Treating milk accumulation (Ru Ji), characterized by vomiting and diarrhea of milk with a sour and foul odor. This condition arises from feeding the infant while crying has not ceased, causing the milk to stagnate and fail to digest.
Dingxiang (Caryophylli Flos), Wumei (Mume Fructus) (five pieces, stir-fried), Badou (Crotonis Fructus) (fourteen pieces, oil and shell removed), Suosharen (Amomi Fructus Rotundus) (equal parts).
Grind the above into powder, form pills with wheat paste. Take seven pills per dose, administered with rice water.
Treating food accumulation (Shi Ji) resulting in a hard abdomen, accompanied by heat, thirst, diarrhea, or vomiting. These are caused by uncontrolled diet, overeating, and sleeping immediately after full meals.
Wumei (Mume Fructus) (eight pieces, flesh only), Badou (Crotonis Fructus) (sixteen grains, shell removed), Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride) (5 qian, inner pith removed), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) (5 qian, white pith removed).
Grind the above into powder, form pills with rice paste, sized like millet seeds. Take seven pills per dose, administered with rice water. (Its potency is such that it can dissolve iron.)
Treating food accumulation (Shi Ji), manifesting as swollen and yellowed face and eyes, abdominal heat and distending pain, preference for prone sleeping with excessive drowsiness, intense crying and refusal to eat. Or dryness and astringency in the large intestine, involuntary defecation, with white and sour-smelling feces. Administration yields significant efficacy. (See this formula in the section on various accumulations and malaria in the Major Department.)
Treating qi accumulation (Qi Ji) causing abdominal pain and crying, with stool resembling crab saliva. This results from emotional shock disrupting qi flow, disharmony of Ying and Wei (nutritive and defensive qi), and prolonged stagnation of fluids. Suhexiang Wan (Styrax Pills) and Ganying Wan (Miracle Response Pills) in equal parts, mixed and formed into pills the size of millet seeds. Take thirty pills with Perilla Decoction; immediate efficacy is expected! (See this formula in the sections on Qi disorders and constipation in the Major Department.)
Post-treatment regulation after expelling accumulations.
Shilian Rou (Nelumbinis Plumula), Peng'Ezhu (Curcumae Rhizoma), Yizhiren (Alpiniae Oxyphyllae Fructus), Jing Sanleng (Sparganii Rhizoma), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (each 1 liang), Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride) (inner pith removed), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) (white pith removed, each 3 liang).
Cut into coarse fragments for decoction. Take 2 qian per dose, add one cup of water, two slices of fresh ginger, one jujube, and a little salt. Decoct and take orally. Alternatively, taken with salt water or mixed with salt and wine.
Suoxiang Fuqi Tang (Perilla and Cyperus Decoction) combined with Pingwei San (Peaceful Stomach Powder) harmonizes qi, nourishes the stomach, and resolves accumulation. Take 1 qian per dose, administered with Perilla and salt water; frequent administration is particularly beneficial. (See this formula in the Major Department.)
Treating conditions caused by consuming coarse meats and rich, sweet, and fatty foods, leading to internal heat generation, emaciation, and physical weakness. Symptoms include spitting clear saliva, swelling and pain around the lips, colicky abdominal pain, and expulsion of parasites from the mouth and nose. If untreated, the prognosis is poor. Shijunzi (Quisqualis Fructus) (40 pieces, shell removed), Leiwan (Holostei Semen), Dingfen (Cerussa), Qingfen (Calomelas), Qingxiangzi (Celosiae Semen), Heshi (Chrysanthemi Indici Flos) (each 1 fen).
Grind the above into powder. Mix with chicken or duck eggs and steam into cakes. Administer this medicine at the fifth watch (around 3-5 AM) after an overnight fast, followed by scallion water to assist in expelling the parasites. (See this formula in the preceding text.)
