宫得来,凡肾经补药,俱可渐加。
To strengthen the source of water (nourish Yin), when the left Chi pulse is weak, nourish Kidney Water to balance Fire.
Shu Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata) [eight qian, washed with wine, steamed and sun-dried nine times, then boiled in wine until soft and pounded into paste], Huai Shan Yao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma) [four qian, stir-fried], Shan Yu Rou (Corni Fructus) [four qian, pitted, washed, steamed, and slow-fire stir-fried], Bai Fu Ling (Poria) [three qian, peeled, cleaned, steamed, and sun-dried], Mu Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex) [three qian, woody core removed], Ze Xie (Alismatis Rhizoma) [three qian, hairs removed].
All are ground into powder, mixed evenly with the Shu Di Huang paste, combined with refined honey to form pills the size of a Chinese parasol tree seed. Take three qian daily on an empty stomach, swallowed with boiling water, followed immediately by a good meal to help the medicine descend. The medicinal power reaches the Kidney meridian without causing stagnation or cloying the chest.
If Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Wu Wei Zi (Schisandrae Fructus), Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix), and Chai Hu (Bupleuri Radix) are added, it is named Yi Yin Shen Qi Wan (Yin-Nourishing Kidney Qi Pill). (Equal parts).
If Gou Qi Zi (Lycii Fructus) and Bai Ju Hua (Chrysanthemi Flos) are added.
To benefit the source of fire (warm Yang), when the right Chi pulse indicates deficient Fire, tonify Fire to consolidate the root.
Add Zhi Fu Zi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) [one qian] and Rou Gui (Cinnamomi Cortex) [one qian] to the Liu Wei Di Huang Wan formula.
I consider that Fu Zi and Rou Gui have intense properties; using Huan Shao Dan (Huan Shao Pill) as a substitute is particularly excellent.
Nourish Kidney Water, warm and nurture the mild Fire (Mingmen Fire). Suitable for both men and women suffering from various deficiencies and damages. Long-term consumption dispels disease and prolongs life.
Huai Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata) [four qian, moistened with wine, steamed and sun-dried nine times, sliced with a bamboo knife, boiled in wine and pounded into paste], Gan Gou Qi Zi (Lycii Fructus) [four qian, steamed twice in human milk, mixed while hot], Chuan Xu Duan (Dipsaci Radix) [two qian, wine-stir-fried], Chuan Niu Xi (Cyathulae Radix) [two qian, wine-stir-fried], Chuan Du Zhong (Eucommiae Cortex) [two qian, stir-fried with ginger juice until fibers break], Shan Yu Rou (Corni Fructus) [two qian, pitted and clean, washed with wine, steamed, sun-dried, and stir-fried], Yuan Zhi Rou (Polygalae Radix flesh) [two qian, washed to remove woody core, sun-dried, and stir-fried], Shi Chang Pu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma) [two qian, select small ones with dense nodes, remove hairs, and stir-fry], Chu Shi Zi (Broussonetiae Fructus) [two qian, selected clean and stir-fried], Xiao Hui Xiang (Foeniculi Fructus) [two qian, stir-fried], Bai Fu Ling (Poria) [two qian, peel and woody debris removed, washed clean with water, steamed, sun-dried], Huai Shan Yao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma) [two qian, steamed and stir-fried].
Process each ingredient according to method, mix evenly. Use two hundred dates' flesh, pound and mix, add refined honey to form pills the size of a Chinese parasol tree seed. Take fifty to seventy pills daily morning and evening, swallowed freely with boiling water or fine wine. This pill, taken long-term, strengthens sinews and bones, benefits joints and orifices, replenishes essence and blood, beautifies complexion, offers great nourishment, and is a supreme treasure for health preservation.
In the past, an immortal secretly taught a woman to take it. She indeed attained old age and retained a youthful appearance. Because her son refused to take it, his hair and beard turned white, and his sinews and bones became flaccid. At that time, she was angrily scolding him. An official saw this from afar, detained her, and asked why she was beating her father. The woman said, "This is my son. I beat him because he refuses to take my medicine." The official took the prescription, admired it, and named it Da Lao Er Wan (Beat Old Man Pill). Originally obtained by Sun Simiao (Sun Zhen Ren) from the Dragon Palace, any Kidney-meridian tonic herbs can be gradually added to it.
