上锉散。每服四钱，水一盏半，姜五片，枣二枚，煎七分，空心温服。或大便秘，则去
桂。
Treatment for stroke complicated by summerheat, sudden fainting, cyanotic and black complexion, flaccidity and weakness of the four limbs. Preference for yawning and stretching, deviation of the mouth and eyes, numbness and insensitivity of the four limbs, tendency to laugh.
Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) [remove forked branches], Zexie (Alismatis Rhizoma), Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex), Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum) [stir-fried with flour, remove skin and tips], Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Preparatum), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Preparata). All in equal parts.
Crush into powder. Take 4 qian per dose, decoct with 1.5 zhan of water until reduced to 0.7 zhan, take before meals.
Treatment for wind-dampness invasion, dizziness and mental confusion, abdominal distension and heaviness of the body, flaccidity and laxity of hands and feet, spontaneous sweating, aphonia and inability to speak, incontinence of urine and feces.
Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata, raw) [remove skin and navel], Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) [each half liang], Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) [one liang], Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Preparata) [one fen].
Crush into powder. Take 4 qian per dose, decoct with 1.5 zhan of water until reduced to 0.7 zhan, take before meals.
Treatment for cold-dampness invasion, dizziness and syncope with flaccidity and weakness, or stiffness and tension of the waist and back, deviation of the mouth and eyes, turbid voice, abdominal distension, and upward rushing qi with panting.
Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata) [prepared, remove skin and navel], Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba) [remove joints, wash with hot water], Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) [remove rhizome base], Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Preparatum), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Preparata), Renshen (Ginseng Radix).
All in equal parts.
Crush into powder. Take 4 qian per dose, decoct with 1.5 zhan of water until reduced to 0.7 zhan, take before meals.
Treatment for exposure to summerheat followed by rain, stagnation and eruption of summerheat-dampness, numbness and insensitivity of the four limbs, hemiplegia, difficulty in joint movement, flaccidity and inability to hold the limbs. Or fainting during bathing, deviated eyes, dragging of hands and feet; all belong to the category of damp-warmth diseases.
Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata) [prepared, remove skin and navel], Fuling (Poria), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Preparatum) [prepared], Zexie (Alismatis Rhizoma), Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex). All in equal parts.
Crush into powder. Take 4 qian per dose, decoct with 1.5 zhan of water until reduced to 0.7 zhan, take before meals.
Treatment for cold-dampness causing bodily restlessness and pain, absence of sweating, aversion to cold and fever.
Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba) [remove joints, three liang], Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex) [two liang], Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Preparata) [one liang], Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum) [twenty grains, remove skin and tips], Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) [four liang].
Crush into powder. Take 4 qian per dose, decoct with 1.5 zhan of water until reduced to 0.7 zhan, take warm before meals.
Treatment for wind-dampness intermingling and struggling, causing bodily restlessness and pain, severe pain preventing flexion and extension, sweating, shortness of breath, difficult urination, aversion to wind with reluctance to undress, and slight swelling of the body.
Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus) [remove bark, four liang], Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) [remove rhizome base], Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata) [prepared, remove skin and navel; each three liang], Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Preparata) [two liang].
Crush into powder. Take 4 qian per dose, decoct with 1.5 zhan of water, add five slices of fresh ginger and two dates, reduce to 0.7 zhan, take warm on an empty stomach. If constipation is present, remove Guizhi.
