Jingsanleng (Rhizoma Sparganii), Peng'ezhu (Rhizoma Curcumae Zedoariae) (each 4 liang), Yuanhua (Flos Genkwa) (1 liang, remove stems and leaves).
Place the above ingredients together in a porcelain vessel, soak fully with 5 sheng of rice vinegar, seal the vessel mouth, and simmer over ash fire until dry. Remove Sanleng and Ezhu. Stir-fry Yuanhua with the remaining vinegar until slightly scorched, bake until dry, and grind into powder. Make pills using vinegar paste, sized like mung beans. Take 15 pills each time, administered with ginger decoction. For women's blood disorders or men's spleen deficiency with loose stools, presenting with edema resembling water retention, administer with mulberry root bark (Sangbaipi) decoction.
Treats chronic adnexal masses (Jia Pi) formed over years, which have not responded to various treatments; this formula is highly effective.
Baoshang Liuhuang (Cinnabar from overseas/Sulfur), Shuiyin (Hydrargyrum), Sha (Borax) (remove sand and stones, 1 fen).
Grind these three substances into powder in a mortar. Then place them in an iron pot and melt over alternating mild and strong heat. Stir evenly with fire chopsticks. Allow to cool, cut into pieces, wrap in paper, and bury in a pit for one night. Retrieve and grind finely again. Next, add Chishao Yao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra), Dang Gui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), Jingsanleng (Rhizoma Sparganii), Peng'ezhu (Rhizoma Curcumae Zedoariae), Hong Hua (Flos Carthami) (each 1 fen, used together).
Finely chop them, decoct with 1 sheng of medicinal wine until reduced by half. Strain the liquid, grind in a stone mortar, squeeze out juice through raw cloth, and boil again. Let cool, add sifted flour to make a paste, knead into pills sized like mung beans. Treats pain in the abdomen and hypochondrium caused by postpartum dietary injury with stagnation, which is unbearable when it occurs. Administer 7 to 10 pills with warm Dang Gui-infused wine (prepared by soaking Dang Gui in 1 sheng of wine). To treat grinding of masses, take 3 to 5 pills on an empty stomach with warm wine. The remaining dregs should be squeezed dry, baked, and ground into powder. Add separately:
Gan Dihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata), Zhen Puhuang (Pollen Typhae), Yuanhua (Flos Genkwa) (each 1 fen, stir-fried with vinegar until scorched yellow).
Grind the above into powder. Use the previous method to make paste and form pills sized like mung beans. Treats cold qi attacking the heart causing pain in women, and all kinds of blood disorders. Administer 10 pills with warm wine.
