Each dose is two qian. Take a small amount of *Celastrus root* (Ku Lian Gen), decoct in water, and take the medicine with the decoction. It is also effective for recent-onset conditions. (See formula above.)
*Pyrrosiae Folium* (He Shi) [Note: Text says He Shi, usually refers to Ascaris seed or similar parasitic herb in this context, but literal translation of entity name], *Cerussa* (Hu Fen), *Areca Seed* (Bing Lang), *Alumen* (Bai Fan) (half raw, half calcined), *Celastrus Cortex* (Ku Lian Gen Pi) (each half liang), *Chuanxinlian* (Wu Yi), *Coptidis Rhizoma* (Huang Lian), *Punica Granatum Cortex* (Suan Shi Liu Pi).
Grind the above into powder, mix with paste to form pills the size of hemp seeds. For a one-year-old infant, administer three pills. Administer with Jiangshui (fermented grain water) mixed with three to five drops of sesame oil to expel parasites; small parasites dissolve into water, large parasites are expelled naturally.
Treats roundworms (Ascaris lumbricoides) and tapeworms (Taenia saginata).
*Celastrus Root* (Ku Lian Gen) (one liang), *Pyrrosiae Folium* (He Shi), *Areca Seed* (Bing Lang) (each half liang), *Gleditsia Sinensis Fruit* (Zhu Ya Zao Jiao) (three pods, burned to ash), *Quisqualis Indica Fruit* (Shi Jun Zi Ren) (half liang). Grind each finely, sieve, and mix uniformly. Each dose is "yi zi" (a traditional measure). Mix with light pork broth and take before meals.
Treats severe abdominal pain caused by parasites due to ingestion of coarse food, leading to emaciation.
*True Cerussa* (Zhen Hu Fen) (stir-fried), *Areca Seed* (Bing Lang), *Aucubae Fructus* (Chuan Lian Zi) (stir-fried, pitted), *Pyrrosiae Folium* (He Shi) (stir-fried) (each two liang), *Alumen* (Bai Fan) (two qian half, used raw).
Grind the above into powder. Mix with rice drink and take when pain occurs, preferably on an empty stomach before washing face and teeth. Alternatively, form pills the size of hemp seeds. Children often have various intestinal parasites and weak viscera, with reduced appetite or lethargy. If these parasites are not treated, they multiply endlessly; if they grow to one chi long, they can harm the person. For a one-year-old infant, administer five pills. Mix warm Jiangshui with one or two drops of clear oil, then administer with warm rice drink. Small parasites dissolve into water, large parasites are expelled naturally.
