*Gan Song Xiang* (Nardostachys Radix), *Mang Cao* (Daphne Genkwa Cortex), Chuan Wu (Aconitum Carmichaelii Radix, peeled and processed), Bei Xi Xin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, leaves removed), Liu Huang (Sulfur), Xiang Fu Zi (Cyperi Rhizoma, stir-fried).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Dip a finger into a small amount and rub it on the teeth; relief is immediate. It is beneficial to rinse with salt water afterward.
Secret Recipe:
To treat chronic toothache lasting for years. Grind Feng Xiang Zhi (Liquidambar Resin) into a powder, mix it with the ash from an incense burner used daily, sieve it again, and use it to rub the teeth during daily face washing to prevent recurrence forever. Rinsing thoroughly with warm water before bed is recommended.
To treat receding gums and bleeding.
Bai Cao Shuang (Fuliginis Herba), Xiao Ji (Cirsii Japonici Herba), Xiang Fu Zi (Cyperi Rhizoma, stir-fried and hairs removed), Zhen Pu Huang (Typhae Pollen, authentic). (Each 5 qian).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder and apply to the teeth; healing is immediate.
To treat toothache. Take one handful of aged Yuan Hua (Genkwa Flos) and 5 qian of Gan Cao Jie (Licorice Root nodes), cut finely, and decoct separately. First, hold the Yuan Hua decoction in the mouth and spit it out; then hold the Gan Cao decoction in the mouth for a short while until effective.
To treat carious tooth pain, rub Mang Cao (Daphne Genkwa Cortex) powder three to five times; the "worms" will disappear.
To treat wind-induced carious toothache, burn old loofah that has been killed by frost until carbonized (preserving its nature), grind into powder, and apply to the painful area for immediate cessation of pain.
To treat blood-wind induced carious tooth.
Xiong Huang (Realgar), Ru Xiang (Olibanum Resin) (Each 1 qian, ground into powder), Ma Huang (Ephedrae Herba) (0.5 qian), Bai Zhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) (one yi measure).
Grind the above ingredients uniformly. When pain occurs, first bite a piece of Jing Jie Sui (Schizonepeta Spike) on the painful spot; remove it when the mouth feels cool. Then, moisten a strip of bark paper with saliva, apply a small amount of the medicine, and use as needed for pain.
Another prescription: Lu Feng Fang (Vespa Nest), Chuan Jiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium, stir-fried) 1 qian. Grind into powder. Decoct 2 qian each time, add a little salt, and gargle while hot.
Another prescription: For wind-carious toothache, pierce an apricot kernel with a needle, smoke it over a lamp wick dipped in clear oil. While hot, press the kernel against the affected tooth. Repeat smoking and pressing seven times.
To treat worm-induced toothache.
Hong Chuan Jiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium, red variety) (3 qian), Ming Ru Xiang (Olibanum Resin, clear variety) (1 qian).
Grind together finely, melt wax, and form pills the size of sesame seeds. Use one pill per application, inserting it into the cavity.
Topical Application:
To reduce swelling.
Tian Hua Fen (Trichosanthis Radix), Bai Zhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Chi Xiao Dou (Adzuki Bean), Yu Jin (Curcumae Longae Radix), Jing Jie (Schizonepetae Herba), Bo He (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba). (Equal parts).

Place all ingredients in a porcelain bottle, seal tightly with yellow mud, burn with chaff fire overnight. After cooling, take out and grind finely. Use according to standard methods.
Teeth growing progressively day by day, causing the mouth to swell open and making eating difficult, is caused by marrow overflow. Taking Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) alone can cure this, along with rinsing with boiled water.
Flesh obstruction between teeth is often caused by consuming salty and hot foods. Take one bowl of Sheng Di Huang Zhi (Rehmanniae Radix juice) and several strips of Zhu Ya Zao Jiao (Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus with spines). Heat them on fire, dip into the cooled juice until exhausted.
