Chenpi (Exocarpium Citri Reticulatae, half a jin, stir-fried until purple) Chenmi (aged rice, half a jin, stir-fried) Huoxiang (Agastache Herba) Matixiang (Dipterocarpus Turbinatus Resin, one liang each) Shexiang (Musk, one qian, processed separately).
Grind the above ingredients into fine powder, add Musk, mix with cold water, and apply with a brush to the suppurating areas of the sores. If the skin is broken, wash first with decoction of Sophora branch, then apply the medicine. These ten prescriptions are for treating Leprosy (Feng Disease).
Yujin (Curcuma Rhizome, one and a half liang) Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, one liang, processed) Baiqianniu (Pharbitidis Semen, six qian, half raw, half stir-fried) Zaojiaoci (Gleditsiae Spina, one liang, processed, stored for years).
Grind the above ingredients into fine powder. Take five qian per dose. Before sunrise, face east, and take with unfermented wine, drinking to capacity. In the evening, black-headed small worms will be expelled. For patients with milder symptoms, continue treatment as described previously.
Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) Shudihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata) Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) Jingjisui (Schizonepetae Spica, two liang each) Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) Beixixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, one liang each, remove leaves) Guixin (Cinnamomi Ramulus, one fen).
Cut the above ingredients into pieces. Soak in one sheng of vinegar overnight, drain, and dry by roasting. Then soak in juice extracted from one jin of fresh Shengdihuang (Rehmanniae Radix) overnight, dry by roasting again, and finally soak in one sheng of wine for a full day and night.
Treat chronic, oozing Leprosy sores.
Sangye (Mori Folium) Heye (Nelumbinis Folium) Dihuangye (Rehmanniae Folium) Zaojiaoye (Gleditsiae Fructus Folium) Ye [Note: Text implies generic leaf or specific missing name] Canerye (Xanthii Folium) Changpuye (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma Folium) Heshouwuye (Polygoni Multiflori Folium).
Take equal parts of the above leaves, dry them, burn until carbonized but retaining efficacy (charcoal), grind into powder. Use like facial powder to wash hands, face, and body. Treats severe Leprosy, ulcers, toxic sores, profuse purulent discharge, and heavy burdens of disease.
Treats Wind affecting the Five Viscera and Huan Feng (Wind-induced paralysis/convulsion). Also treats Hongxiang Jiao (Beriberi) swelling and pain caused by wind-toxin. Take three qian per dose, decoct with one and a half lamps of water and four slices of fresh ginger, take warm. (See previous text.)
Treats Zhong Feng (Stroke) and various wind syndromes, including sudden collapse with loss of consciousness, flooding of phlegm-saliva, stiff tongue and dysarthria, or coma, ulceration, flaccidity, cold extremities, and spasms, regardless of whether the pathogen is in the exterior or interior, shallow or deep. (Prescription see previous text.)
Regulate Qi; when Qi is harmonious, Wind disperses. (Prescription see Da Fang Ke, Qi category.)
