Treat it according to the first prescription for treating asthma and stridor, with miraculous efficacy. Alternatively, the preceding prescription may also be used.
Another prescription: Use true *Concha Margaritifera* powder (elongated shells are from mussels, round ones from clams; one must obtain mussel shells and grind them into powder themselves. If using *Concha Meretricis* powder, it will be ineffective). Stir-fry on a new tile...
Another prescription: Use aged white clam shells (also known as *Concha Meretricis*), calcined until the original nature is preserved, ground into an extremely fine powder, taken with rice gruel, one qian per dose, three times a day, with divine efficacy.
Another prescription: Three slices of *Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis* (soap pod) (soap is better; avoid those infested by insects; remove skin, seeds, and membranes). One slice is stir-fried in sesame oil with ten seeds of *Semen Crotonis Tiglii* (croton seed)... Each time use five...
Another prescription: Four liang of Sydney [Note: Likely a transcription error or obscure local term, possibly referring to a specific herb or ingredient not standardly identified in this context without further clarification, retained as 'Sydney' or potentially 'Xiyi' if referring to a specific plant, but literal translation used here], one liang of fresh ginger, pounded together to extract juice, filtered to remove dregs, mixed with four liang of honey, boiled briefly, sealed in a porcelain vessel, taken at any time, cured with one dose. It can also be taken by healthy individuals; it best nourishes yin and descends fire. Avoid eating radish.
Another prescription: Two liang each of lotus root juice, pear juice, and white loquat fruit juice, boiled down into a paste in a copper pot, taken as desired.
Another prescription: One liang each of *Radix Scutellariae Barbatae* (Scute root, likely referring to *Shenjinca* or similar in some contexts, but Yuan Shen is *Radix Scrophulariae*), raw *Radix Glycyrrhizae* (licorice root), and *Ophiopogonis Radix* (ma dong), eight liang of *Flos Lonicerae Japonicae* (honeysuckle flower), two liang of *Radix Angelicae Sinensis* (dong quai), decocted in water and taken, with divine efficacy. Adding three qian of *Radix Paeoniae Alba* (white peony root) is also acceptable. It also treats lung abscess.
Half a bowl of raw *Dioscoreae Rhizoma* (Chinese yam) (mashed), mixed evenly with half a bowl of sugarcane juice, stewed until slightly warm and taken, stopping immediately.
Equal parts of processed *Rhizoma Zingiberis Officinalis* (dried ginger), *Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis* (soaked, skin/seeds/membranes removed; avoid insect-infested ones), and *Cortex Cinnamomi* (purple bark, skin removed), pounded together and sifted... green onion flour...
*Radix Platycodi Grandiflori* (fried), *Herba Schizonepetae* (fried), *Flos Asteri Tatarici* (steamed over rice once, then fried), *Radix Stemonae* (steamed over rice once, then fried), *Radix Cynanchi Stauntonii* (steamed... raw... expensive... rigid... no... thus... while... orifice... therefore...
Another prescription: *Loquat Paste* (see section on labor injury and hematemesis later) is most efficacious.
Another prescription: One qian each of *Flos Farfarae* (coltsfoot flower), *Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae* (Chuan Bei Mu), and *Radix Anemarrhenae* (zhi mu), boiled several times. Melt rock sugar over a lamp flame and drip it into the medicinal liquid before taking. This has been tried repeatedly with divine efficacy. It also treats dryness of the throat.
Another prescription: Fine tea leaves mixed with brown sugar, stir-fried until dry, cooled thoroughly. Take three or four grains/dots at a time, with divine efficacy.
