Men's essence and blood are disordered, externally attacked by wind-cold, leading to dampness and itching in the genital area, incessant scratching, flowing down to the legs, generating sores everywhere. This disease is named Gan Feng. The so-called kidney wind recognized by the world is actually a misidentification of Gan Feng as belonging to the Kidney. Gan Feng belongs to the Zong Jin (sinews/genitals), connected to the Liver, nourished by the Stomach Yangming channel. Yangming governs muscles, flows along the meridians into the four limbs, thus causing sores in the limbs. This is precisely what is called Gan Feng, not kidney wind.
Treats Gan Feng attacking upward and flowing downward, causing tinnitus, itchy eyes, red nose, floating teeth sensation; or forming mouth ulcers, flowing downward causing genital dampness, limb itching, body-wide sores; and women's blood-wind disease.
Bai Fu Zi (Typhonii Rhizoma), Sha Yuan Ji Li (Astragali Complanati Semen), Huang Qi (Astragali Radix), Qiang Huo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix) (equal parts).
Grind the above into powder. Take 2 qian each time, mixed with salt and wine. Some people split pig kidneys, insert salt and sprinkle medicine inside, roast and take, which is also good. Gan Feng belongs to the Zong Jin, nourished by the Stomach Yangming channel, hence these symptoms occur.
