Kui Bei (turtle-back deformity) is a malignant condition caused by Kidney Wind invading the bone marrow. Internally administer Zhike Wan (Bitter Orange Pill), and moxibustion therapy should follow sequentially.
If hair fails to grow or remains dark for a long time, and teeth fail to erupt or remain misaligned for a long time, this is a syndrome of Kidney Deficiency and Blood Weakness. Dihuang Wan (Rehmannia Pill) and similar formulas can treat it.
For Xie Lu (infantile fontanelle bulging/delayed closure), use Bawu Tang (Eight-Ingredient Decoction); if there is heat, add Qiaoyao (Forsythia). Bind the head with cotton strips, and use Xiangfu (Cyperus Rhizome) and Bailian (White Peony Root).
Xiao'er Hexi Feng (pediatric genu valgum/knee deformity) belongs to Kidney Deficiency. Use Dihuang Jiawei (Rehmannia Modified Formula); administration ensures safety without worry.
When infants are first born, if they develop insect-like sores, weeping sores, and wind sores all over the body, these are all due to Tai Du (fetal toxin). Do not apply external medicines, as this may force the toxin into the abdomen. It is advisable to administer Huma Wan (Sesame Pill).
In cases where external medicines were mistakenly used, forcing the toxin into the abdomen and causing abdominal distension, Jiedu Wan (Detoxification Pill) is the primary treatment.
In cases where sores appear on the head, face, and entire body, not caused by external application, suddenly subside spontaneously, but are accompanied by phlegm and wheezing, do not use exterior-releasing or damp-draining methods. Instead, treat with Liaoqiao Tang (Forsythia Decoction). All the above syndromes are due to fetal toxin and must not be treated with moxibustion.
Among those over one year old who develop weeping sores, this is Xue Feng Chuang (blood-wind sore); treat with Huma Wan.
After smallpox heals, if pustular sores appear, this is Dou Feng Chuang (smallpox-wind sore); treat with Huma Wan.
The above two syndromes are both due to Wind-Heat. Moxibustion should be applied to Fengchi (GB20), Quchi (LI11), Xuehai (SP10), and Zusanli (ST36), three moxa cones per acupoint.

Pediatric Yong Du Zhong Jie (carbuncles, toxic swellings, and boils) are primarily caused by Qi and Blood stagnation with Heat pathogen taking advantage. Internally administer Jiedu Tang (Detoxification Decoction) and externally apply spot medicine. If already ulcerated, internally administer Dabu Tang (Great Tonifying Decoction) and externally apply Zijin Ding (Purple Gold锭) for smearing.
