[Dark Eruption (Qi Ma Yong / Horse-riding Abscess)] arises anterior to the anus and posterior to the scrotum, belonging to the exterior-interior relationships of the Hand and Foot Three-Yang and Three-Yin meridians. It is caused by heat accumulation in the Kidney meridian flowing into the Large and Small Intestines, where hot blood accumulates to form toxicity. If treatment is delayed, it will become a fistula (a chronic tract with an external opening), through which stool and urine will discharge. Initially, administer Bu Shen Di Huang Tang (Kidney-Nourishing Rehmannia Decoction) for two or three doses (formula see previous section), followed by Bai Du Liu Qi Yin (Ten-Three-Ingredient Toxin-Resolving and Qi-Circulating Decoction) and Nei Tuo Zhui Du Yin (Fourteen-Ingredient Internal-Supporting and Toxin-Pursuing Decoction). Subsequently, apply methods to drain pus and generate flesh, leading to natural recovery.

[Eight Patterns of Back Lesions]
1. Dui Kou (Opposite-Mouth Carbuncle) 2. Shang Da Shou (Upper Hand-Reaching Carbuncle) (at Fei Shu BL13, 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the 3rd thoracic vertebra) 3. Zhong Da Shou (Middle Hand-Reaching Carbuncle) (at Gao Huan EX-B3, 3 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the 4th thoracic vertebra - *Note: Text says 2 cun at 4th segment, standard is often 3 cun at 4th, translating text literally*) 4. Xia Da Shou (Lower Hand-Reaching Carbuncle) (at Mang Men BL52, 2 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the 14th thoracic vertebra) 5. Nang Fa (Scrotal Eruption) 6. She Tou Ding (Snake-Head Acupoint Boil) 7. Tian She Tou Du (Heavenly Snake-Head Toxicity) 8. Xi Fa (Knee Eruption)
Dui Kou Chuang (Opposite-Mouth Sore) arises below the Heng Shan Bone (transverse process area) and above the Bai Lao Bone (spinous process area), growing directly opposite the mouth. The pain is unbearable, extending upward to connect with the crown of the head and downward penetrating the Heart and Liver. It is governed by the Hand and Foot Three-Yang and Three-Yin meridians. Improper treatment will inevitably lead to death. It is caused by excessive worry, leading to stagnant heat that cannot be released, compounded by damage from moxibustion and bursting therapies. At the onset, the Hai Ma Beng Du Fa (Sea-Horse Burst-Toxin Method) is suitable, along with moxibustion applied to Zhou Jian (EX-B7, tip of the elbow) and Shen Que CV8 acupoints, ten-plus moxa cones each, yielding excellent results. Apply Qu Du Yi Sao Dan (Toxin-Removing One-Wipe Powder) (formula see previous section), followed by San Xiang Nei Tuo Yin (Three-Fragrance Internal-Supporting Decoction) (formula see previous section) and Ding Tong Ba Du Yin (Pain-Calming and Toxin-Resolving Decoction). Internally, one must drain pus and calm pain; externally, one must close the wound and generate flesh. Initially, one should consume Yi Shen Zhi Huo Tang (Kidney-Nourishing and Fire-Restraining Decoction); otherwise, tendons in the shins and neck will slacken and detach, Kidney Water will dissipate, and the blazing heat of the Heart and Liver will cause death.
