3 liang of Achyranthes Root (Niuxi, 牛膝) is soaked in 10 liang of high-quality distilled liquor. It must be sealed tightly and boiled down to 2 liang. Drink this decoction; it will induce the vomiting of foul matter and is extremely effective.
If the body exhibits symptoms resembling insect crawling, with biting pain and unbearable itching all over the body that cannot be brushed away: Wash the affected area with a strong decoction of Atractylodes Rhizome (Cangzhu, 苍术). Additionally, take 2 qian of Atractylodes Rhizome and 2 li of Musk (Shexiang, 麝香), mixed with boiling water for oral administration.
Decoct Perilla Stem (Mabiancao, 马鞭草) and Liu Jinu Herb (Liuji Nu Cao, 刘寄奴草) for oral administration, or grind them into powder for consumption. This is a miraculous medicine for treating Blood Gu (Blood Distension, a condition characterized by abdominal distension due to blood stasis).
Those who have a preference for drinking clarified oil fall into this category. The sensation of insects moving up and down in the throat also belongs to this category. Drinking one or two bowls of white horse urine can dissolve the parasites. Alternatively, taking realgar powder will induce vomiting of the parasite.
Another prescription: A patient suffered from lower back pain radiating to the heart, with episodes causing breathlessness. An experienced physician diagnosed it as "Fa Disease" (a parasitic infection). By administering oil, the patient vomited out a worm which hung on the wall, dripping blood and fluid; it was identified as a Fa worm. Another female patient experienced chest and diaphragm fullness and oppression, salivation, and claimed to hear thunder-like sounds in her epigastrium. Later, 1 fen of Alum (Danfan, 胆矾) was ground into powder and taken with warm wine, resulting in the vomiting of a worm which, upon cutting, was identified as a Fa worm. Another patient suffering from this condition did not respond to Alum but recovered after taking 5 qian of realgar and half a bowl of clarified oil, vomiting out a worm.
Those who crave eating raw rice fall into this category. Take 3 qian of chicken manure (white color is preferred) and 3 qian of white rice, stir-fry them until scorched, grind into powder, and administer with decocted water. Vomiting rice juice indicates recovery.
Those who frequently desire to eat meat fall into this category. Drinking two or three bowls of white horse urine should induce vomiting of meat; if it does not vomit, the condition is difficult to treat.
People who habitually bite lice may develop Louse Disease (parasitic infection caused by lice). Take an old comb and an old hairbrush, break each into two halves. Burn one half of each into ash and grind into powder. Boil the other halves in water and mix with the powder for oral administration to expel the parasites. This method comes from Sun Simiao's *Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold* (*Qianjin Fang*, 《千金方》).
A patient suffered from dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), unable to ingest food or drink. Hua Tuo examined him and diagnosed it as Snake Disease (a parasitic infection). Administer garlic juice soaked in vinegar (aged vinegar is better), drinking two to three bowls.
Another prescription: One centipede, baked on a tile until dry and brittle, ground into powder, and taken with wine. This is very effective.
Another prescription: If the condition arises from indigestion of snake meat, and palpation of the heart and abdomen reveals a shape resembling a snake, administer Rhubarb (Dahuang, 大黄) and Mirabilite (Mangxiao, 芒硝) together. Mild diarrhea will lead to recovery.
Another prescription: Crush earthworms (specifically those with white necks, Baijing Qiuyin, 白颈蚯蚓) and administer the juice.
