Emergency rescue. For treating injuries from falling off horses or carts, or being beaten to the point of wrist and arm fractures, accompanied by incessant crying out. After taking this medicine, severe pain will subside within a breath's time, and it should be taken continuously for three days.
Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (stir-fried until fragrant), Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (honey-fried), Shujiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium) (de-oiled, each 3 fen), Xiongnu (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (6 fen, stir-fried), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) (processed, skin removed).
Grind the above herbs into fine powder. Take 2-3 qian with wine, three times a day. If a child is injured by a running cart or horse, damaging the knee such that the skin and flesh are ruptured and bone joints are exposed, and the child appears dead but has just regained slight consciousness, use cold water... [Text incomplete].
For all kinds of cuts from metal blades, arrow wounds, and blunt force trauma to the body, or bites from cats and dogs, even leading to death. Immediately apply the powder to the wound. As yellow fluid drains out, re-applying the powder will lead to recovery without further pain. In cases of internal injury where blood enters the viscera, heat young boy's urine, add a little wine, mix well, and take orally for immediate effect. If intestines protrude due to a bull goring and are not damaged, immediately push them back inside. Use the fluffy tips of mulberry root bark as thread to suture the abdomen; life can be restored immediately after suturing. If mulberry root bark is unavailable, raw hemp thread may be used. Do not seal or wrap the wound, lest pus and blood form. If the wound is dry, moisten with saliva before applying the powder. (See the formula in the Major Department category for hemorrhage.)
For treating blunt force trauma and fractures, internal injury to the lungs and liver, incessant hematemesis, or stagnation of blood stasis internally causing abdominal distension and fullness.
Zijin Tengpi (Uncariae Ramulus Cum Uncis? Or specific local herb, literally Purple Gold Vine Bark - likely a specific regional herb or typo for Zijin Hua/Teng), Jiangzhenxiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum), Xuduan (Dipsaci Radix), Buguzhi (Psoraleae Fructus), Wumingyi (Hematitum) (heated red-hot, quenched in wine seven times), Hupo (Succinum) (ground separately), Puhuang (Typhae Pollen), Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix) (...ground, each 1 liang 5 qian).
Grind the above herbs into fine powder. Take 2 qian per dose. Decoct Sumu (Bubalus Cornu) and Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) thickly, mix with wine, and take together for three doses. Relief comes once bowel movement occurs.
For treating blunt force internal injury and pain in bones and tendons.
Moyao (Myrrha), Kongxiang (likely Ruxiang / Frankincense - Boswelliae Resina), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Alba/Rubra), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Chuanjiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium) (remove seeds and closed ones), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (each half liang), Ziran Tong (Hematitum) (2 liang 5 qian, heated in charcoal fire).
Grind the above herbs into fine powder. Melt 2 liang of yellow beeswax, continuously stir in the herbal powder until evenly mixed. Form pills the size of a bullet. Take one pill per dose. Boil in good wine and take while hot... [Text incomplete].
