惊）忧郁导致火邪内生而产生的怪症。使用柴胡、白芍、当归、生地黄各三钱，川黄连、川芎、黄芩各一钱，天花粉二钱，白果十个，加水煎服。外用顶上梅花冰片一分，僵蚕末一钱，黄柏二钱炒制，共同研成末。撒在患处，即可痊愈。或者按照下唇部生长白色肿块的方法治疗，必定有效。
取大铜钱四个，在石头上磨猪油，经常涂抹患处。参照治疗疔疮的方法也可以。
旋复花放在瓦片上加热至存性（煅烧至部分炭化但保留药性），研成末，用真麻油调和涂抹，即可痊愈。
另一个方子：葵花根照前法焙干研磨，用麻油调和涂抹，即使经过多年不愈，也有效。
燕子窝连同泥土和粪便一起研成末，用麻油调和涂抹。
另一个方子：砂仁壳放在瓦片上火焙研磨后外敷，即可痊愈。这是蔡医博的秘方。

松毛（松树针叶）煮豆腐，大约煮半天时间，取出豆腐贴敷患处，每天更换数次，即使是多年的老疾，也能断根，真是神方。
此方见口部章节。
参照后文治疗唇菌（唇部赘生物）的方法，必定有效。此病名为茧唇，又名沈唇。初起时口唇紧缩，不能饮食，如果不紧急治疗，难以救治。用新白布卷成如酒杯大小的形状，点燃后放置在刀口上，待刀口出汗，取其汁液涂抹，每天涂抹十余次，并将青布烧成灰冲酒服用，极效。
另一个方子：五倍子、密陀僧各二钱，甘草二分，共同研成末。另外取黄柏二两，将各药末用水调匀敷在黄柏上，火上烘干，再敷再烘，直到药粉用完为止，然后将黄柏冷却透，切成薄片粘贴，连续更换数次，过夜即可痊愈。
另一个方子：五倍子、诃子肉等分研成末，用香油调和敷贴，神效。
Raw Puhuang (Corydalis Rhizoma) 2 qian, Chuanlian (Coptidis Rhizoma) and Ding Shang Meihua Bingpian (Borneol from the top of the plum blossom variety) each 1 qian, all ground into fine powder together, mixed with Mayou (Sesame Oil) for external application.
This is Dingchuang (Carbuncle/Furuncle). It presents with symptoms such as headache, alternating chills and fever, pain or itching, and there are also cases presenting with numbness and insensitivity to pain or itch. One must consult the section on Dingchuang and treat it urgently.
This arises from internal fire generated by emotional depression (Seven Emotions: joy, anger, worry, thought, sadness, fear, fright); it is a strange disease. Use Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix), Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), and Shengdihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Recens) each 3 qian; Chuanlian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), and Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) each 1 qian; Tianhuafen (Trichosanthis Radix) 2 qian; and Baiguo (Ginkgo Semen) 10 pieces. Decoct in water and take orally. For external use, use Ding Shang Meihua Bingpian (Borneol) 1 fen, Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus) powder 1 qian, and Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex) 2 qian stir-fried, all ground into powder together. Sprinkle onto the lesion, and it will heal. Alternatively, treat it according to the method for white lumps growing on the lower lip, which will surely be effective.
Take four large copper coins, rub them against stone with Zhuyou (Pork Lard), and apply frequently. Treating it according to the methods for Dingchuang is also acceptable.
Xuanjufhua (Inulae Flos) placed on a tile and heated until "cun xing" (partially carbonized but retaining efficacy), ground into powder, mixed with Zhen Mayou (True Sesame Oil) for application, and it will heal.
Another prescription: Kuihuagen (Hibisci Rosae Sinensis Radix) baked and ground as before, mixed with Mayou (Sesame Oil) for application; even if it has persisted for years, it is still effective.
Yanziwo (Swallow's Nest) including mud and feces ground into powder, mixed with Mayou (Sesame Oil) for application.
Another prescription: Sharenke (Amomi Fructus Pericarpium) baked on a tile, ground, and applied; it will heal. This is a secret formula from Dr. Cai.
Tongqing (Vermilion Copper/Basic Copper Carbonate) 5 qian, Gongfen (Lead White) 3 qian, Mingfan (Alumen) 1.5 qian, Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum) 1 fen, Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) 2 liang. Boil together to make an ointment for application. Before use, add Shexiang (Moschus) 1 li and Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum) 5 li.
Songmao (Pinus Massoniana Needle) boiled with tofu for about half a day. Take the tofu and apply it to the affected area, changing several times a day. Even for chronic conditions lasting many years, this can eradicate the root cause; truly a miraculous formula.

Treat it according to the following method for Chunjun (Lip Tumor/Hyperplasia); it will surely be effective. This condition is named Jianchun (Callus Lip) or Shenlip. Initially, the lips are tight, making eating difficult. If not treated urgently, it becomes hard to save. Roll new white cloth into a shape like a wine cup, ignite it, and place it over a knife cut. When sweat appears from the cut, collect the juice and apply it; apply more than ten times a day. Also, burn green cloth to ash, mix with wine, and drink; this is extremely effective.
Another prescription: Wubeizi (Galla Chinensis) and Miduoseng (Lithargyrum) each 2 qian, Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) 2 fen, all ground into powder separately. Take Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex) 2 liang, mix the powders with water, and apply onto the Huangbai. Dry over fire, re-apply, and re-dry until the powder is exhausted. Then, allow the Huangbai to cool completely, slice it thinly, and paste it on the lesion. Change several times; healing occurs overnight.
Another prescription: Wubeizi (Galla Chinensis) and Hezirou (Terminalia Chebulae Fructus) in equal parts, ground into powder, mixed with Xiangyou (Perilla Oil/Sesame Oil) for application; miraculously effective.
