Acupoint Selection Method:
First, select two acupoints: Have the patient stand upright. Take a thin string (treated with wax to prevent stretching or shrinking), place it flat against the sole of the foot, and press it firmly with the skin in contact. For males, use the left foot; for females, the right foot. Align the front end of the string with the tip of the great toe. Extend the rear end from the center of the heel backwards along the calf muscle, keeping it close to the skin, until reaching the popliteal crease (quxi), then cut the string. Next, have the patient untie their hair, parting it on both sides to expose the midline suture of the head. From the fontanelle (xinhui), divide equally towards the back of the head. Then, have the patient sit upright. Take the previously cut end of the string, align it with the tip of the nose, and guide the string upwards along the head's midline suture to the back of the head. Keep it close to the skin and guide it downwards along the spinal column. Mark the point where the end of the string falls exactly on the spine with ink (this ink mark is not the moxibustion site). Take another string, have the patient close their mouth, and place the string across the mouth from one corner to the other. Lift the center of the string up to the root of the nasal bridge, forming a triangle shape. This length corresponds to the distance between the two corners of the mouth. Cut the string here, straighten it out, and use it to measure horizontally across the ink mark on the spine previously marked, ensuring it is level (do not let it be high or low). (Fold the string in half first, mark the center with ink, then unfold the string to measure horizontally. Align the ink mark on the string with the spine; the ink mark represents the center. Ensure both ends are level.) These are the two points marked in the first step.
Second, select two acupoints: Have the patient sit upright with arms slightly retracted. Take a string, wrap it around the neck forwards, letting both ends hang down to align with the Jiwei (CV15) acupoint (Jiwei refers to the xiphoid process; if the xiphoid process is indistinct, measure one cun below the bifurcation of the lower ribs at the chest center, which corresponds to Jiwei). Cut the string at this double-hanging position. Turn the string over so the ends face the back of the neck. Find the midpoint of the string and align it with the center, directly above the laryngeal prominence (Adam's apple). The two ends of the string should hang down on both sides of the neck, following the spinal column. Mark the point on the spine with ink (this ink mark is not the moxibustion site). Take another string, have the patient close their mouth, and measure horizontally across the mouth corners to cut the string. Return to the spine and measure horizontally across the ink mark as before. The two ends of the string... These are the points marked in the second step. In total, there are four acupoints. Perform moxibustion simultaneously on these points, seven to fourteen moxa cones per session daily, accumulating to one hundred or one hundred and fifty moxa cones.
Third, select two acupoints: Use the string that measured the mouth corners in the second step. At the ink mark where the double string ends fell in the second step, directly above and below on the spinal column, mark vertically, aligning the midpoint of the string... These are the two points marked in the third step, known as the "Four Flowers" (Sihua) acupoints. Moxa each of these two acupoints with one hundred cones. In total, three steps yield six acupoints. After measuring and marking all points, proceed with moxibustion. Moxa from the third day of the third lunar month is best. Within one hundred days after recovery, avoid certain foods and sexual activity, rest peacefully, and recuperate quietly. If symptoms persist after one month, resume moxibustion on the original acupoints.

There are twenty-two types of differentiation and verification for conditions arising after Bone Steaming (Gu Zheng), all of which should be treated with moxibustion according to the methods described above.
1. Bladder Steaming (red and yellow urine)
2. Jade Chamber Steaming (nocturnal emission and spermatorrhea in men; irregular menstrual bleeding in women)
3. Brain Steaming (dizziness, heat, and oppression in the head)
4. Marrow Steaming (sensation of boiling heat in the marrow)
5. Bone Steaming (blackening of teeth)
6. Tendon Steaming (brittle and dry nails)
7. Blood Steaming (dry and brittle hair)
8. Vessel Steaming (irregular pulse rhythm)
9. Liver Steaming (occasional dizziness and blurred vision)
10. Heart Steaming (dry tongue, ulcers, or occasional chest fullness)
11. Spleen Steaming (dry and cracked lips or oral ulcers)
12. Lung Steaming (dry mouth and oral ulcers)
13. Kidney Steaming (dry and blackened ears)
14. Bladder Steaming (blackened right ear)
15. Gallbladder Steaming (loss of vision)
16. Stomach Steaming (pain under the tongue)
17. Small Intestine Steaming (incontinence of diarrhea)
18. Large Intestine Steaming (pain in the right nostril)
19. Sanjiao Steaming (alternating chills and fever)
20. Flesh Steaming (others feel hot while the patient feels cold)
21. Skin Steaming (fleshy growths resembling chicken flesh on the skin and muscles)
22. Qi Steaming (generalized intense heat and inability to rest)
Method of Acupoint Measurement Using Cuns:
The dimensions of all acupoints vary according to the size of the patient's body. Follow the principle of male left and female right. Measure one cun as the distance between the two transverse creases at the center joint of the finger.
